Real Madrid is one of the most favorite team presently in La Liga. Their squad are strong enough to withstand other top clubs in the League. Also, from the current performance of theirs, Madrid are likely to win the La Liga title this season. Although, they have won a trophy already this season (Super cup).

Real Madrid are on good direction to win La Liga but the season has a lot of matches ahead and despite of current good gap with other teams, Real Madrid must manage their best form in rest of the season. They have good chance, good position to win La Liga but only if they won't lose too many points.

However, Madrid have the Copa del Rey quarter finals match against Athletic Club ahead. Is an away match for them, but the game will be quiet tough. Athletic Club won't want to lose the match, because they lost the Super cup to Madrid. But despite that, I think Real Madrid are

Real Maldrid could possibly have what it takes to win both their league title and the championships league but the reality is the have lots of matches ahead of them and the only way to achieve this is both to remain at the top of the league with the highest point and to remain unbeaten in the championships league. But we still have other big clubs playing to win the championship league

I would like to know what matches made you think that Barcelona are improving their level of play. In my opinion, they are degrading - returning to the outdated Tiki Taka strategy. With such a lineup of performers, this strategy is meaningless, plus it is 2022 now, most teams already know how to successfully counter it. As for transfers, yes, they will strengthen the team a little, but Atlético's squad is still better.

Well they won against alaves, tie against granada, beat linares, beat mallorca, tie against sevilla, beat elche, and tie against ossasuna. I do not remember which one of them was when Xavi got the job but that is the latest league games. Of course they had bad games too, like lose to bilbao, or lose to real madrid, all of that are valid but in the league they have been doing well and not losing so far.

Sure they are easy opponents most of the time (aside from sevilla) but they are still their opponents and they were losing to these levels of teams before all of this started. They were like 11th 10th or 9th, I do not remember which one was it, when Koeman was fired, and after Xavi got the job, now they are 5th, and could become 4th after this game, and they are one game behind betis, so if they win that too then they are third. From 9th+ or worse to having 2 game win streak possibility of 3rd is an improvement in my book.

Yeah, I do feel really sorry for Atletico. They've always been fighting to keep above water but a few key injuries and loss and form and their challenge is completely over. They probably know it too, and seeing them fight back in their last game just for a draw and the way Simeone celebrated, you feel kinda bad for them.

Both teams look like they will strengthen after January buys though, so let's see if Xavi or Simeone makes a real difference.
