I think the coach actually thought that this was not a good result brought by him. I think he set up a standard for himself. And he was unable to deliver up to the standards. So he thought probably someone else might be able to do a better job compared to what he is doing right now. Right now the situation is not very good, to be honest. With the change of manager, it will definitely be hard for players to cope with the new tactics of new manager.

Will the new manager be able to bring good results? Only time will tell. But whatever the new coach does, he will have to bring better results compared to what the last coach was bringing.

 I think he made the right choice because the team lost the Champions league play off under his control and he was not confident of himself to be successful at the club this season so instead of allowing them to suffer this season or him facing the embarrassement of being  sacked due to a poor performances he foresaw, he decided to resign for someone else to take over, and currently the team is managed by Pancho Abardonado, as an interim manager.

 But come to think of it Marcelino's performance wasn't really bad cause they're currently unbeaten and are on the 3rd position in the table with 9 points just 2 points behind the current leaders Monaco, they're even above the league giants PSG so i wonder why he's decide to resign, well let's see what the interim manager brings to the team, if he'll be able to impress the board and secure a permanent job.

From one point, the decision of the coach does make sense. He may have thought that he was not doing good enough and probably. He also thought that there were other people who would be able to do a better job compared to him. He probably even thought that he might do worse in the future, and he actually got himself out of that before he was even able to bring worse results.

But at the same time, I think he definitely could have done better. Especially if given enough time. And I definitely think that he was not given enough time. He himself did not give him enough time. So maybe he could have done better with the team, maybe he would have done worse. I guess we will never know.

As I said before that statistics and feelings can have a big influence in determining the results and I feel very happy that my predictions were correct. Maybe there are so many friends here who doubt that Nice will win and I still stand by my stance of favoring Nice. This was proven by the narrow victory in the minute of injury time which succeeded in securing 3 points against Monaco.

You are right Folarin Balogun missing 2 penalties in the game between Monaco and Nice kept the Nice team in the game, and also ensured that the Nice is motivated to try and put more energy into winning the game and thats just what happened. A late winner for Nice deservedly to go top of the league.

Adolf Hütter is dissapointed with the results his team witnessed in Stade Louis II against Nice. We all know how Nice struggle last season and ended 9th position on the Ligue One table, this season they're first ranked, shocking. I'm not surprised to see Monaco lost against an average side last night. Ofcourse all fingers points out to Folarin Jerry Balogun who is to be blamed for the all big chances he missed, and also failed in his ability to net two clean penalties that would have aided them to be on the winning side. Perhaps he remained their top attacker, more to learn about the functions of Ligue One for the player.

I thought the defeat was quite ridiculous, two golden opportunities that failed to convert into goals. Having the status as the most prestigious player at the club does not guarantee that he will make the expected contribution. I think it's rare for consecutive failures to execute penalties in one match, of course he won't forget that misfortune for a long time. Making his debut as a starter since moving from Arsenal, Balugun failed to make a good impression at his new club.

Now the Ligue 1 standings are led by Nice, and Monaco is in second place, after suffering their first defeat of the season. It is likely that Marsielle and Brest will be replaced if they both manage to win the match in week six.

Folarin Balogun is a great player, he was just unlucky in his match against Nice, instead of condemning Balogun's performance, we should see how the Nice goalkeeper (Marcin Bułka) performed. He played really great in this match and became MOTM with a rating of 8.5. I really enjoyed this match, 2 teams fighting for 1st place in Ligue 1, hopefully we see things like this for more time in Ligue 1, I'm tired of seeing PSG become Ligue 1 champions regularly.

Last season, Lyon was the better team; This time around, Lyon are struggling in the league and have just 2 points in 5 games; while Brest are 3rd on the log with 10 points after 3 games.

Lyon is one of the worst teams this year, they cannot get points from the matches. The team is perhaps in a worse situation than ever before and its opponent in this match is also quite good. In previous years, Lyon would have been expected to be third and its rival at the bottom, but this year the situation is exactly the opposite.
I think tonight's match is too risky to bet on, it is very difficult to predict who will win. I think Lyon will lose points because they will be playing away, but they can surprise us and maybe play a good match like last years and win the match

I'm just fed up with PSG playing the invincible team of Ligue 1, winning the league title every season is just annoying to me because they can't even do well in Europe competitions, is so sad. I think Mikel Arteta's decision to sell him was the right one and you can see how a striker can miss two penalties. On the other hand, I have to criticize coach Adi Hütter who should have given other players the opportunity to take the penalty kick so that the results would be more promising.

I would usually say that the win in the Champions League should give a boost in confidence, but Borussia Dortmund wasn't really that tough of an opponent. That's not to say that the game doesn't help PSG to further improve and take this success with them for the games in Ligue 1, but PSG has to overcome their relaxed way of playing in Ligue 1. They can beat the tough opponents, but there problem is to play less than 100% serious in Ligue 1.

Paris Saint Germaine can not afford to drop points again if they're really in serious contention to win the French Ligue 1 title at the end of the season. Balogun was very unfortunate today and he would be so pissed at himself for being the major reason why his team lost the match and gave Nice an opportunity to top the league, if he had converted those two penalty he missed Monaco won't had lost and would still maintain their position in the league Balogun is not a bad player actually, last season he was very brilliant and score more goals but I don't think he's more focused while on the penalty kick and it should definitely be handed to another better kicker.
 Well Nice actually performed well in the match even though Monaco was more dominant, Nice Created more chances and managed to convert one of it into a goal thanks to Balogun for missing the penalties and putting them ahead in the table but I believe Monaco are still strong contenders and would do better in their next match.

It wasn't Balogun's day so the 2 penalties he took both failed to convert into goals. I would not consider this a win based on luck for Nice. The game tomorrow against Marseille is most likely going to be a win for PSG as recently PSG has seems to have been doing better as compared to Marseille and PSG definitely wants to be at the top that's basically their aim and I'm most certain they may achieve it this weekend if they get a victory against Marseille in tomorrow's game hopefully.

Marseille is at fourth position on the league table with 9points while PSG is at fifth with 8 points a winner tomorrow will keep them 2 points ahead of Marseille and three points away from toping the table. I will be glad if PSG will secure this point and gradually climb to the top of the table, I really want to see them their because over the weak they have proven they can despite their little set backs.

It was indeed a supposed Hard game but then PSG did won and it got people surprised to a very great extent as they did not just win but gave the German side pressure enough to keep them at their post and make them more of a defensive team as PSG did most of the attack and possessed the ball and the game the most more than Dortmund did in a greater part of the game.
