As for Spurs, they should be able to win even though it was an away game against Brighton, even though De Zerbi's men have not been very consistent in the last few matches and it looks like Ange's squad is unable to beat Brighton. Spurs had conceded 4 goals before Veliez and Davies reduced the score to 4-2. I understand even if Spurs lose that match, but for Arsenal it feels very unreasonable and like they don't have a winning mentality.

I honestly am not surprised that they both lost last night because these two have the habit of disappointing their fans when it most matters. Had Tottenham won last night they would have moved up from their 5th position and nestled at the 4th spot, pushing Man City back, whereas Arsenal would have taken back their place from Liverpool but what happened? They lost woefully to clubs that should naturally not pose a threat. The annoying part is that of Arsenal who had 30 shots on target but could not find the net, instead all Arteta could see to do was to blame VAR for making a wrong decision by awarding that first goal.
 Arsenal need a lot of good finishers because I've got to be honest, Gabriel Jesus isn't just cutting it, for me he performs better when he plays from the wing . Imagine him making silly mistakes and losing chances that should have seen them win the game comfortably, yet Arteta continues playing him as a striker. Another error Arteta seemed to commit was playing Zinchenko as a defender and I was asking myself what really was wrong with him yesterday.
 Truly, football is a sport filled with surprises but I was so not impressed with both Tottenham and Arsenal last night and if this is how they (the Gunners) hope to carry the title, they has better pull out now while it's still early. These two clubs showed that from their performance last night, they aren't fit to represent North London.

Since Arsenal lost to West Ham at home, I believe that Manchester City still has a chance to win the league title this season. My initial thought was that, with new players joining the team, this season would be different from last season in that Manchester City would struggle to return to the top, but Arsenal still lost to earn three points.

Arsenal failure to secure full points at home surprised everyone, many thought that Arteta squad could take over the top of the standings from Liverpool. However, the final result of the match said differently, West Ham emerged as winners and Arsenal became losers at the Emirates. There was a lot of backlash following the 2-0 loss to West Ham, questioning Arsenal strength in the trophy race, and comparing Arsenal to other title challenging clubs, all of which led to doubts that Arsenal would not be able to win silverware this season.

Man City is 5 points adrift of Liverpool at the top of the standings, while Arsenal is 3 points adrift, and Aston Villa is 2 points adrift. Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola squad has 37 points, and Man City still has one match postponed against Brentford. That means City opportunity to overtake Aston Villa and Arsenal is quite big in the future, if Liverpool slips too then Pep will bring City back to the top of the standings.

Liverpool is definitely in the title race, what i like most about their title charge this season is how they have gone about it with little to no noise, at the start of the season everyone was looking at City and Arsenal only, and too many people were not giving Liverpool a chance at the title, maybe because of how bad they were last season. Arsenal's loss to West Ham is a clear illustration that the Premier League title is pretty much open for every team that wants to contest it. Half of the premier league matches have been played, the remaining half is to be played, and we don't the clubs that will win more or lose more of their match.
Before we decide on that, Arteta needs to work on Arsenal's defense because that seems to be their weak spot, and other teams they play against will hold on to that to play a counterattack against them. it will be bad if their frontline attacking force is good but their backline defense is porous.
It won't speak well of Arteta's record this time if Arsenal loses out on lifting the Premier League title this season like the way the previous season(lifting the PL title) slipped out of Arsenal's hands.

Westham deserved it to win the game and yeah arsenal was not lucky enough. I was saying it was not lucky enough caused by arsenal was not playing so badly in that game. It's caused by in fact that if arsenal has made so many chances but the club was not lucky enough like when saka was shooting the ball but it was hitting the bar. It has become one of important moment in the match. This is why i was saying arsenal was not losing against westham in term of gameplay but it was losing against westham in term of luck.
Westham was always lucky enough caused by arsenal has been trying so hard to make it happen but it keeps failed till the end of match. Im feeling really disappointed with the result but since westham desrved it then i say congrats for westham.
You deserved it by playing consistently against arsenal in all of the minutes. Evaluating the club, especially in regard to their finishing, can be achieved by Arsenal utilizing the result against West Ham.

I agree with you. West Ham definitely deserved this win. We saw Arsenal's dominance throughout the match though. But West Ham were very tactical. The players were confident. Arsenal's players attacked a lot, but West Ham's players were not fazed at all. They were able to successfully counter Arsenal's attacks. And importantly, West Ham's players were able to produce several excellent counter-attacks. Since Arsenal played completely attacking, their defense was vulnerable. The players of West Ham used this opportunity well. And they managed to score two goals.

It is very clear that Arsenal are in need of a sticker who can be scoring 20 goals and above each season if they are ever going to win the premier league again. The stricking department in the club is not producing. If they can get a good stricker by January they will have a chance of winning the league this season.

Arsenal lack of competent striker is a major consign and obstacle to winning the title this season, it was obvious in yesterday match against West Ham that the inability of Gabriel Jesus to convert some of their goal scoring chances was partially responsible for their loss it's very glaring if they have a striker like Haaland I am very sure they would have gotten a positive result from that match, Nketiah alternative striker who was always benched for Gabriel Jesus is neither competent enough too thus it up to the manager to scout for a very profilic striker in January transfer window else if the team continue to play the duo mentioned above there chances of winning the league would be slim.

Like the previous season the Premier League title for Arsenal is still a mystery so it is not surprising why many people are quite doubtful when facing the final season making it a habit for them  to show less than good performances. We know that Liverpool and Man City are always aggressive when clubs like Arsenal are starting to falter, Arteta is still focused  on building a team by gathering young players. Arsenal were the only team to challenge Manchester City for the title last season. Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United and Tottenham performed poorly. But this season's scenario is different. The performance of Arsenal and Liverpool players is now stronger than the performance of Manchester City players. These two teams are playing very well. And they are playing with the goal of winning the title. At the same time, the performance of Aston Villa players is also quite good. I believe what happened to Arsenal last season will happen again, because they have started playing weak games, and he will affect their chances of winning the Premier League trophy, and make Liverpool win, and now that Manchester City are in the top 4 in the league table, I believe Guadiola will try his hardest to top the league if Liverpool make any mistakes, because if Manchester City top the league, I don't think they will get any club that will bring them down again in the Premier League if they top the table now because guadiola will not make any mistakes that will make him drop any point. I expected Liverpool or Arsenal to win the league title this season, but I see Arsenal starting to play weak games in their matches, and I don't believe West Ham can defeat Arsenal so easily in Emirates Stadium, which is why football is unpredictable. West Ham currently leads Manchester United by two points, and if they continue to perform well they can finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League next season.

I quite agree wit you though, I do not think that Manchester city will win the trophy this season, they probably might come close to winning it, but I don't think they would, a lot clubs are currently performing above expectations, and as such, this has made the premier league this season more competitive than most of us expected.

Arsenal seem to be in a much more better position to win the title this season, but just incase they fail, which I am stil hoping they don't, Liverpool or Aston villa seems quite ready and prepared to take over.
But then again, just incase all this clubs fail to perform well, and Manchester city end up winning the trophy again this season, then, it might again turn out to be another disappointing season for me, since I am honestly not in support of Manchester city winning the trophy again, after having won last season, and I think even the previous one before the last season.

Not too good like the one they had when they won the Premier League and Champions League. Currently they are just having only one of the wings working effectively and that's from Mo Salah. He'll be out for the African Cup of Nations Competitions and when that happens, I'll love to see how they cope without Salah. Can Elliott, Jones and Diaz do the job?!

They have Thiago Alcantara returning mid January and that'll make their midfied stronger. Arsenal had the chance to go top but they literally waisted the opportunity. Arsenal management needs to invest some new set of players in the transfer window.

Luton Town is a very interesting team to watch this season as they could sometimes create miracle results against big teams even though they are clearly the underdogs with their small squad of players. Chelsea will need to play against Luton Town in their next upcoming match away from home and I think there is a high chance for Chelsea to stop Luton Town from claiming a 3rd win streak tomorrow.

Your guess could still be right and could still be wrong, of course because I'm sure Arsenal and Manchester City will always be there to have tough competition until the end of the season. The depth of Liverpool's squad is no different compared to last season, but Liverpool have a great job this season because Klopp has succeeded in increasing the motivation of the players to do their best.

Arsenal and Tottenham lost their last respective matches, so this is an opportunity for Manchester City to get closer to Liverpool at the top of the standings. Manchester City have 1 match in hand which could possibly put them within 2 points of Liverpool, so it won't be easy for Liverpool to win the title this season without tight competition.

I was initially confident in Arsenal before the match started saying the Gunners would definitely win because this was playing at home, unfortunately this did not become the desired expectation even though of course I bet Arsenal but the results were disappointing at the hands of West Ham.

Arsenal squad could not score at all, Arsenal did seem to continue to attack, it's just that their attacks were often thwarted by opponents West Ham goalkeeper did a good job making it difficult for Arsenal.

This match is quite upsetting to remember because seeing from what Arsenal showed in this match, their dominance was actually very crazy but in the end it was also unable to make them get 3 points even with the ball possession and the many opportunities they had.
West Ham played very well in defense but actually if you look at what happened 2 goals scored by West Ham I think it can be minimized by Arsenal actually but with problems about communication that is not very good precisely this makes the situation of Arsenal not very profitable even though they are favorites in this match.



The unlucky thing is that my multi bet had to end in the last match which I expected actually to be better even though it was a good momentum especially after getting crucial wins from Chelsea and Manchester United bets but Arsenal disappointed me this week.

Arsenal is set to lose another trophy this season. They play the entire game, but West Ham is the only team scoring. I disagree with anyone who predicted that West Ham would defeat Arsenal. My expectation was that Arsenal would win because they need the three points to get back the top spot in the league, but they are unable to defend their home. If West Ham not missed the penalty, the score would have ended in a 3:0 defeat for Arsenal. Liverpool is still leading the league right now.

Since Arsenal lost to West Ham at home, I believe that Manchester City still has a chance to win the league title this season. My initial thought was that, with new players joining the team, this season would be different from last season in that Manchester City would struggle to return to the top, but Arsenal still lost to earn three points.

I think it’s safe to say Arsenal aren’t ready to challenge for the EPL title this season. If you don't score you don't win games simple. Sometimes I feel Arteta is trying to prove a point. He’s trying the impose his tactics on everybody, and he’s ready to keep pushing it till it works out.. he’s not ready to change it for anybody or anything.
I think yesterday was not the first time Arsenal conceded first and lost, it's not about the players now, its Arteta.

I was initially confident in Arsenal before the match started saying the Gunners would definitely win because this was playing at home, unfortunately this did not become the desired expectation even though of course I bet Arsenal but the results were disappointing at the hands of West Ham.

Arsenal squad could not score at all, Arsenal did seem to continue to attack, it's just that their attacks were often thwarted by opponents West Ham goalkeeper did a good job making it difficult for Arsenal.

This match is quite upsetting to remember because seeing from what Arsenal showed in this match, their dominance was actually very crazy but in the end it was also unable to make them get 3 points even with the ball possession and the many opportunities they had.
West Ham played very well in defense but actually if you look at what happened 2 goals scored by West Ham I think it can be minimized by Arsenal actually but with problems about communication that is not very good precisely this makes the situation of Arsenal not very profitable even though they are favorites in this match.



The unlucky thing is that my multi bet had to end in the last match which I expected actually to be better even though it was a good momentum especially after getting crucial wins from Chelsea and Manchester United bets but Arsenal disappointed me this week.

Just because Arsenal, who were very stupid, were humiliated at home and were unable to hold West Ham to a draw, whereas if we look at several times, Arsenal took shots but somehow they always missed the target and if we look at the statistical results, Arsenal took 30 shots and 8 shots against. The direction of the goal was so bad that Martinelli even shot towards the goal without producing a score.
I felt embarrassed seeing Arsenal's performance yesterday but however previously I had said that even though Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa were at the top, these three clubs were not able to perform as consistently as Manchester City when they were in first position and from the appearance of these three clubs I still believe that Manchester city will eventually return to first place in the points table.

I can't stress how much pained I am for Arsenal losing to Westhampton united yesterday. I knew it would be quite difficult to win Westhampton but I somehow was expecting a draw with Saka, Gabriel, Martinelli, Odegaard all shooting wide and missing numerous chances to secure their three points or even one.
No EPL trophy for Arsenal this season and I think Arteta knows this and would seek out new strikers with a consistent finish.
