In case of Netherlands, they have got a few players of foreign origin, such as Aryan Dutt, Vikram Singh and Shariz Ahmed. But everyone has Dutch citizenship. The KNCB has a policy of including only citizens in their national squad. Players like Teja Nidamannaru were asked to get a Dutch passport before being considered for national team selection. Oman is not like that. Out of the 11 players in their XI for yesterday's match not a single one had Omani citizenship and none of the players were born in Oman. Even when the Omani national anthem was being sung, the players looked confused and none of them were signing it.

Today we have the match between Scotland and Zimbabwe. If Zimbabwe wins this match, they are through to the ODI world cup. On the other hand, in case Scotland wins, then they can qualify to the world cup if they defeat Netherlands in their next match.

Zimbabwe after a long time had made a come back and its to see them Shining in international cricket. Today match will be a good contest as Scotland have recently beaten West Indies. Zimbabwe need to be careful in today's match. 

There is a set back for PCB as BCCI refused to change venues for Pakistan matches with Afghanistan and Australia. Pakistan vs Afghanistan will take place in Chennai while Pakistan vs Australia will be at Bengaluru. PCB want these two venues to be swapped. I don't know whats the reason for this request. PCB must have guts to take a bold decision but they are still confused about this World Cup.

So far toss has played a very important role in most of the matches in this tournament. And for today's matches Zimbabwe and Ireland have won the toss (and both the teams selected fielding first). This give them an advantage. Scotland has started very cautiously, with Christopher McBride and Matthew Cross taking them to 24/0 after 7 overs. The pitch is very supportive for batting and any total of less than 300 would be cakewalk for Zimbabwe. For the 7th Place Playoff, Nepal is also in a similar situation. The reason why the players of the Scotland team did not score more runs was because of the high number of wickets falling first. Scotland's batting is helpless against the Zimbabwean bowlers as the most wickets have fallen since the power play and the performance of the Zimbabwean bowlers is high. And today's ground is famous for the bowling pitch that allowed the Scotland team to amass 234 runs and a small score against Zimbabwe. Disappointing as Zimbabwe lost the match against Scotland. The ground was in complete silence as Zimbabwe didn't qualify for the 2023 World Cup. The opening was a complete failure in chasing the easy target of 234 runs. Sole is awesome to break opening partnership taking 3 wickets. Scotland have managed to score good runs at the end overs. Those runs helped Scotland defend Zimbabwe. Burl and Raza tried to build partnership, but things didn't work as they calculated.

In the match between Nepal and Ireland the winning chance is high with Ireland as they need another 50 runs from 54 balls with 4 wickets in hand. Dockrell at 27 and Delany on the crease need to build the partnership than leaving to the bottom players.
