Betis - Girona was a balanced game in general. Girona started to accept the game in their half after getting ahead by 1-0. Betis tried to improve their attacks more in the second half and they got what they wanted in the last minutes finally. For once I thought Girona were really going to be victorious in this quite challenging away game.

I previously thought that Girona would be able to beat Real Betis because previously they could also beat Barcelona. However, it turns out that in this match, Girona had to end in a draw against Real Betis with a score of 1 - 1. In fact, Girona is still on fire, but Betis is not an easy club to beat. Luckily the result was still a draw so at least Girona still got one point. but on the other hand, if Real Madrid wins this time, Real Madrid will again win first place in La Liga.

However, this is still uncertain because up to now the match between Real Madrid vs Alaves is still ongoing and the result is still a draw 0 - 0 without a single goal being scored. Even though Real Madrid really dominated the game, for some reason their attacks were not strong enough and they also didn't have many opportunities to attack again more effectively and accurately.

Omg, that's bad. Nacho just got a red card in the 54th minute and this will really be detrimental for Real Madrid because they can only play with 10 players.

Even draw it not good for them because if Real Madrid win, and I am much confidence that Real Madrid can win the match against Alavés even though they are the one hosting Real Madrid, if eventually real Madrid win the match they will have equal points with Girona then the goal difference will determine who will be on the top of table, and real Madrid have more goals than Girona with this Madrid will top the table and Girona will move down to second position.

A draw will not help Real Madrid well enough in achieving the top position on the table as they desired to, the first half just ended a goalless draw and Real Madrid has been trying their best to making sure they are able to win this game, Bellingham is on the pitch tonight and I see that as enough hope for Real Madrid.

Alaves is trying so hard to maintain a goalless game so they will end up getting a point by the end of the match as it will be advantageous to them than it will be with Madrid, girona was able to draw their game tonight and the gap between Madrid and Girona current is such that if Madrid is able to win tonight, they will be able to stay a point ahead of Girona but a draw or a loss keeps rhsy behind Girona and of course I'm sure Madrid wouldn't want suvhas Thay currently are like the only sound team who can easily displace Girona from the top of the table.

Real Madrid will want to win this match since it is an opportunity for them to take the league lead after Girona draw 1-1 to Real Betis. Girona played very well but didn't get the chance to crack their defense, Real Betis played well and made Girona draw against them, they deserved to draw the match, and I believe Girona would have lost if they hadn't scored the penalty. Real Madrid have been performing well in the first half and need to overcome Alaves to top the league. Ancelotti must modify his tactics in the second half if he is to win the match, I predict Real Madrid will win tonight and top the table. Bellingham is on the field and will break the defense and score, and continue to lead the highest goal scoring in the league since I believe he will win the Golden Boot this season, because Lewandowski is not in good enough shape to compete with him.

In the end Real Madrid also got a 1-1 draw against Betis away recently. Girona also got the same result. If Real Madrid don't make big mistakes they should be able to beat Alaves easily. This must be enough to carry them to the top in the standings if I'm not wrong.

They're already having difficulty winning with that red card from Nacho Fernandez. Winning would see th equal the points with Girona but it doesn't seem like that will eventually happen tonight.
Against the top clubs above tenth position, they have some difficulties playing but have won Barcelona though so that doesn't really counts.

With what I'm seeing, it'll be Girona at the top of the standing for the first half of the season, if they can get players to balance them up during the transfer window, then they can continue same way up ahead.

I had a feeling that it was going to be a though game for Girona because Betis is a good team and they are at home. I knew Girona would score so I played them to have a goal, the odd was actually big and I was surprised why it that big.
Real Madrid had a dying minute winner against Alaves and now they're top of the La Liga going into the next year. It's going to be hard for Girona to get back on top because I feel Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona would be very serious next year and might occupy the top spots. At the same time, Girona doesn't look like a team that'll slow down so time will tell.

After Barcelona had difficulty winning, yesterday it was Girona and Real Madrid's turn to play and both teams also didn't do very well in this round despite Real Madrid getting a victory. First I will talk about Girona who played against Betis, who in the last 5 games has collected draws, meaning that any team that plays against Betis already expects a draw, and in this game it was no different, Girona scored the first goal thanks to the penalty and could even If we assumed that Girona were going to win the game since the game was already 2 minutes from the end, then there would be no surprise, until Betis conceded a goal in the 88th minute and with that the game ended in a draw. It was really sad for Girona, who had victory very close and lost points

while Girona was losing points, Real Madrid were playing against Alaves who are a very weak opponent, without a doubt they were seeing this game as being a very easy task and would get 3 points, but the minutes passed and the goals didn't come in. and in the 51st minute the real madrid player received a red card, meaning real madrid started to play with just 10 players on the field and with that the difficulty of scoring a goal became very difficult and when it was thought that the game would end in a draw, Real Madrid managed to score a goal that gave them victory. With this victory, Real Madrid now has the same points as Girona and is 7 points ahead of Barcelona. I highly doubt that Real Madrid won't be champions this season

Lucky lucky lucky win for 10 man Real Madrid!!

Really lucky for Real Madrid because I had already ruled the game as a draw game seeing that it got into the extra time, and it was still goalless. Real Madrid won this game because of the champions spirit to try to win games anyhow they can even with ten men that they played with from early in the start of the second half to the end. I am reasoning that this would have been an easy game for Real Madrid to win, if not that they are being affected by the absence of some major players in their team.

Barcelona are winning and look to see out the game, but their overall play has not been convincing at all. Struggling against teams like Almeria who are sitting at the bottom of the table means they will find it very difficult to make it to the quarter finals against Napoli in the champions league.
Remains to be seen if the squad is boosted during the January transfer window.

It is a pity that Barcelona struggled to beat Almeria who has not won any of their matches in La Liga this season, and Almeria even scored 2 goals against Barcelona yesterday. If Barcelona continues like this they will not qualify for the quarter-final of the Uefa Champions League.

Barcelona performance is going poorly these days because they lost almost 3 matches and now they manage to win Almeria, which even lucky Barcelona, who was one of the best teams in the competition at the start of the season, are now performing poorly, which is disappointing to me. However, I think they should double up their performance in order to reach another stage in the competition; they should even qualify for the quarterfinal.
 
However, I’m not sure they will be able to win Napoli with their current performance because Napoli are stronger than Almeria, which means if they continue like this, they definitely won’t win Napoli because Napoli's performance cannot be compared to Almeria's, so therefore we should wait to see how Barcelona will play in their next match. I hope they do better than what they are doing now.

Maye people have started to blame Barcelona for the close performance they had against Almería while they were even close to losing points in this match against a team like Almería which could have put Xavi under too much pressure, but Sergi Roberto the player of Barcelona had epic performed and again he saved his team, Almería tried to take a draw in this match for two times but Sergi Roberto scored the winning goal for his team two times.

So perhaps to an extent I was thinking that the match will surely end with draw until real Madrid was able score and win the match and now they have regain there first position, so if they keep up with there wining statistics they may likely win the trophy.

Far too early to say this as there are still 21! games to go. Real Madrid has so much experience and they can patiently play their game and wait for Girona to make mistakes. As you can see Girona is playing an almost perfect season and is Real Madrid close? That's the problem, Real Madrid doesn't make lots of mistakes. The pressure for Girona will remain high, but I think the objective to finish the season as a club from the top four is realistic. Maybe if they are still leading after 27 games or so, it is time to grab for the title.

There are still many games left for this season so there will be many surprises that may occur in the second half of the season. Real Madrid and Barcelona have dominated La Liga with or without competition from Girona, but we see that Girona's ability so far is still competent enough to compete with Real Madrid and Barcelona. Let's see how far Girona's consistency is and whether they can continue on their winning path or if they struggle when a number of their players suffer injuries in the second half of the season.

Maybe no coach expects this to happen, but if players are constantly forced to play then I'm sure they will get tired and cause problems. Real Madrid can overcome that because they have a much better and more complete squad depth compared to Girona, so if this happens then Girona will have a much more difficult time dealing with it compared to Real Madrid.

Just like I predicted to a draw for Girona vs Bentis in I e of the comments,  it's sad for Girona to have allowed bentis to come from behind in such manner and that is what we must likely see as a good point for real bentis because had it been that they were able to make the equalization goals when there still enough time,  I am sure real bentis could have won the match.

I don't know why Girona who is a more stronger club and team in this round become weak along the line because everyone expected a steady win for them but the reverse was the case and the outcome of the match have chucked everybody.

Vaquez gave solution for real madrid during the injury time. It's bad to see that nacho got a red card from unnecessary thing. Alaves played very solid against real madrid and madrid is now at the top of current standing after girona was getting draw against betis. Betis was a very strong club and it makes sense girona struggled to beat it. Draw seems the best result for girona right now. Glad to see madrid can still get three points even though it must go through very difficult game against alaves. Brahim diaz got several chances but he was still wasteful without making a proper execution.
Real madrid can have big gap as long as the girona will keep lose points caused by getting draw against its opponent. girona seems start to decline again after it was reaching the peak performance.
