Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Girona all had hard matches this round.
Barcelona had a draw with Almeria until the last minutes of the game when they were able to get the lead and win.
Atletico Madrid were leading with 2 goals difference until the last minutes of the match when Getafe surprised them with 2 goals and picked one point from them.
Girona scored since the first half and were confident to win until almost the end of the game but surprise! Real Betis did it and made them drop the first position to Real Madrid which also picked a victory in the extra time. I don't want to say they were lucky but it was a good thing when they were down to 10 men but still managed to score 1 goal and secure 3 points in a close match.
Madrid's dominance was evident in this match but they must have struggled when playing with 10 men after Nacho left, fortunately Vasquez, who was given the nod again after his injury, managed to break the deadlock for Madrid.
