The Montpellier - Rennes game has been really exciting so far. I was expecting a very competitive game indeed but I wasn't expecting this many goals honestly. Rennes got ahead by 2-0 and Montpellier made a comeback by bringing it to 2-2. But in the first minutes of the second half, Rennes got ahead once more. It is still going on by Rennes' 3-2 lead now. But everything can still happen here. These teams are already having a similar season now and it wouldn't be surprising to see any of them to win.

Neymar has been good for a long time, I was personally expecting him to be the next reign after Ronaldo and Messi. I don't known if I will say that he came at the wrong time. He came when Ronaldo and Messi was at their peak for decade plus. But currently many young players are out, you did not include Salah in the list because he is to me now like a world best. This you said is correct. Many Brazil players don't know how to keep fit. Ronaldinho has same problem too during his playing time. Rennes almost got caught after two goals lead but luckily they found winning goal early. Penalty was right decision. Rennes looked more organised today. You can see that from Terrier and Bourigeaud's goals. Hamari Traore created those goals, he was definitely the man of the match.
Oyongo and Elye Wahi had great goals for Montpellier but it wasn't enough. Rennes stayed in top places in standing, finishing in fourth place would be a nice record for them this seasoın.

PSG do look quite strong with a some of top players at their have, but they are always as likely to be beaten as in their last game. Messi, Neymar and Mbappe can't help PSG prevent defeat every game because football is a team game where when the team plays badly then the worst result is to lose or draw.

Saint-Etienne are in good form of late where they have lost just 1 time in their last 5 match. PSG of course must be wary of Saint-Etienne even though PSG are playing at home because PSG's bad trend can still continue if there is not enough enthusiasm to win. Honestly I believe PSG won because they still want to keep a points gap with their rivals so they can focus on the second leg of the Champions League better.

Yesterday there was a crazy match in the league in France, at halftime it was already 2-2. 4 goals at least. You don't see that anywhere these days. It is a pity that many teams fail, because there are a number of good teams that can make it difficult for Psg if they have a good day. Lille became champion 2 years ago for a reason. It was certainly one of the most entertaining matches of Friday night in most major leagues. I have to say they really felt like equals at one point, but then Rennes just had a few more goals than expected. I wouldn't be upset if I was Montpellier, they played very well and just got unlucky. Doesn't mean that they didn't deserve the win neither, they could have got a lucky pass there, lucky bounce here and they would have been the winners.

It was certainly a great game to watch. Lets see what Saturday and Sunday will bring, it is going to be tough for some teams and I am expecting PSG to actually have a great day, easily a win and even a domination like 3+ goals would be a lot better for their morale before the Madrid game.

Strasbourg lost very crucial two points at home against ten men Nice, even still one point is also good for these both teams as this will keep them at their respective spots for some more weeks. Saint Etienne is probably the team at the bottom of the points table. But have you seen the performance of their last 4 teams? Won 3 of 4 matches and drew one. Their performance was very good. Although PSG is an experienced team, we have seen in the past that they have lost points against weaker teams. Still, I hope PSG wins today's match. Neymar, Messi and Mbappe are all in the squad.
