Even though Atletico Madrid were able to take the lead even though they only played with 10 players. They were even able to lead 3 - 1 until the 69th minute. But unfortunately. they failed to maintain it. And unfortunately, they had to get back a goal from Getafe's final kick in the last minute. This match is almost over. and it seems that Atletico Madrid's chances of winning are getting smaller. It's very unfortunate. But what can I do, they are playing with 10 players. The coach should have been able to anticipate several things when they were leading at 3-1.
And the result of the full time match between Atletico Madrid vs Getafe is 3 - 3. This is quite a disappointing result for ATM.

Atletico Madrid were really unbalanced in their game in this match because the red card received by Savic made them unable to defend well when Getafe attacked. Maybe this result is quite fair for both teams because Atletico Madrid played with 10 players which means they have to accept the result of today's match by winning 1 point. Even though their strength is stronger, the opposing team is superior in number of player, so it will hinder them when the opponent starts to put pressure.

An additional 1 point makes Atletico Madrid stay in 3rd place in the standings but their points are the same as Barcelona. First place, namely Girona, is increasingly secure at the top of the standing because they only have one close rival, namely Real Madrid, while Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have a large difference in points with Girona.

Maybe disappointing for Atletico because they found 3-1 but when you look at the whole game this is justified. Getafe played better and deserved something out of this game. They had 29 shots, they tried everything to score. Atletico did what they could do after Savic was shown red card. It's hard to play with one less player for 50 minutes. Getafe found chances to win the game, it could've been 3-4 so Atletico shouldn't be sad about this score.
When Oscar Rodriguez entered the game Getafe played better, Borja Mayoral was pretty effective. Both teams did their best and showed us a good match. I think it's fair for them to get 1 point each.

I agree with you that Atletico madrid shouldn't regret a draw in this match because they could have lost if they couldn't break down several good chances that Getafe had. Griezmann did succeed in making the stadium roaring when he managed to break into Getafe goal, but that disappeared because Getafe was able to turn things around to a draw until the end of the match.

This is not the Atletico Madrid I know because alot have changed. What happen to the defensive strategy executed by Diego Simeone today? Atletico Madrid are gradually losing points and dropping from the key phases this season, however bouncing back have remain constant for Atletico Madrid, more reason for the fans to doubt their club's energy in matches and expectations will definitely cut shorten. Atletico Madrid vs Getafe ended in a dissapointing 3-3 draw. A game that's been declared Los Colchoneros as the winners, only for me to come back and watch and see thus surprising results.

Of course a red card can always greatly contribute to a defeat, but we are still talking about Atletico Madrid vs. Getafe and this is not to disrespect Getafe, but this game wasn't lost due to the red card. This game was lost because Atletico Madrid surprisingly messed up to play with the time during the final phase of the game. Everyone knows that this is one of the things that Atletico Madrid loves the most. Waste time, pretend to be injured, bring on new players, receive yellow cards for other shenanigans and now it was them who wasted a two goal advantage. Kind of hilarious.

Since the start of this season I have also seen that Atletico Madrid could indeed be a threat to other teams, especially to Girona who are currently at the top of the standings. But what I'm worried about right now is not Girona, but Barcelona, which might not be able to get third place when Atletico Madrid continues to consistently win matches in La Liga. As for Girona, I think that the team will continue to be great until the end of the season even though there is a possibility for Real Madrid to take over Girona's position this season.

This season, both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are not much different at all. If you say Atletico Madrid is better, then look at their statistics so far. Barcelona has only suffered 2 defeats in 17 matches, while Atletico Madrid has suffered 4 defeats. If Getafe is really able to make changes to today's match, then it is not impossible that Atletico Madrid will suffer 5 defeats.

I'm not worried about Barcelona even though I don't expect them to defend the title this season. Real Madrid is a team I expect to win the La Liga title after they failed last season, but this season is still very long and everything can still change.

I don't have lots of information about Atletico Madrid but I know Barcelona got many injured players during this season and this team is not in a good situation and you saw that in the last games we saw from Barcelona, while were expecting to see a good performance from this team like the last season but Barcelona totally ailed.
Now it seems their effective player, Pedri is injured and he can't play for his team for a long time. Xavi should give Pedri three weeks to get back in the good form and get recovered,

I know the pressure is on Girona because some fans would like to see them progress and some would like to see them fail, it will only be a pressure on Girona only if they let it get to them. Betis and Atletico Madrid can be the teams to make them fall out but I believe when the time comes they can even beat both teams while waiting for the return leg of Madrid and Barcelona, because to me I see Madrid and Barcelona as the only clubs to give Girona a though time.

I believe that with the present performance of both present competitors Bentis and Atletico Madrid and for sure Girona will have an advantage over both of them when next they face each other in the next leg,  when it comes to football we can't 100% give a club sure winning when the match has not been played because a lot can happen within the 90 minutes plus of the game.

But the problem for Girona is to be more intense when they face Real Madrid or Barcelona who are already the biggest clubs in the league and the top clubs to possibly win the league title for this season at sopointnts.

In as much as I want Girona to always stand tall against Madrid and Barcelona I still don't see these two teams as clubs that used to be that deadly in the Spanish league, Madrid don't have much of that experience as of last season and Barcelona are slowly losing form.

At the beginning of first half Atletico was performing well they even several times to threaten Getafe defensive lines but everything was change when Savić got red card because Savić is a defender player and losing him will greatly affect to the performance of Atletico although Simeone made a change with played César Azpilicueta as defender to replace Savić position i think it was late because Atletico have lost the rhythm of their game however this is Atletico postponed match but unfortunately they were failed to utilized this match to cut their difference points with Real Madrid

For other match after through an 10 matches without the winning results on Laliga finally Sevilla can able return to the winning ways after beat Granada with final scores 3-0 and this is debut match for Sevilla new manager Quique Sanchez Flores he was replace Sevilla previous manager Diego Alonso however Quique Sanchez Flores was train Getafe on 2015 and at that time he was successfully to save Getafe from relegation zone and this winning result is good start for Sevilla and probably he can do the same thing and save Sevilla from relegation zone too

This season, all the teams that have competed against Girona admit that Girona is a tough opponent. Even though Real Madrid was able to beat Girona in the previous match, Girona really made it difficult for Real Madrid to win. Meanwhile, there are only 3 teams who are able to prevent Girona from getting maximum points in 17 matches and only 1 of them is able to beat Girona.

This is one of the best seasons Girona has had in La Liga. They lead the standings with a 2 point advantage over Real Madrid and 9 points from Barcelona. This is the best way to prove that not all poor teams deserve to be underestimated in a competition, so that in the end Girona's performance deserves to lead the standings.

This means that the only team that has been able to beat Girona this season is only Real Madrid, while the other teams until now have not been able to and have only been able to draw so they share points.
We know Barcelona are a big and tough team but Girona being able to beat them is something of a big surprise especially now adrift of points away from Barcelona which I said it would be difficult to pursue.

It seems that this season will belong to Girona even if it doesn't miss until the end of the year, I don't know if after the half-season break there is no decline we don't know about that yet but I believe Girona can still maintain their performance.

I am really surprised to see how Girona I used to play in a gamble to lose is proven to be a serious La Liga title contender this season. If Girona beats Real Betis in Betis home, then I will say Real Madrid has a long way to go in winning the La Liga title this season.

for me, it seems like you can't just judge from the current point of view and Girona is just a mediocre team who is lucky to be having quite good performance because they are taking advantage of the busy situation of big teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona who are focused on the UCL while in the next few weeks the big teams this could focus more on La Liga and this means that Girona could be displaced because Girona does not have enough experience to be at the top of the standings in terms of strategy Girona will not be able to stay at the top of the standings for long.
we can see later what will happen, but what is certain is that currently Girona is only a challenger at the top of the standings and is not part of the candidates for the La Liga title.

in the upcoming match we will see how the position in the standings develops because Girona faces a team that will beat them. Real Betis is one of the teams that will break Girona in the upcoming match and I am very confident that Real Betis will be able to win with a narrow score and Girona will lose points in that match.

They might not have the experience but there's always a first time I must tell you, to be honest with you I think taking advantage of the fact that Barcelona and Real Madrid are busy with Champions League that's what's keeping their hope alive. You would have said this next season, let's say Girona some how won the league title, you'd agree with me that their form won't be the way we're seeing it now, because too many engagement would cloud them to the extend that fatigue would hit on them.
I don't see anything special about Betis as they go head to head against Girona, in that encounter I feel the league leaders would be victorious in that fixture. It is either a 1nil win, that's possible, yes the Betis side are stubborn but they won't cause any damage to the Girona, I tip the Girona to win in that game.
The other side are going to win talking about Barcelona and Real Madrid but if you feel Girona are the only team that's going to lose then you're mistaken on that prediction.

For almost three season, Atletico Madrid has experienced decline but is considered quite stable and consistent because they tend to almost have the same quality of performance in each season, but in the 2020/21 season Atletico Madrid managed to become La Liga champions.
Amazingly, they can always get stuck in 3rd place and this has been the case for several seasons.
But if you compare it with other teams like Real Madrid or Barcelona, it will look very different every time they dominate La Liga.

Agree that Barcelona is currently really experiencing some complicated problems due to players being injured and this means that Xavi has to really work hard in creating good team performance with the players they have.
Moreover, this season has been quite a tough season for Barcelona because they are far behind Girona, who is at the top of the standings, and Real Madrid, who is in second place.

Things can change very quickly with a small team like Girona and they are even a small club, not a big club like Arsenal. We witnessed how Arsenal fell down very quickly in last weeks of past season and lost Premier League title to Manchester City. Girona are playing well and they are making biggest surprise not only in Spain but also around all big leagues in Europe.

With their amazing adventure so far, they will not give up easily and will try with their best to win La Liga that already went to its 17th match day. There are only two more match days and the league will complete its first half. Girona has only 2 points more than Real Madrid and this small difference can become zero after any match day.

Things are becoming more interesting in La Liga as if Girona succeeded to do this after 17 match days, it's possible for them to prolong it more and I believe Real Madrid actually feel some pressure from Girona especially after they got a bad news from their key central defender Alaba.

There are still many games left for this season so there will be many surprises that may occur in the second half of the season. Real Madrid and Barcelona have dominated La Liga with or without competition from Girona, but we see that Girona's ability so far is still competent enough to compete with Real Madrid and Barcelona. Let's see how far Girona's consistency is and whether they can continue on their winning path or if they struggle when a number of their players suffer injuries in the second half of the season.

Maybe no coach expects this to happen, but if players are constantly forced to play then I'm sure they will get tired and cause problems. In the match between Atletico Madrid and Getafe I saw that Getafe's performance was very good and there was progress even though they didn't win and I think in the match Getafe were very great and appeared full of confidence. The penalty kicks taken by the two teams in that match make us believe that Getafe is currently performing well. But for Barcelona it looks like tomorrow will be a day where they can score lots of goals against Almeria, and I'm sure Lewandowsky will score lots of goals as and Joao Felix. and tomorrow's match in my opinion is a good match for Barcelona because if Barcelona wins tomorrow then Barcelona can take the position of Atletico Madrid. Atletico Madrid played against Almeria with a score of 2-1 for Atletico Madrid's win, but we won't know the result of Barcelona against Almeria tomorrow.

Yeah you are right Atletico Madrid played very well on the first half of the match until one of there players was issued the red card that was one of the reasons why they were having a serious challenge but although with there performance on the first half you will hardly no that they were playing with one man down because there performance was very impressive but however just like you said there challenges started from there second half because Getafe were able to identify there weak points so when they come back to the second half Getafe started hitting them from those side, but however I seriously commend on Atletico Madrid because it was because of there good performance on that match that made them to hold a draw with Getafe if not they would have lose the match.

Yes, Atletico Madrid started to lose balance when Atletico Madrid had to lose a player in the first half and they seemed to have difficulty facing the visiting team. But Atletico Madrid was able to create their first lead in the first half before halftime even though they were forced to play with 10 players.
After Getafe second half able to equalize in the 53rd minute and Atlettico Madrid seemed to start panicking and counterattacked and managed to create 2 goal opportunities which were created by Morata in the 63rd minute and Griezmann in the 69th minute. I thought this had sealed the victory for Atlettico Madrid but unfortunately Getafe could took advantage of the opportunity when Atletico Madrid started to let their guard down and Getafe was able to score a goal in the 87th minute and in the last minute of added time so that the match ended in a 3:3 draw.

No one expected it if Getafe will be able to hold Atlettico Madrid to a draw. This results is not what Atlettico Madrid expected, but at least they have fought as hard as possible even though they only played with 10 players since the middle of the first half.

Yes, Sevilla has started to regain confidence again after a series of bad results thanks to this victory against Granada. Sevilla is already ranked 13th, initially Sevilla was in a less safe position, now Sevilla just has to focus on the next match so that they can get the results they hope for again.
