Now, people, I need to seriously praise Lille. They put on the best show I've seen them in a while. They're smart about how they play because they know Ligue 1 is tough. They are saving their best for Europe while also killing it at home. They are guaranteed to make the Champions League if they keep scoring like this. They should be careful, especially since Nice and Monaco are right behind them.

Now Lille is in the top four and can also be a serious threat to Monaco and Brest because the points gap between these three teams is quite close now. But I am also still wary of other teams like Nice who can still fight to get their best position this season because in Ligue 1 there are only three positions that can directly qualify for the UCL without having to take part in qualifications, such as the team that finished the season in fourth place. And I think the battle for that position will still be fierce until the end of the season in Ligue 1.

Lille will be a big threat to Monaco and Brest in the league because he gap between them is not much and right it will be more competitive than before for the teams since they will drag on the team that will be behind the team in the first on the table PSG. With the number of games left before the end of the season it is still possible to see a change in the position of the teams in the table, Nice and Lens are in 5th and 6th position with 43 and 42 points it is still possible for them to catch up with Lille and Brest  who is in the 3rd and 4th position with 47 and 46 points.

In the most important match of the week, it was Lille who won.Lille took the 3 points by defeating Lens 2-1 at home and moved into 3rd place with more than a game in hand.2 There was a 1 point difference between the 2 rivals before the match and we knew that the winner of this match would take a step forward.Lille played better with the advantage of being the host and won the match.Lille, who won the match with 2 goals scored by Zhegrova, is now waiting for their rivals to lose points.Lens will want to finish at least in the top 6 of the league, but I don't know if they can succeed because there is a tight race between the teams and the points are very close to each other.

The match is quite interesting actually because in terms of strength and competition they are quite comparable and this is really worth watching because Lille and Lens gave quite an acting performance that made me not miss watching this match. It's just that in terms of results it looks like Lens have to accept that this season they are still losing but that doesn't mean they are bad in this match it's just that Lille are better in terms of performance.

Lille is smart in the utilization of the midfield which of course adds to their attack power and their attack flow is more varied compared to Lens Lille's attack pattern is much more alive because they are more stable and better prepared especially when playing in front of their own supporters then it will certainly be much more arousing their enthusiasm.

Monaco is more likely to be in second place but Lille could get points faster to put strong pressure on Monaco.
Brest is currently having its heyday in second place but I doubt this club because Monaco and Lille are more experienced clubs because with experience like this Monaco and Lille will easily shift Brest position when the time is right and I believe Monaco can catch up soon points difference from Brest.

Of the remaining matches, there are several matches that are a bit tough for Lille, Brest and Monaco to go through and it all depends on how consistent these 3 clubs are to maintain their position.
Looking at the upcoming match schedule, it looks like Lille and Monaco will have a slightly difficult opponent when Lille has to face Marseille and Monaco has to face Rennes but Brest will have a slightly easier opponent only against Metz.
If Lille or Monaco really want to catch up with the difference in points from Brest, at least in the upcoming match, Monaco and Lille must also succeed in winning.

I'm quite contented with betting on both teams to score for the Lyon - Reims game.    Because I think it was riskier to bet on a side in this game between really close teams. If I made such bet my choice would be Lyon and I would lose obviously. Monaco's win wasn't a surprise but the way they got the win was really impressive. This win carried them to the second position too. 

Balogun was really solid with two goals maybe but I don't like his general performance this season. He has scored a really low amount of goals unlike the previous season. He is still only 22 years old though. Not every striker is that consistent at young ages. He has a good talent and I hope he doesn't waste it.

Previously I predicted that the match between Lyon and Reims would not produce many goals, that's why I gave the under option with 2.75 @1.91. and yes, the match ended with the score 1-1. I had previously suspected that this match would be tough. Moreover, these two teams are one place apart. even though Reims has not been very consistent in some of their matches, it will not be easy for Lyon to overthrow them.
On the contrary, even though Lyon is starting to experience an increase in performance. but it is not an easy matter to overthrow the opposing team, especially in the first meeting Reims was able to overthrow Lyon. that's why, I think this match will not produce goals. especially, I'm not sure Lyon will win this match. especially for the away team, their performance is also not stable enough.

Another match, between Metz vs Monaco. this match also met my expectations. if Monaco is able to overthrow the home team. even though in fact, several of their players were absent due to injury. however, Adolf Hutter remained confident and believed in his team, he carried out an offensive pattern. while Metz plays with a 4-5-1 defense system. in the end, Monaco was able to beat the home team with a score of 2-5. at the start of the first half the whistle sounded, Adolf Hutter's team immediately dominated and scored a quick goal in the 4th minute. Marseille have had good results since Jean Louis Gasset took over as coach. They need to finish among the top 5 in the league to qualify for the European cups in the coming seasons. Even though they will play as hosts, the opponents they will face are the toughest teams in Ligue 1, and they will not be long away from locking in the title, so it is clear that this is a very difficult match for Marseille. But even so, they shouldn't just give up on the team they will face.

They still have a chance, even though it's not a big chance, but at least they can force a draw in this match. I don't think PSG will be willing to give Mbappe an improved contract because is currently one of the highest-paid footballers in the history of football. The club gave the French striker the best financial package the last time he renewed his contract and will let him go if he is not willing to remain with them.  

But from all indications, the striker is not influenced by money anymore since he has even agreed to take a pay cut in Real Madrid. He wants to pursue personal glory and the club is preparing for his departure. They are building and bringing in young players and are also on the verge of bringing in a new striker to replace Mbappe.  Strikers like Napoli striker Victor Osinhem have been tipped to replace the Frenchman. But for now, it seems the club is focusing on how to get a good outing in the UCL and they might consider transfers after the campaign.

That was an easy win for Monaco to achieve when they visited Metz's headquarters. Yes, since this match hasn't started yet, we can already predict that Monaco will be able to win because the difference between them and the home team is very large, the home team is in the relegation zone. while they are in 2nd place in the standings.
They also achieved this victory easily, they were even able to score 3 goals before the game had been running for 20 minutes, clearly that was a very easy advantage for them to record like that. The first half ended with a score of 3-0, in the second half it seemed they were still not satisfied by scoring another goal in the 76th minute, even though Metz had responded with 2 goals but Monaco was able to get away again with a goal which they scored again, which also became the final goal in this match.
The competition for 2nd place is getting tighter now considering how these teams are really trying hard to be the best, yes, even though they still make a lot of mistakes which make them lose points, overall this is quite interesting.

I think it is quite natural that Monaco was able to beat Metz with a big score because in terms of strength, of course Monaco is much stronger this season so there was no big obstacle for Monaco in that match. With this victory, Monaco was able to maintain their ranking in the top 3 and Monaco is only 1 point behind Brest which is above their ranking. In another match, Marseille vs PSG, the match had entered the final minutes of the first half but the score was still 0-0.

If you look at PSG in today's match, I'm sure they can steal 3 points at home to Merseille. Luis Enrique played all of their core players in today match. Mbappe, Kolo and Dembele were the spearheads in this match. In terms of strength, they can definitely score 1 goal or more and it's possible that today's match will end with a close score.
