Nice did well to win the three points. PSG didn't need to take any chances in this match because they will soon be playing Real Madrid. It's okay that they lost today. They need to concentrate on winning in Madrid. Winning the last match is no guarantee of going ahead.

Well PSG wanted to win this match,they went with the best team they had currently on paper. But again PSG losing in ligue 1 and im not surprised. I mentioned in this thread earlier today that i wouldnt be surprised if Nice wins. Nice needed this win badly to keep that second place and this win for them is huge

this lost match for PSG shows how they lack motivation in ligue 1 compared to other competitions like CL, this team beats Real Madrid who are doing amazing in La Liga and dominate the match, after that with few days plays and loses against Nice, I am not saying they're a bad team but we all know Real Madrid are better, winning the ligue 1 this early definitely makes it boring for them and spectators.

The strategy adopted by most Ligue 1 teams is marking man where several players are placed to keep the opposing players tight so they don't qualify. In the Nice vs PSG match yesterday I saw this strategy adopted and used to make Messi unable to move freely where there are 3 to 4 players who are always ready to stop movement and acceleration on the field. In addition, the tackle or the strategy of dropping the opponent while dribbling the Nice coach also applied to Messi which made it difficult for Messi to control the ball longer at his feet.

Maybe it's true that Messi is not too happy playing at PSG because he is not the main star there. In addition, not all PSG players have the same qualities and understand what Messi wants, which makes it difficult for Messi to adapt well at PSG. The number of goals Messi has scored in Ligue 1 is meager, this is another proof why he is not developing or adapting well to other PSG players. Maybe it is not very good to see PSG losing this week but I'm happy as my bet has won.    Firstly, I thought of betting on Nice to win. But after that, I changed it to their double chance. And thankfully, I didn't have much problem on winning. Nice showed a really great performance against PSG and didn't even let them have too many goal opportunities. This 1-0 win helped them secure the second position for this week too. And they will hope to see Marseille losing points against Monaco today. Whatever the result of it is, the fight for the second position seems to be really great.

Today was a good day for saint etienne and troyes they both won against two of their relegation contenders teams bordeaux and metz things are not looking good for these teams they are not able to win games i think with today score their chances are slim to stay in the ligue 1.

Few weeks back Saint-Étienne were the worst team in French League but suddenly change of things giving good results to them, and they are out of relegation zone even it's still not safe zone for them as they have some tough matches in coming weeks which is not good for them but good thing all relegation zone teams having not good enough gape in points which can give them some interesting competition until end of this season.

Still, few teams are doing good after having very bad start, and they are trying their best for staying into good hunt for better spots in league table because it's near end of this season which need some improvement currently just PSG is having safe zone all other teams are still doing good work for their spot.

Quite a thrilling match and I lost my money back on the gamble.
Bad week for me to lose some of the bets I made including this one.
Statistically they are very superior in every way but I think they lost Concentration in the last minute which forced them to take the ball out of their net.
Although it doesn't change anything for PSG but it's a good thing for Nice

It's a typical result, when you don't get enough with draw and find winning goal you may concede in last minutes. PSG tried to win the game but failed. If they were okay with a draw then they couldn't concede a goal. In the end nothing change except point difference. PSG is still far ahead of other teams and feel no pressure. Congrats to Nice, they played better and showed how important to play at home.

That's right, the first 15 minutes of the match and 15 minutes before the end are one of the most crucial things in the match because usually many players are prone to losing concentration there and this happened at PSG in this match.
They dominated from the start but then a small mistake in the last minute made it quite fatal for them.

But on the other hand as you said, Nice were really good in this match and of course it will be a confidence boost for them in the games to come.

And I also don’t see an argument in justifying PSG with the fact that Mbappe did not play - the composition of PSG is such that they are stronger than any team in France even without Mbappe. What happens in my opinion is the following:

in france, PSG doesn't have a strong opponent, this makes the players unmotivated, an example of messi, in the league he doesn't have a player to say he's going to compete with him when he goes to play, he's at PSG where he has best players and in other league 1 teams there are no great players to be messi's rivals, in PSG messi ao e heroi, there are so many players that messi became more of a simple player, it was different when he was in barcelona that he had to compete with good players from real madrid and spain small teams are strong, different from france where PSG is as if it were invincible

You were right! Except that PSG will play with a reserve squad - only Mbappe was absent (due to suspension). Nice had fewer days to rest but they were able to overcome PSG in an aggressive style, personally I was very surprised - I thought the PSG players would be motivated, among other things, by the absence of Mbappe to show that they can do something without him, but in the end it turned out that they can not. An unpleasant result ahead of the Champions League game, but perhaps it will allow PSG to more soberly assess their chances against Real Madrid.

Surely Marseille were looking for win in this game against Monaco but sadly right now we are in 77th minute, and they are trailing by one goal which is not good signal for them now we are heading for end of this season, and they are losing crucial points at vital stage Nice is currently at second spot with 13 points gape from leaders which is inaccessible for them and today's match was very important for them after having lost at home against Clermont and draw against Troyes.

After looking current situation most chances they will have no good result and some more of points this is good win for Monaco even it's not going to have any big impact on their league position but still good for positive end and staying in middle of league table.

I think neither of Nice and OM were trying to catch and reach PSG, both of them are focusing on the 2nd spot which guarantees direct qualification to the champions league unlike the 3rd spot, everyone knows how almost impossible it to catch up with psg now, but it was a disappointing loss for Marseille they could've at least gotten a draw, but there is still more matches to come, in the next round Nice will face Montpellier which is a very difficult match for them and then they're going to face OM in velodrome, for me Marseille are the favourites to finnish second.

They still have a chance to move to second or third place in the table if Monaco can maintain their momentum. Monaco is 8 points behind Nice in second place in the table. It will not be difficult to reduce the gap of 8 points in Ligue 1. Because no teams can continue to win here. So even if Monaco's position in the points table does not change after the victory over Marseille, they will be able to move to the top of the table if they can continue their winning streak in the next 3/4 matches.

Totally agree here. Simple luck is when the result does not match the gameplay and we can see that since beating Real Madrid in Champions League 2 weeks ago, PSG have completely dropped off in performance.

Dominating in the UCL game in shots and chances, with zero saves to make from Donnarumma, to now conceding MORE shots and MORE chances than they created, you have to accept that the Parisians seem to be dropping off in performance.

As you said though, it could be just them saving everything up to guarantee their qualification. I never understand teams that do this however. Mentality is a habit, not something to switch off and on.

It is a big difference and safe enough for PSG to relax a little bit. They have more important task in Champions League with Real Madrid are waiting in Bernabeu. PSG won in the first leg with a superb late goal from Mbappe but Real Madrid will be more attacking aggressively and more dangerously in the second leg. Especially the second leg match will be hold at Bernabeu, their home stadium.

Ligue 1 is almost reserved for PSG with that difference and it will be a very big shock if PSG can not win it.

PSG won a negative result in week 27, but Pachetino responded casually without showing the slightest anger, maybe losing an mbappe player resulted in PSG's sharpness a bit, but with a defeat in week 27 it will not affect PSG's mentality to deal with it. Real Madrid in the second leg later, because the focus of PSG now is to win the title, because in the domestic league PSG will not be able to be chased by anyone anymore..
