And in the last 15-20 overs, their bowlers looked as if they have given up. The Nepali bowlers were conceding 10-12 runs per over. With a bit more discipline they could have restricted West Indies to somewhere around 300. And given the fact that they managed to get to 238, it could have been a close match if they had done so. Even after the pitch became batting-friendly, UAE could not bat well. But I don't think the batsmen will play badly in every match. I think the UAE team will make a great comeback against Scotland. Since most of the matches are played on batting-friendly pitches, the chances of winning are less if the batsmen do not play well. UAE batsmen have the ability to score more than 300. West Indies was struggling at 55/3. Shai Hope was really good for West Indies after that. His performance alone took West Indies to a great total. I almost forgot about Pooran as well. Both of them have scored centuries each. Let’s be honest, 339 was never going to be chased down by Nepal. Only two bowlers from Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane, and Rajbanshi performed well in the first innings for Nepal. The others almost didn’t do anything, to be honest.

On the other hand, Nepal was not able to get a move on at all. Whenever they were trying to do anything they lost wickets. I thought they should have got a little more compared to what they did. But in the end, they were not even able to play out the whole 50 overs.

And it will be an embarrassment for the ICC as one of the full member nations can't win against associate nations and get kicked out during the group phase. This is what happens to the inexperienced teams very frequently. Even after getting the opponents under pressure, they simply allow the situation to get out of hand. But the West Indies team didn't gain credibility. This is because two batsmen had two centuries but the rest of the team could not do anything. If they can qualify for the World Cup with this team, it is not unusual for them to fall badly. Everyone must cooperate to take the team to a good level. Otherwise their journey will stop  early. But since that is still a long way, they must be praised based on current performance.

Which points table are you referring to? I just checked the Group B points table for the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier, and it shows Oman at the top with Sri Lanka at the second spot. United Arab Emirates is at the bottom but they have got a good start in today's match against Scotland and they may get two points from that match. Anyway, these two teams (Oman and UAE) are full of former first class players from India and Pakistan, which naturally gives them a big advantage compared to other teams such as Scotland and Nepal.

Today's match of UAE vs Scotland is a very tough one. Team UAE won the toss but they decided to do bowling first. According to the current statistics, the match is highly in the favor of UAE team and they are most likely to win the match if they continue playing like this. In 19 over Scotland team has made just 64 runs, and they have already got 4 of their players out during those overs. Scotland team has very fewer chances to cross the 200-run mark, and if they score anywhere around 170-190, then it won't be a hard target for team UAE. I'm quite sure that UAE team will have victory in this match, but it's still too early to decide.
