Try adding this parameter to your command line: --difficulty-multiplier 0.0039062500 If the problem still persists - please switch to my pool (grs.cryptohunger.com) and I'll try to see if I can help by looking at my logs.

seems a few of those AMD 280x settings are alittle off. i dont see how a 280x does 7.7Mhs. all 3 of mine cant get past 7mhs. where as my 6950 does 8mhs lol. not to mention why is the difficulty bouncing around so much.

ghostman9559 & Ratters - have you tried changing pools? Also, do you use the groestl kernel for sgminer? I believe a good miner friend also had this problem, while on suprnova. We came to this conclusion last night.

I think the problem is with my understanding of SGminer!
Im fine with CGminer and expected this to be as easy, please could someone post a .bat for GPU.
I have no idea how to set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
When i add it to .bat SGminer crashes.

I have tried three different pools, changing the default settings to the pools specified settings (--groestlcoin instead of -k) I've gone through .bats trying to find out if I could change anything out, and get it to work that way. The --difficulty-multiplier 0.0039062500 say unrecognized option.I've tried your pool, and still no luck. I'm really not sure about the "groestl kernel" I have a kernel folder in sph-sgminer-groestlcoin folder if that makes any difference at all.

We need a simple .bat posted to get us started and we can tweek it from there.

OK guys, here you go: My fixed fanspeed .bat sounds like: set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
D:\Mining\gpu-DwarfPool-grs\sgminer.exe -k groestlcoin -o stratum+tcp://cryptohunger.com:3333 -u <username> -p <pass> --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://grs.suprnova.cc:5544 -u <username> -p <pass> --gpu-fan 90 --no-submit-stale -I 20 --gpu-engine 1200,1200,825,825 --gpu-memclock 800,800,500,500 , while my --autofan .bat is: set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
D:\Mining\gpu-DwarfPool-grs\sgminer.exe -k groestlcoin -o stratum+tcp://cryptohunger.com:3333 -u <username> -p <pass> -o stratum+tcp://grs.suprnova.cc:5544 -u <username> -p <pass> --auto-fan --temp-target 70 --no-submit-stale -I 20 --gpu-engine 1200,1200,825,825 --gpu-memclock 800,800,500,500 , which is about the same I use the autofan one when I'm in the room and don't want a constant racket, as my GPUs are quite noisy. I mine w/ 2 7970s and a 5970, hence the different clocks. Sincerely hope it helps!

It's simple. If your sgminer says unrecognized option, the it is not the latest version. You can get compiled versions from here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0It has some command lines too

I guess I should have qualified my comments... those who have a bunch of 7970 cards that they paid $700+ for will consider them unprofitable... that can still mine, but will have much less hope of making back the investment in all likely hood. The newer cards, even the ATI cards can still work... I probably painted with too wide of a brush with the first comment and no explanation. But thats the nice thing about GRS, it works really well with old cards! I'm mining with 5870s (~6500 KH/s) and 5970s (~12500 KH/s). They are super energy-efficient if you undervolt them. Best of all, 5870s go for about 70-80 € on ebay (in Germany), and I recently snagged two 5970s for 100 € each. Very low investment cost, and I'm pretty sure I can even get 50-70% of the money back if I sell the cards in half a year or so.
