So the bittersweet truth for Manchester United fans is that, Cristiano Ronaldo may likely end up been a Chelsea player. Thomas Tuchel seems to be a big fan.
But Manchester United doing everything possible to push suitors away. They have recently agreed with Christian Erikson on a three year deal at Manchester United, pair him alongside Bruno Fernandez and a proper Defensive Midfielder ( That I know they don't have ).

He was their top goalscorer, but basically changed the way the team plays. He did score goals but the team in general played worse with him than it did the season before without him.

He still demands his superstar status and yet doesn't really deserve it with his workrate anymore. No top club can play the way hey want with him in the team and if someone does take him from United (unlikely), it will be a business-based move, not a football-based one.

This club has changed a lot, and the direction of the change can't be said to be good. So it's no wonder they can't finish with quality players that many giant clubs are fighting for. The man who everyone thought would bring United salvation to Champions League has changed his mind, if he wants to live, they should let him and sell him for a good price. I understand that his absence after he left Juventus has had a significant impact on their demotion to relegation, but Manchester United is different, they weren't better or worse when he wasn't there.
Now that Chelsea is interested in him, who knows what has been going on with other clubs all this time. This is what happens when a team losses it's place in the champions league. Most players that Manchester United is going for are refusing to sign for United because of their inability to qualify for the champions league next season, not that the club is not making a good offer but the players are not willing to sign for the club. Ronaldo will be leaving the club soon yet no replacement and De Jong is yet to accept that huge amount all because he knows that he won't be seen in the big team's competition Champions League.  If the coach doesn't make a  positive move in getting quality players for manchester United I doubt if there would be a different story from their performance last season.

Cristiano Ronaldo's absence from pre-season training is heavily linked with his family issues and as such, his likely to join the club later on although, he had expressed desires not to play this season with Manchester United team given that, he wants to play in the UCL following Manchester United's qualification in the Europa. This is unappreciated by CR7 but Erik Ten Hag is determined to have him in the team for one more season to see how much he could do with them as it would be in there best interest but, not with the player. Its allottee confusing for Manchester United at the moment but, they've got to cope should it turn out that the player has to go. Chelsea isn't a bad choice for CR7!
