Once development has progressed, how will QORA be different from NXT?

The better question is why would it be the same?

Dont confuse some overlap of functions as making it the same as NXT. Qora sends digital currency around, so does Bitcoin, does that make it the same as Bitcoin?

Your response is a complete non response.

Let's break it down in simple terms. If Qora doesn't offer any advantages or unique features it won't be like NXT. It'll be like NXT lite.

Why would anyone even bother to answer someone with Activity = 3. If he's too lazy to read before post he doesn't deserve any answer.

Hi, guys. That does not sound very open-minded to me. Activity means nothing.

Why do you think he did not read your post?

Coz if he'd read, he wouldn't ask stupid qustions.

I see no question above. Just a statement.

Ok, if he'd read, he wouldn't make stupid statements.

I think if you can help qora to make a client, you can ask for a bounty.

Yes....
Can you tell us what is the problem, your coin is on sharexcoin?

These are standard bootstrap 3 GUIs.
NXT used one... We can use one that can look different.
Go ahead a choose one if you like and post it here. I personally lost 50,000,000 Qora.
Should I now be motivated to create a front end?

Why don't we get that Zip guy he makes really nice looking stuff.

Is no one else concerned that out of the blue a newbie posts the screen shot of the GUI and straight after the guy who did it suggests again he could do it. And lost 50m coins on Sharexcoin? Seems a lot I thought only 70-100m went missing? If I beleived everyone who claimed to have Qora on there we would have a few billion.

Plus it all looks like Sharexcoin! I get that its just a style but still be kind of discouraged the guy a long while back then he pops up preceded by some newbie post. I'm suspicious by nature but come on. He is talking about developing backends of wallets. Someone smart with style set up Sharexcoin thats all I know.

I think gorillajam's answer does not answer his question to his complete satisfaction. Then, what happened, was that he dismissed the answer of gorillajam and stated the implication of the situation which in his point of view is the most logical one.

However, the point remains: why do you consider Qora superior to Nxt? (I remember you answering this question to me privately already. Is there anything new?)

And i'll do what I did with him and turned the question back at him, but he didn't want to hear the answer.

Why do you consider NXT to be superior to Qora? I mean if it does the same thing. Prove to me how NXT works better than Qora.

New code, New code New code! I made clear just focusing on function is not the point.

Hello

I have just downloaded the wallet, got a seed and grabbed my address.
I have then went to faucet, added one new address that i have created and the faucet reported that it has send the coins.
But unfortunately my wallet has no connections.
I went into settings file and the known seeds are the below.

Code:
knownpeers 146.185.141.232;162.243.170.76;42.159.153.145;193.242.149.63;88.198.69.99;85.21.237.35;193.242.149.63;113.250.226.131

Can you please advice how should i get my wallet connected?
Is there any other actions needed to be made by my side?

Many thanks in advance

In my point of view, there was Nxt and it claimed some features to have. And it does have them now. After some time, there was Qora claiming to have the same features. Well, I do not dig deeper on the details but they sound equal to me and that is what mattered to me.

So, this is the way I consider the situation. There is no need for such a word like superior.

Thanks agran

Unfortunately didn't worked.
I went into a second machine, make a new instance of qoracoin wallet (with the default knownpeers) and successfully retrieved my wallet addresses with the seed i had.Now is "Oke".

The differences between those two machines are :
The one that didn't worked is Win7 x 64 bit
The one that worked is Win 7 x 32 bit

By the way the faucet coins are now appeared into one address (the address i made the request to receive them).

Is there any other things that i need to look into my 64bit machine in order to connect into a peer ?

Could you check if the TCP port 9084 is not blocked by your firewall.
Running 2 instances behind the same IP has some problems.

That seems like a useful client feature: have account unlocked for forging purposes, but require password verification for any transactions.

qora: what are your thoughts and plans for the client (UI part)? Do you intend to continue developing the current one, or support a community-developed web client that interacts with the core qora server via the API?
