Towards the minute of injury time, Real Madrid got a corner kick and yes, thanks to that moment, Lucas Vazquez made good use of a cross from Toni Kroos to score a goal and at the same time seal the victory for Real Madrid with a score of 0-1. Real Madrid must win because they know that Girona have just drawn against Betis and they cannot waste this opportunity to return to top position.

Though they're not in the top standings but they can boldly bragged about going undefeated against these top contenders for the La Liga titles. Sharing points with Real Madrid and Girona. Real Betis is exceptional this season because usually a team will win or lose in a row but Betis in five matches managed to get four draws in a row  and 1 win against Las Palmas, and in those five matches the score was 1-1 0-0, and 1-0, and made Betis the team with the most draws.
Girona failed to break Betis' consecutive draws result and most of these draws were obtained by Betis when playing at home.
This draw took Real Madrid to the top of the standings because they were superior in the number of goals and they secured victory against Alaves in injury time, so they almost got the same result as rivals Girona but a goal from Lucas Vazquez ensured the three points.

If this continues the same it would affect their chance to qualify for European tournaments really significantly. Because Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao are doing much better than them these days.

I appreciated their getting points from Real Madrid and Girona as those two are unstoppable this season. But still Betis would make use of some more improvement to win games more often.

Yeah the race is still on, but my question is Girona make it to the top again? Even though the have the same point with real Madrid, we all know that Madrid is one of the strongest team in Laliga this season and they are capable of holding that position to the end, Barcelona which I believe can stop them are really in mess too their performance is so weak to the extent that they are managing to even be in top three. Conclusion can not be draw at this moment because Girona still have opportunity to make it to the top if the can work more on their performance because Laliga is the only league they are playing on like Madrid that is involved in three competition so there is still hope for them.

Not by having the same points with Real Madrid but who is toping in the la Liga league table currently, because as it stand now Real Madrid have taken back the first position from Girona because they won their match to defeated Deportivo Alaves 0-1 in their home without allowed them to score a single goal from the match despite the red card one of their player got in the second half. I know that Girona is displaying well in this season but it will be difficult for them to win this la Liga league title, because Real Madrid and Barcelona are the two teams people are expecting to drag this title but Girona will definitely return back to 4th or 5th position for Real Madrid to maintain the first position till the end of the tournament. I don't think Real Madrid can well champions league title in this season but there is a confidence in this la Liga league competition that Real Madrid will win this la Liga league title this season.

It will really be good for Laliga if Girona win the league tittle this season. sometimes I get tired of seeing the two traditional teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid winning the league almost every year. Girona has brought another level of competition to the league. Yes I know that they are not the favorite to win but this is the kind of competition we want to continually see in the Laliga.

Apart from Barcelona and Real Madrid, the other teams in La Liga are not very strong. The Girona team is also not strong enough. However, the overall performance of the team is impressive due to the good chemistry between the players and good match strategy. However, personally I don't think this team can win the title. Barcelona and Real Madrid still seem to be my favorites to win the title. I will be happy if Madrid lose their next match and Barcelona win their next match. As a result, the title fight will become more crowded. If not, the Barcelona team will be knocked out of the title fight. Because Barcelona is now 7 points behind Madrid and Girona.

I just hope Barcelona should start having a good results soon, they should not lose another game before Girona or Madrid do. I will like a situation where three teams will be fighting for the trophy instead of two. If the league battle is left for Madrid and Girona alone, it won't be good as Madrid is going to over power Girona.

For Madrid and Girona, it was a disappointing game as the results didn't show class and level of their normal performances. Madrid barely earned a 1goal victory away from home to Alaves while Girona after trying hard to hold onto the he 1goal ahead win, Betis proves capacity and equalized, ending the game with a share of points. These two sides played away from home and are even at the top spots of the league table but their performance didn't speak so well of their position on the table.

 Everyone expected a 3point bagged with meaningful goal margin but they were short of one of the expectations at least. Advantageous for Madrid though, their win gave them a push to get to thesame level as Girona and it's an encouragement for them to press harder to finish it all at the top. For Girona, the draw wasn't so good for them, they've got extra work to do too. Definitely the new year fixtures would favor both teams.

As I said before Real Betis can be relied on when playing at home, when facing strong teams Real Betis can still get points but when playing away against weak teams they can't win. From my observations their main obstacle is the attacker the ability to score goals is very low imagine that in 18 matches Real Betis was only able to score 20 goals of course they couldn't compete this way I mean for a place in the European league. Anyway, I don't think Real Betis has any targets so far as you say, Athletic Bilbao and Sociedad look better they deserve more than a few spots there.

Any of you guys here saw the red card that Nacho got? When I see fouls like that I always think that the player should be suspended for at least as long as the foul could have caused the hurt player to be injured. If you see this foul, man I don't even want to think about the possible consequences and why the heck did Nacho decide to potentially end the career of his opponent? The rules need to be much harder and I would hope that Nacho gets at least 12 weeks suspension from all games across all competitions. What a nightmare is that foul and imagine the leg would have been broken above the ankle.

Lose is a lose. You will never win if you lose and i think that barcelona was losing against a garbage team and it doesn't even matter how many new players used by barcelona in that game. I meant if we must also accept the truth that if barcelona plays so badly in this game. As you can see that if xavi was just doing preparation for the when barcelona must sell a lot of its players to raise the funds to pay its debts. In fact, barcelona was not playing so well in the league as well.

Im not wanna complain about that. Xavi is trying to know which players that may be good to be included in the squad to anticipate the massive sells that is going to happen with barcelona. Im thinking that if xavi is just doing it caused by he has been also forcing by the club to do that.
As you can see that in the latest announcement about how barcelona must have prepared its club to face the difficult situation once barcelona cannot use its best squad aagin.

There will be numerous players to leave from the club. This is the only possible choice that can be done by xavi for barcelona. He needs to make sure the replacement for the key players can do what the main players can do too.

Real Betis is an interesting team. They manage to earn points in difficult matches, but the points they earn are not enough, they fail to win the match. They lost only 2 matches this season, we can say that this is a success. But they draw so many times that they are currently in 7th place, even though they should be right behind Barcelona.
The biggest problem is that the number of goals they score and the number of goals they concede are very close to each other. They score very few goals and that's why they can't win matches

This is something that cannot be avoided. On the one hand, I see this as an accident without any intention by Nacho to injure his opponent, but on the other hand, he must be scored over a long period of time so that in the future nothing like this happens again. so and the players can be safer in playing to protect their opponents.

Apart from that, I really saw a quite strong mentality from the Real Madrid team, even though they lost one player, they were able to score a goal at the end of the match to ensure victory, this is proof of the team's mentality which is quite strong and this victory made Real Madrid firmly at the top of the standings after Girona failed to win in their other match when they visited Real Betis headquarters.

if there is someone who says Real Madrid victory was just luck I'm sure that person is not a football fan who saw how Real Madrid performed against Alaves yesterday and it was not an easy match because in the 54th minute Nacho had to come off the field committing a foul and at that moment Real Madrid only competed with 10 players but in fact Toni Kroos took a corner kick and Lucas Vazquez intelligently headed the ball very precisely and got 1 winning score for Real Madrid.
from this performance we can judge how Real Madrid performance can survive and can secure victory with only 10 players and if this happens to another team it will definitely be difficult to survive they will definitely lose but Real Madrid with their excellent performance can produce 1 score in the final minute.
