The Lyon vs PSG match was quite fierce, PSG's dominance did not necessarily make them score many goals even though Mbappe and several other players had several chances to score. PSG played quite well but they failed to score on several occasions, this is also inseparable from Lyon's good defense during the match.

In the last 5 match PSG was only able to win 1 time and the rest drew 4 times. They have dropped enough points so far to leave them just 11 points adrift of their rivals in the standings. In my opinion PSG are still quite safe in the table, but if their performance does not improve then it is not impossible that competitors will continue to approach without them realizing it.

Even though PSG was actually the favorite team in that match, Lyon was very good. Look at the statistics of this match, even though PSG have high possession, Lyon managed to create a lot of shots on goal. Lyon managed to force PSG to a draw in that match, but the result did not affect PSG too much, who still lead the standings with an 11-point advantage. Losing some players due to injury or covid issues shouldn't be a proper reason for PSG's failure in the match because I think PSG were just unlucky to score.

He is playing too fast compared to a Premier leaugue team, we don't even know if they are focused or not so much there are missed actions that a P.L player will not miss. Good pressing but too much pressing for nothing, you have to be average for more experience PSG should play medium defensive pressing. Their attack is sorely lacking in speed and impact.

Lyon played well enough. I was not surprised if they had managed to win this match. PSG attacked more though. But they could not make any strong attack. They have strategic problems. Pocettino has long been the team's coach. But he has not yet been able to stabilize the team. Rumor has it that Zidane may take over PSG. I hope Zidane coaches PSG and their overall gameplay will improve. They will actually become a stronger team.

Very true, it is perhaps one of the reasons i'm not so much of a big fan even though i know he is a very good player. It even showed in the visiting game with Olympique lyon where they(PSG) should have come out with a win getting all three points had Mbappe not tried to do it on his own a couple of times with some goal scoring opportunities. He is lucky they didn't loose all three points in the game and that they are top of the league with eleven points, else he would have been at the receiving end of blames.

I think that PSG's position in the league was also effective in those decisions made by Mbappe in the match.  If the point difference was 2-3, I think Mbappe would not have acted so selfishly.  Also, when it comes to the possibility of transferring from PSG, maybe he wants to show his individual talents for this reason.  If he transfers to Real Madrid, I'm sure he will be more careful there.

Still, even though the points are far away but with 5 matches it is bad if you win 1 time, I doubt Pochettino can be maintained if his performances continue to be bad, in the Champions League it is also still in doubt if the game is like this and they should be able to balance the game with current PSG squad.
I think PSG's back line is still weak, many conceded and for the front line there are many opportunities, but goals are rare, especially Mbappe who has so many chances in front of goal.

I was so confident with Lyon to win that game especially after they hold it till the first half then decided to bet on that there will be no 2nd goal in this game. Playing at home, lyon appeared quite aggressive and even full of confidence against a team full of stars like PSG, even I think PSG was very lucky not to be humiliated in that match by lyon who managed to score a quick goal in the seventh minute, I don't know maybe PSG are now it's quite comfortable being at the top so it seems they really don't have motivation in that match, even I saw Pochettino make 3 substitutions at once in that match, so this shows that he is quite frustrated seeing his team struggling to score goals, if PSG play like in the match it will certainly be very difficult for PSG to beat Madrid in the champions league, I think right now even though PSG are at the top of the French league standings but Pochettino must really be able to change PSG game tactics when facing opponents who have a balanced composition of the squad line betwen attack and defend.

The draw they got against lyon of course didn't really affect their position as the current leader of the ligue 1 standings, but by spending a lot of money to get star players wouldn't it be a embarrassing if they only achieved a draw against the teams in under the top 10?
If you look at their dominance so far, maybe without messi and mbappe they will still be able to win ligue 1 easily, but I think PSG this season is more targeting the champions league trophy to take home and that's why they are willing to spend quite a lot of money on players great players, but if only with lyon they can get a draw, I am starting to doubt if later they can face teams from outside france.

PSG won't have much challenge from other clubs in France so they will take the trophy in this season as same as they usually do in last 10 seasons, except the last season.

I agree that they can not bring this attitude to Champions League because it is a different one that is more competitive and is not a boring league. In knock-out phases, any mistake in any match will be probably sacrificed. At top levels, it will be suicide and almost no opportunity to fix.

PSG have not too good ability to protect results against strong attacking system. Their defense system must be improved by both defenders and defensive mid-fielders.

Nothing wrong in that match from PSG side. They did it well and only did not have support from luck to score a winning goal. Recent matches, PSG rely too much on performance and goals of Mbappe. In long run it is not good for them and I hope Messi will return to share this burden with Mbappe. Neymar as well. He is back to training but it seems PSG fans don't welcome him after his bad behaviour in his vacation to Brazil after his injury.

Hope PSG wins the match against Brest on 16th Jan. PSG needs to tune themselves to win the upcoming match against Brest. PSG recent matches are not much satisfying as they just own only one match and drew up 4 matches out of 5 though they are being 1 on the table. But if you look at Brest's recent matches,they have own 2 matches out of 5. Lets see who i challenged.
