Nepal lost both openers for zero and still they manage to give a target of 310. I am just getting a feeling that Nepal will be new Afghanistan like team. Kushal Malla score 108 runs on just 64 balls along with Sompal Kami who scored 63 runs on 48 balls. In reply Oman batting was not upto the mark. Only two players Nadeem and Sandeep scored runs. Now Nepal is at number one position in his group after winning both of its games.

Congratulations for winning the match. 

Nepal's game was very good and they won by a huge margin. but it was very funny and disappointing that Nepal's opening two players K. Bhurtel and A. Sheikh could not score any runs despite playing 8 and 10 balls in total of 18 balls. But K. Malla, S. kami and K. khatri-chhetri collected very good runs.  And I think they deserve more credit. However, all in all 310 runs was a very good score. their other side Oman scored only 226 runs and Nepal won by 84 runs

The quality of play of the Oman team players was very poor due to which the performance in the match was so bad.

Thailan(W) vs Zimbabwe(W)

These two teams played the second ODI. Thailand women team won the match. Thailand women team made 217 runs. And Zimbabwe women team tried very well. They made 169 runs in 50 overs and gave 9 wickets. And from both teams only one woman made 50+ runs. Natthakan Chantham who made 54 runs in this match. Thailand played really well in this match.

For the Thailand women, the first wicket partnership was very crucial. The first wicket for the Thailand team who has fallen on 101. But on the other hand, Zimbabwe women’s team lost two wickets for only one run... lol

That was the time when they lost control over the match. Thailand was able to have control of the match since then. Zimbabwe was never able to keep up with the run rate. They also lost wickets at regular intervals.

If they could keep the target anything between 270 I think they had a good chance. We all know that Oman was trying to score quickly and that’s why they lost quick wickets. If the score was less than 270, I think that pressure wouldn’t have been there. Great performance from Nepal in both batting and bowling.

The ICC did their best in sabotaging Nepali cricket over the years. If you look at the funding structure, Nepal is receiving only 20% of the amount that they used to receive a decade ago. But now the Cricket Association of Nepal has become more or less self-sufficient. They are generating significant amount of revenues within Nepal and are not overdependent on the ICC. And among the full members, Nepal hasn't received support from anyone except Pakistan. But now the ICC doesn't have any choice other than to increase the funding, since their performance has been exceptional in the recent past.

Most of the new teams do not have native players and that is the main reason that they are not able to sustain the performance because only the native players will play in the true spirit of the country while the non-native players' only motive is to earn money by playing cricket for that country.

I do not know much about the origin of the players playing in the Nepal team ?
Are most of them Native players? If so, I can assume that Nepal will become one of the good teams who can give tough time to teams like Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Srilanka.

The outstanding effort Saudi Arabia put forth against Qatar. The team performed remarkably well and it was obvious that they were focused on winning. It is very impressive that they were able to chase down Qatar 216 runs while only losing two wickets. Waqar ul Hassan and Abdul Waheed both put in outstanding performances scoring 54 runs in 54 balls and 126 runs in 104 balls respectively. What a fantastic combination by Waqar ul Hassan  It is impossible to exaggerate how important they were to the team's success. They played with obvious passion and grit so it is not surprising that their efforts were successful. Congratulations to Saudi Arabia on their well earned victory and here's hoping they maintain their impressive play in upcoming matches.

In first game Qatar gave a small target of 216 runs to Saudi which was chased easily by Saudi in 35th over. From Qatar side, Muhammad Tanveer was the highest runs scorer with 46 runs. Saudi have 118 runs openng stand between Muhammad Tanveer and Waqar. Tanveer scored 124 runs on just 108 balls and Waqar ul Hasan scored 55 runs on 55 balls.
Game between Kuwait and Bahrain was a bit interesting then the first one. Bahrain batting first gave a target of 255 runs which is chased by Kuwait in 45th over.

If Saudi Arabia team had lost some early wickets the match could've went upto the last overs of the match. Abdul Waheed and Waqar Ul Hassan had a good partnership. Hope the players maintain consistency in their performance.

On the other match it was Kuwait that won against Bahrain. Bahrain managed to set a target of 255 runs and Kuwait chased it with little difficulty as there is fall of wickets at regular interval. Almost every player contributed little runs that helped the team win the match.

ACC Premier League ODI Match Bahrain vs Kuwait
Kuwait defeated Bahrain by two wickets with 34 balls remaining in a thrilling ACC Premier League ODI match between the two teams. After winning the toss Kuwait decided to bowl first and Bahrain set a target of 256 runs for a victory Kuwat chased down the target of 258 runs in 45 overs. Fans were on the edge of their seats the entire time as a result of the intense competition. Yasin Patel received the Player of the Match award for his outstanding all around performance. Patel performances both with the bat and the ball were essential to Kuwait victory he Scored a match winning 69 runs. His calm play at the plate and critical wickets helped his team win the match. Congratulations to Kuwait for their well deserved victory over Bahrain in a hard fought match.

Any score set by Zimbabwe Women could be a tough challenge for Thailand Women. However, this picture may change in the field.
