Marseille had a performance which was quite below the expectation level from them tonight. This resulted in their two-point loss as well. The equalizer came in the stoppage time by the way. If Marseille were able to do more after scoring an early the final score could have been much different. But we watched an even worse Marseille in the second half.  

After the Montpellier draw this is another one against a middle-positioned team in the league. Marseille actually started to improve their form after a bad start to the season first. But now things are again getting out of control. They had better collect themselves quickly to prevent the gap with Champions League area from getting much bigger.

Marseille were very unlucky in this game despite how good they were when they scored the early goal and how bad they were when they didn't add another goal and by receiving the draw at the extra time of the second half of the match.
Strasbourg might controlled more the ball and attacked more Marseille but they weren't very successful before scoring their goal. Marseille in the other hand had fewer opportunities but they were more serious.
Regarding the other games, Marseille might lose at least one place in the ranking..

I think it is very doubtful when Marseille meets Strasbourg that I am not interested in betting on this match. I think Marseille still haven't fully learned when facing an opponent like Strasbourg and they repeat the same thing and I think it's quite detrimental. This result also made Marseille fail to shorten the distance from Brest, who sits comfortably in 4th position in the standings.

I think this draw is quite natural because Strasbourg's performance is quite good so it is very difficult for Marseille to win even though they are playing at home.
And in my opinion there is nothing to lose here and a draw is a fair result for both teams because the quality of the two teams is quite equal.
However, for Marseille there has been no improvement in performance after the long break and this indicates that they are not ready to compete at the top this season.

In fact, Lyon managed to win 4 times in a row in all competitions, most recently they managed to achieve a landslide victory in the French Cup against Pontarlier. With Lyon's current journey, I think they have managed to recover from the downturn experienced at the start of the season, their confidence has now recovered, of course Lyon's current target is to improve the standings and stay away from the relegation zone.

Indeed, currently Lyon is actually really struggling to win the match so at least they can be completely safe from the relegation zone. Change of coach is going to have positive impact on Lyon with now they are having three wins which bring them out of the relegation zone and their win against Monaco is surely bringing good confidence booster for them now if they are able to keep things on this level for few more weeks most chances they will also able to bring themselves to the better level in league table now their next game is against Le Havre which is new promoted and doing impressive in this season, but now we will have the toughest game with Lyon will be give their best.

With this performance and consistency we can expect better things in Lyon, and they will try their best for having to end in middle of the league table which is surely going to have good for them after having the worst start of the season.

They've got to use the games during the early second half of the season to cover up their tracks and also strive to be far better than Sociedad and even advance to the quarter finals.

Yes, despite the unsatisfactory results achieved by Marseille, but I also think the result is a reasonable result when we see how these two clubs play. It is painful indeed when the victory already looks in sight must be lost just because the opponent can create an equalizer in the final minutes before the match ends.
Overall this game is balanced, Marseille did not dare to play openly, that might make me think a little that the strategy they applied in this match actually backfired on them. the article they are too careful, so that it makes Strasbourg even more comfortable in playing even though they are behind. Olympique Marseille has once again confirmed how unpredictable French Ligue 1 can be. A lot of people would have lost fortune betting on Marseille to win yesterday. However Strasbourg is not also a bad opponent this season considering the fact that they won 3 of the last matches and drew 1. They even won a strong side Lille who are standing at 28 points this so far, the same with Marseille. The major area of disappointment with Marseille in that match was the fact that they were at home and failed to maximize their home advantage. The only goal that Gigot scored for them was an early goal which I don't consider worth celebrating much as anyone can score an early goal.

I would love to see more seriousness from a top team like Marseille if they nurture the hope of going far in the European league which they qualified for the playoff round and will be facing the Ukranian side Shakhtar Donesk on the 15th of next month.

I would like to call that unlucky day for marseille. The club was almost winning three points but the goal was from strassbourg during injury time. It was an unlucky day for marseille coz the team must have seen that its club lost two points when the match was almost coming to the end. The defensive line of marseille became even worst and inconsistent once these guys were playing at the late game. The dream of marseille must be vanished after it was not able continuously defending the performance from the club.

True and marseille needs to learn how to be consistent till the end of game. It's quite hard to predict what tactic that is going to be used by its opponent till the end of game. Strassbourg's pattern was predictable but marseilla could not properly defending its goal keeper.
The club needs to learn a lot from this. Marseille needs to push the defensive line to perform even more consistently till the full time. I have seen that so many cases like this happened to the various club.

I think Marseille decided to defend because they thought if they wanted to actually go on attack, they might leave gaps in the defense. And that was going to be bad for them. They could get caught on the counterattack. But in the end, all they were able to do was get themselves into a defensive mindset and they definitely did not attack as much as they should have.

Actually, they had to pay a price for that as well. In the end, they ended up conceding on the 92nd minute of the match. And it did not matter how much they tried to attack after that. At that time they had to care more about getting at least one point from the match. I can see both of the teams now do not have any losses in the last 5 matches. But I will actually say that both of them can be a little more consistent in their performance.

Marseille got an early lead and had plenty of opportunities which they weren’t able to convert and then they were struck woth a goal in injury tome which led to a draw. Marseille should be really pained after this match because they had the best of the match possession wise and shots wise but were quite unlucky not to get 3 points. Kudos to Strasborg who remained composed even when they were being played totally by Marseille and they played away from home. This tells us this Ligue 1 really has potentials to be very competitive.

 Nobody thought Marseille would have the fair share of this match because Strasborg aren’t a bad side and can hit on you so hard especially having 3 wins and a draw in their last 5. Well Marseille could go for the Europa League if they maintain consistency and try to compete in every match and also in the current UEL where they’re playing Shakhtar Donetsk.

I probably have the same opinion and also I avoid betting on league 1 clubs except PSG and I won't be surprised if Marseille fails to get 3 points because even though this club previously performed very well, in fact Marseille still can't be said to be consistent because it is clear that yesterday's match It should have been very favorable for Marseille but fell short after Strasbourg scored late on and this is a very easy example to be careful about betting on an unstable club.
I think there are a lot of changes in this season. The clubs that looked strong last season are very different from this season and we can see how popular clubs like Marseille and Lens were extraordinary last season and this season are having a really hard time consistently getting 3 points in every game.
Yesterday's match, even though I didn't bet on the match, at first I thought Marseille would easily win but it turned out that was just a false hope.

Next time, make a bet on a certain team, of course and PSG is a top-ranked team that is always a hope for bettors to make money. Actually, Marseille is quite good, it's just that when they face opponents who don't excite them, Marseille often lose points and that's what I often feel when I watch their game. Maybe it could be said that this season is still not completely stable for Marseille because they started this season with bad results and I think they are still lucky to have come this far.

I think Marseille is experiencing the same thing as Lens and it can be seen that often when watching matches these two teams always present an unsatisfactory performance. But I think this can still be improved as long as there is still time to do it and Marseille is certainly still enthusiastic about securing a place in European competition next season. Monaco lost their game home against Reims by three goals to one. The game was quite balanced between the two teams but Reims created more opportunities and might be able to score more.
With the defeat of Monaco and the draw of Marseille, PSG will be able to increase the gap between them to plus ten goals at the exception of Nice which is playing right now against Reims. The most curious thing is that Rennes are pushing and Nice didn't create a serious opportunity yet.

This season, they've been a total shadow of the Lens team we saw last campaign and I don't even think they're gonna get into the top four of the French league at the end of the season.
Paris Saint Germaine are currently in a very impressive run and against Lens, I still expect them to win the game and grab all three points. The knockout stages of the UEFA champions league competition will kick off next month and Paris Saint Germaine are keen on further extending their lead at the top of the league table so that league games wouldn't be too important to them when the UEFA champions league competition returns in February.

Marseille recently have got a lot of inconsistent performance and that hasn't helped them get good position on the table, last season I see their performance as a bit above that which they are doing now because Strasbourg isn't so much of a tough team and they could have been able to win them but shared points.

On the standings, Strasbourg is at the ninth position with twenty one points and in their last five matches the won three and drew two which tells of an average performance but then they haven't been this really good at the beginning of the season except for recently meanwhile Marseille has similar records in their last five matches which although they have been doing good at the beginning of the season before they later performed inconsistently but then I'm optimistic that they can make it to top five position because from the sixth position where they're to the fifth isn't much point difference.

I don't know what changed in the second half but Monaco started to play worse against Reims. Actually it should have been the opposite because Reims closed the first half 1-0 ahead. Despite having a decent season Monaco lost their concentration very easily in this game which I didn't like to see. And of course congrats to Reims for their high effort. 

Reims are technically fighting for top four this season but we will see how this challenge will end. I believe they have a serious chance to achieve that because some big teams of the league are having a problematic time period these days.

A few hours remaining to start this match and now it seems Lens laterally got no luck against PSG. In the last season, these two teams were racing with each other for the French League title and Lens was even close to winning the French League but they couldn't do that in the last weeks. But this Lens is much different than what we saw from them in the last season and in the current situation of both teams, think PSG can easily beat Lens.

Last season, one of the factors that made Lens perform quite well was because they didn't have a busy competition schedule. their focus is only on Ligue 1, so it's natural that they can always maximize their performance. in fact, they were able to overtake Marseille last season. this season Lens has to distribute its focus on several competitions, it seems that Lens is having a very difficult time performing with the same performance as last season. apart from several players leaving, the newcomers seem to need time to adapt. this season's competition started badly, but gradually their performance improved. at least, quite safe from the red zone and is now in 8th place. as for Paris Saint-Germani, they have played 13 matches without defeat after losing to Nice.

On paper, PSG is superior in this meeting which will be held tomorrow. this is natural, because PSG has much more competitive depth than Lens. but we'll see, when Lens play their match when they host PSG at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis, Lens' headquarters. at the very least, Haise is targeting a draw in this match. because to overthrow PSG currently with its quite impressive positive trend in Ligue 1, will be quite a difficult challenge for the home team. meanwhile for Luiz Enrique's squad, this victory is also important for them. at least, you have said one factor in this post..PSG will try as hard as possible to achieve every win in their domestic league so they can focus on the Champions League. moreover, in other matches, Nice lost to Rennes and Monaco also lost to Reims. full points will benefit PSG, to further widen the points gap with teams below their ranking.
