Indeed a bad final result but looking to the next team that Bordeaux will face, Monaco, then I could say getting out of the relegation zone soon won't be obvious.
They will face PSG and Montpellier next month, Lille and Lyon in April, Nice in May. From 14 games, I am pretty sure they will struggle in these ones without saying that the others are easier of course. Well they need more than a good luck imo.

With the power of the player that exists today, PSG look very convincing to win the first leg. PSG are currently in first place in the French league. They look very comfortable with a position of 13 points ahead. It's very difficult to catch up with that point difference. They are not like Madrid who only have a very narrow points difference with 2nd place. That's a bit of an advantage PSG can win, but Madrid are an experienced team they can certainly take advantage of opportunities. I too believe that Poch will be keen to rest his star player’s and make sure they’re not injured for their clash against Real Madrid, but if he decides to play them and they end up losing to Real Madrid then he’ll be sacked right away.

I think they have a great chance this season to qualify for the quarter-finals although the reason isn't just because they won the first leg 1-0 against Real Madrid. I totally agree with you. Watching this game between Real and PSG was so much fun with all the superstars on the pitch. Finally some great soccer to watch. The only issue I see with placing all your superstars on the bench for the league games is that they can lose their rhythm. Bayern Munich almost never does that, they didn't either the last time they won the Champions League. Very rarely did Flick give a player a break, usually he sent the best team onto the pitch every game such that they blindly work together once the big games are around the corner. It has both advantages and disadvantages, with the latter primarily being about injuries and that would suck.
