Thanks for the FAQ. Item 8 resolved my issue. It's a nice feature that you can recover from a seed, meaning this is basically a deterministic wallet.

I assume this is on the "to fix" list? Is the wallet file getting corrupted somehow?

It is not a clone, at least not a clone of the recent code. The code is obfuscated (probably proguard?) and I don't have time to dig further, but seems to be using a lot of third party libraries that we [Nxt] don't use. Uses jetty, and json-simple, but also jackson and mapdb, no H2.

The developer has definitely borrowed ideas from Nxt, but probably not much from the current implementation.

As for the speculations that it may be BCNext himself - not his style, remember the original Nxt code did not use any other libraries (even the jetty dependency was added later by CfB) and was a single file. It is more likely a good java developer who started from the original Nxt 0.4.x code like I did, but then continued his own way into a completely different implementation. But all this may have been intentional, to confuse people - so the conspiracy theories will keep going on.

So basically I believe we are looking at a vert smart developer who is achieving something teams messing around with clones have yet to do or as I'm starting to believe it really is BCNext. the evidence is starting to give a strong case. So when Qora says no other crypto currency was used then I think he either looked at ideas of NXT but I think he is BCNext and is just developing the ideas that were his in the first place. You have to admit the evidence at least supports that idea.

Integrating Jetty makes sense in terms of someone who worked alongside NXT project leaders like COme from beyond and took some of people's good ideas and put them into practice, the use of Jetty therefore is not proof that it is not BCNexts current style. Actually it argues potentially for it being his style now.

Maybe this isn't BCNexts second project, maybe he really just felt like Qora mentioned that NXT was not done right with too much talking and he wanted to try doing NXT again the way he wanted. That isn't quite as exciting as it being his next project but it does throw up another idea. That we should look at Qora as NXT done in the way BCNext always wanted it to be done. Which puts NXT in the garbage can. No wonder he wouldn't want to be known as him.

qora is just in the beginning of its way but i have a good feeling that’s its going to be just as big if not more.

This is my honest opinion about NXT. I was very excited with NXT at the beginning especially the idea of asset exchange as I love to trade. But I felt like so many developers got involved with so many wallets and tech talk it started to seem pretty dull. I looked at the asset exchange a few times and I just didn't have the desire to bother with it. I'm not trashing the hard work done on it, but I wonder if my feelings are rare or what many others felt in the end?

pLus I'm annoyed as I sent half my NXT to DGEX the other day and they seem to of been lost!!!so I may be being a bit negative at the moment about NXT

So far all my Qora transactions have gone through without a hitch.

For me the crunch time for Qora will be if it can set up an Asset exchange that makes me want to actually use it. I'm more than positive about that so far and am hopeful as Qora shares my opinion that everything must be user friendly..

The bitcoin source was released, inspected by people with the know how and no major flaw found - hence BTC is relatively stable and I have trust in it. I trust that it isn't a cheap badly written piece of crap that will get ditched and leave every investor with nothing.

Nxt follows in Bitcoin footsteps. Bitcoin wasn't open source from Day 1. Care to beat this argument?

It's funny but 99% of the "crap" that is being said about qora was said about nxt also.
In my opinion this is an indicator qora will be a great success!

Wait for Overstock.com asset on NXT AE, you'll be rewarded for all that stuff you don't like  
Also alias trading is on its way, Wesleyh said the next client update will already have it.
At the moment NXT is the most advanced cryptocurrency on the market.

The other hand Qora has a huge potantial and from how it's started I'm sure it'll overcome Nxt someday. We're all just need to keep up doing the best we can.

Also one more question. How complicated it is to build a multipool for Qora? If it's not too complicated, I'd design it, pay a couple of btc to developer and launch our own multipool. Not sure if we even need someone outside the community to do it.
