Dear yvg1900

pls accept my apologies for the delay in this matter. After a little confusion over the BOUNTY Im happy to award you the +33k% BOUNTY for cpumining.

Pls provide me an address to send your bounty.

You can and should verify this yourself, but yvg's address is in the YAM readme:

GRS: FpHaQNJ2nMUc2kgBbzYue13E9VUfL8YbQp

You can verify this via yvg's twitter account with the yam download link:

https://twitter.com/yvg1900/status/459641620842151936

and extracting it and looking towards the end of readme.txt.

Can someone help me with the settings for groestlcoin  in Sph Miner ?

 sgminer -K groestlcoin -o stratum+tcp://grs.suprnova.cc:5544 -u coerdy.coerdy -p urbancoerdy --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-memclock 1500 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 --intensity 13 -w 256

But i don't get any accepted shares ..

1. pls make sure u download the correct version from here
http://www.groestlcoin.org/pools/

2. make sure you run:
Quote
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

in ur .BAT or from Command Prompt b4 executing miner.
If in . bat it should read:
Quote
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
 path_to_folder/.sgminer -k groestlcoin -o stratum+tcp://grs.suprnova.cc:5544 -u coerdy.coerdy -p urbancoerdy --gpu-engine 1150 --gpu-memclock 1000 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 --intensity 13 -w 256

note: u used a capital K in ur conf, usually small

3. Im guessing ur on a 7970 by the looks of your settings. u can prob push core to 1125/1150 and reduce memclock to 1000. Intensity might be stuck at 13 depending on model. Some 7970 can go -I 20.

I think you get many rejects with that settings ..

If i just use mine i don't get as much rejects as your settings ..

1. If this is an attempt to raise awareness of the Groestl algo you've clearly posted in the wrong thread!

2. Since raising awareness of Groestl is in our mutual interest, since I had a similar comp idea myself and since it is clearly more fitting for Groestlcoin I've suggested to you PR man (who contacted me) we re-announce this comp on this site in both our names (Ill award BOUNTIES in GRS)

3. Allow me to politely disabuse you of any notion you might have about luring GRS miners to DMD, just in case that is what you seek. This will not happen and your efforts will be in vain. We are, after all, different creatures.

trusting your motives are in our mutual interest,
with respect,

CH

u welcome to join our groestl contest!

Hey Community!

we’ve cooked something for you … a cooking competition… yes, it’s not a joke.

Waiting patiently for the upcoming great changes to Diamond Coin can be strenuous and very taxing on our body. Constant checking for latest updates on Twitter, Facebook and the community forum is no joy if we feel hungry.

What’s even worse, our energy levels fall dramatically when we start thinking about Grøstl algorithm.

That hard to pronounce marvel of cryptographic technology, which is going to revolutionise the way people mine coins, can still be a mystery to most people. We decided to break the wall of uncertainty as we found the way to show you how good Grøslt is.

It’s still some time before you will be able to put your mining gear on it, but for now you have an opportunity to smell it, feel it and taste it.

Follow this simple recipe to taste the future and if successful scoop the prize for the best looking Grøstl dish:
Quote
Groestl/Gröslt/Grøstl

The roots of this dish date back to the early days of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. From the German “rösten”, which means to roast, the dish was created to recycle leftover meat without sacrificing taste.

Ingredients
leftover boiled or roast pork/beef
2 or 3 mountain potatoes
1 large onion
butter/lard
salt and pepper to taste
1 egg

Preparation
Peel the potatoes and boil them in lightly salted water. When they’re soft and cooked just right (be sure not to overcook), let them cool and cut them into slices.
In an iron pan greased with butter/lard, fry the sliced onion and add the slices of potato.
Simmer the vegetables together and regularly break apart the slices of well-browned potato with a wooden spoon.
Add the sliced meat leftovers and cook for a few minutes together with the other ingredients. Add salt, pepper or other spices (marjoram, parsley, chives, savory, thyme, caraway seed) as needed.

The above is provided as a guide only, you can choose your own method. You can browse Google for inspiration.

Rules of the competition:

1. Make a dish.

2. Take a photo of it with your nickname written on a piece of paper.

3. Enjoy your meal.

4. Submit the photo to the Diamond community forum through the external image hosting service.

5. Wait for the results and if successful win the prize of 10 DMDs.

* Competition starts on Monday 28th April midnight and finishes on Friday 2nd May 12PM GMT.

Please remember, the way you present your dish is important. To increase your chances of winning avoid taking pictures in poorly light places. Think of the layout and colours. Adding a fried egg on top without sacrificing the general look will give you more points for difficulty.

NOTICE for those on a diet. This is a high calorie dish which for sure will give you massive energy kick and possibly add a few millimeters in your thighs or abdominal area. Consume in moderation and treat it as a treat Smiley

To avoid funny Google Images business, we require you writing your nickname on a piece of paper next to the dish so we know it’s legit. Smiley

---

I’m not taking part in the competition as I’ll be in the jury and don’t want to cause a conflict of interest, but here’s my take on it:

There’s certainly a room for improvement but believe me, if it smells, feels and tastes like it does.. that hash function is a winner. Smiley

DO NOT POST YOUR ENTRIES IN THIS THREAD, THEY WILL BE REJECTED (REGISTERING ON THE COMMUNITY FORUM TAKES SECONDS - if you're not a bot possibly longer) SO NO EXCUSES

given the high fluctuation of mining difficulty and price your maths is redundant here.

Im not about to get out a mining calc and start arguing with u over this, particularly as I already spent time helping you sync your wallet today.

Sufficed to say, you will find Groestlcoin much more profitable than Cinnicoin …

happy mining! Cheesy
