I'm really surprised to see that Real Madrid have been eliminated from the Copa del Rey now. Last night, Athletic Bilbao showed a greater performance than Real Madrid in this match and I believe that they deserved to win this. And just as I expected, we had a really competitive match. Athletic Bilbao finally scored the winning goal in the 89th minute and this really devastated Real Madrid. Benzema wasn't able to play due to injury and they felt his absence here a lot. Athletic Bilbao had their revenge also after the Super Cup finale.

Kudos to Athletic Bilbao. Their journey in the Copa del Rey has not been easy, but they managed to make 2 surprises by eliminating Barcelona and Real Madrid. Actually, it was Real Madrid who dominated the game but they seem to have a hard time breaking through Bilbao's defenses. Maybe this is a bit affected by the absence of Benzema but a team like Real Madrid should have a solution for that.

Athletic has already become a Copa del Rey hero after knocking out both Barcelona and Real Madrid (and an anti-hero for betters   ). It will be a shame if any other club wins the cup in the end, and most likely it will happen. Unfortunately, reality is far from fair. Betis surprised yesterday - a major victory over a very strong opponent. Still, the fact that they now occupy the third line is not a coincidence.

It was very unexpected for Athletic Bilbao to kill the two Spanish League giants because before stopping Real Madrid with a 1-0 score, Athletic Bilbao also beat Barcelona with a 3-2 score.
Real Betis vs Real Sociedad won big 4-0 and as I said before Betis played with a compact team and usually a compact team player and good teamwork will easily beat a team that relies on a goalscorer.

Barcelona needs a striker.  If we look at this transfer from an economic point of view, Xavi cannot say no to Aubameyang, who came free of charge.  In fact, Aguero has been a problem for Barcelona.  If he had kept playing, Barcelona might not need a striker.  But right now they clearly need a striker.  I really wonder if Aubameyang will be able to succeed.

Signing Aubameyang is good for Barcelona as they have one quality striker without spending any big amount and without any doubt he is a quality striker but due to his off field behaviour Arteta skip him and allow transferring, so now it's time for him to do some better for staying here for long time because it's also his desired club where he was looking for playing for very long time.

Recently Barcelona has the worst time due to lack of some quality striker and internal issues but after arrival of Xavi now things are turning into positive for them, and they are achieving good spot in La Liga as well now after few days they have the biggest challenge in face of Atlético Madrid if they win this challenge then surely they are going to enjoy some good in this league and have positive change in their camp.

I'm down for Barcelona henceforth, I see them as winner's of the Europa league with their current players and depth they have.
Having players amongst themselves that has understanding from other clubs, a good example is between Aubameyang and Ousman dembele, they have got a great pair at Dortmund and same will be here.

I have placed my bets on them to win although I got to accumulate with some other games, I'm not scared since benzema will play they have a good chance to win and score more than two goals.
Getefe has got loads of work to do, so as not to get down into the relegation zones....they have the best odds to win but the games seems like a draw.

I predict the Copa del Rey cup this season will be brought home by Athletic, after beating Barcelona, they also managed to beat Madrid

Like they said in upper comments, Bilbao its one of a kind in this tournament they are on eof the most sucefull teams in competition they have 23 tittles and 16 second position, this is a overall of 39 finals played , only surprased by the Barcelona, so dont take easy on Bilbao.
I know most of your can say yes but mmost of the titles was in the past, and that its true but if you see they allways stay in the final stages in this competition and i say more dont forget they dont buy players outside the Basque Country so this its much more  heroic.

Yes, 2 giant teams were defeated by Atletico Bilbao, Barcelona in the last 16 with a score of 3-2, and now Real Madrid in the quarter-finals with a score of 1-0. Although I don't think Real Madrid really set a goal of winning this tournament (Copa del Rey). But still this is an extraordinary achievement for Atletico Bilbao, especially they have won 23 titles and 16 runners-up times throughout the Copa del Rey.

A good improvement was made by Marcelino García, taking advantage of the Real Madrid situation, which was in quite a vulnerable condition and easy to get rid of. Athletic did the impossible, but nonetheless, of the four remaining teams, I would not say that they are favorites. I think the first contender for the cup is Betis, then Valencia and only then Athletic. Rayo Valekano is also a strong team (at least compared to these three) but in my opinion they are the underdog here, in the semi-finals Betis should easily beat them.

I think they should've at least buy one or two because some of their defenders are not worthy of playing in barcelona like lenglet not to mention that alves is a bit old and it will be difficult for him to keep such a high performance all season i think aubameyang can fit in barcelona he was really standing out when arsenal used to play short passes exactly like barcelona play style.
