There is some bad news for Nepal. The match between Nepal and Saudi Arabia has been delayed as a result of rain interruption. Nepal currently leads Group A with 4 points from 2 matches, but probably they were expecting 2 points from this match, as KSA is a very weak team. Oman is also having 4 points and there is a good chance that they may overtake Nepal if they are able to win the next match. The other match is between Bahrain and Hong Kong in Group B. Currently Hong Kong is leading Group B with 4 points, but once again the match has been delayed as a result of rain.

As a result of the rain interruption, the teams that are leading can actually run into problems. Obviously they will be looking to keep their position at the top of the table as long as possible, especially if the opposition is weaker than themselves in the match. But on the other hand, the weaker opponents are going to want to kind of not play. It would be fine with them if they were to share points if that was the way to go about it. Nevertheless, I do hope that all the matches will be played as scheduled.

And Nepal team has been playing cricket since long time and they are always excited about cricket and research how to take the team forward.

Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates are leading with 5 and 4 points respectively and the other teams are far behind. IMO, these 4 teams may qualify for the semi-finals: Nepal, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong.

Singapore vs Kuwait

Today these two teams played match and Singapore batted first and made 113 runs it means gave a target of 114 runs to Kuwait. And Kuwait chased the target with in 26 overs and gave 6 wickets.

And the second match was between...

Qatar vs Malaysia
In this match Qatar played first and gave the target of 215 runs. But Qatar made these runs in 35 overs. And gave 8 wickets.
 And Malaysian team tried really well but unfortunately they didn't chased. They made only 202 runs in 32 overs. And gave 7 wickets.

Singapore vs Kuwait

Today these two teams played match and Singapore batted first and made 113 runs it means gave a target of 114 runs to Kuwait. And Kuwait chased the target with in 26 overs and gave 6 wickets.

Kuwait vs Singapore
 In the match between these two teams, Kuwait won by 4 wickets. Singapore team lost the match due to some mistakes by the players. Singapore was all out for 113 runs in 31.4 overs. Singapore team batsman Amartya Kaul was out for 45 runs from 60 balls. Aaryan Modi was out for 8 balls.  Got out by 0 runs. But Kuwait played very well in the match from the beginning to the end. Great performance in bowling and batting.

Last of the group matches in 2023 ACC Men's Premier Cup will be played during the next two days. Nepal has already qualified for the semi-finals, and the other three slots will be decided on the basis of the remaining matches. From Group A, either Oman or Saudi Arabia are likely to qualify along with Nepal, as these two teams are going to face-off against each other tomorrow. In case the match gets washed out, then Oman will qualify as a result of their superior run-rate. From Group B, United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong are the most probable teams.

Kashyap Prajapati was dismissed with 50 runs off 53 balls. And Jatinder Singh 88 runs off 79 balls.  The batsmen of Oman team are batting well. If they keep the wickets and play like this, Oman may score more than 350 runs today. However, Saudi Arabia seems to be very weak in the bowling line for which so many runs have been scored in 35 overs.

And in Group B, United Arab Emirates may qualify for the semi-finals as they are in a strong position against Bahrain. The batsmen of the Oman team performed well in batting, but the players of the Saudi Arabia team performed poorly in the bowling as well as the Saudi Arabia team got all out in the batting.  All batsmen.Saudi Arabia were all out for 294 runs in 46.5 overs.Oman team batsman Jatinder Singh scored 88 runs off 79 balls.Mohammad Nadeem scored 71 runs off 38 balls.

Saudi did try to get close to the target that was set for them. But from early on they were under pressure from early on. They were actually never capable of keeping up with the run rate. And trying to keep the run rate they actually lost wickets at regular intervals.

Saudi did start well but did start well but they were not able to finish well at all. They lost their way in the middle. And it is actually understandable as you guys said that Oman has a better experience. The only thing that matters is Saudi actually lost in the match. They have also lost the match by a big margin. So no one is probably going to talk about how well they have performed.

Last two group stage matches in the ACC Men's Premier Cup will be played today, and both of them are very crucial. Nepal will be taking on Qatar in the first match. Nepal has already qualified for the semi-finals, and even if they lose today it will not create them any issues. On the other hand, the winner of the match between Hong Kong and Kuwait will be the second team to qualify from Group B (United Arab Emirates have already qualified for the semi-finals from this group). And as I mentioned in one of my previous posts, getting in to the semis doesn't mean anything. Only the winner of the tournament will qualify for the Asia Cup.

In the 17 match of ACC Mens Premier Cup 2023, Oman and Saudi Arabia fight each other where Saudi Arabia lost the match by a big margin. The reason behind this may be the consistency of batsmen in the Oman team, top order 5 batsmen of Oman team managed to score consecutively good score. For example, Kashyap-51, Jatinder Singh-88, Shoaib Khan-68, Zeeshan Maqsood-54, Mohammad Nadeem-71, on the other hand, Saudi Arabia's top-order 5 batsmen didn't performed accordingly Abdul Waheed-95, Waqar Ul Hassan-3, Saad Khan-78, Hisham Sheikh-36 Abdul Manan Ali -0 these some the batsman batting disaster may be the cause for defeating the match. But Saudi Arabia is also a potential team to do better in the future.

I don't know what happened to Nepal. They got bowled out for just 157 runs against Qatar. Sandeep Lamichhane at no.10 top scored with 42, and he added 46 runs for the 10th wicket partnership with Lalit Rajbanshi (the latter scored just 1 run). Nepal will be able to qualify for the semi-finals even if they lose today's match, but in all probability they will be facing Hong Kong in the knockout phase. And Hong Kong is the strongest team from Group B. This is what I don't like about Nepal. They work really hard, but when it matters they lose crucial matches.
