Liverpool is likely to maintain their form from the previous season with just a little addition to the squad which will be easier to get the players to be acquainted and know themselves much better and it turned out that Liverpool ended up being victorious and the winners of the community shield. The match was really fun and Liverpool got a deserved win indeed. Salah was not much different than we already know and he performed really amazing in this match. He had the biggest contribution in this 3-1 win by one goal and one assist. Nunez also managed to score in his first official match which is really good for them. Haaland could have done the same but he wasted an unbelievable chance in the last moments of the match. However this can happen to every player so we will see what he will do in the Premier League.

Congratulations to Liverpool! That 3-1 victory over Manchester City was a perfect beginning to the season for certain. This game would have ended differently as well if Manchester City were more capable about scoring goals. The league would be much different from this of course. But Liverpool would be more focused at the beginning of the season as they have won a cup already now. We will see which one of these teams will make a better start to the season. I will look forward to seeing Haaland scoring many goals like he was doing at Dortmund.

It was really hard to predict the result but I must admit that Liverpool's getting a very clear win made me surprised a little. I would expect Manchester City to be more challenging. Manchester City played well but struggled to score goals. I saw Haaland had some chances, but still missed. Obviously it was a good result for Liverpool to start before the 2022/2023 season started, but it was a disappointing result for Manchester City.

Man City have always been unlucky in the Community Shield, last year they lost to Leicester City 1-0 and now they also have to lose against Liverpool 3-1. Actually, Man City has better possession of the ball than Liverpool, it's just that they don't really have a good chance to score.
