With this defense system and available players for it, Manchester United will have a difficult season. Ten Hag can not change much if he only have not good defenders. Ronaldo is in as a replacement and there is only one goal difference now. I don't expect two more goals for Manchester United and 3 points for them. It is more realistic to find one more goal and get one point from Brighton.

With the score that Man United gets, there will be many evaluations that will certainly be carried out by Erik Ten Hag. The players look lost and like without a clear strategy. Both the front, center, and back lines are almost undirected. It turned out that Brighton was more prepared than we thought. In a closely guarded final minute, I was amazed to see the Brighton defender doing his job so well.

It's a bad day for Man United, they started the Premier League at home, but they can't get any points and Man United seems struggling to find a rhythm in the game. In the first half, their performance didn't look good and their defense looks fragile because of this they had to concede 2 goals. In the second half, their performance slightly improved but their formation still looks messed up as if they were playing without a strategy. While Brighton is playing pretty well, they always stick tight to the Man United players and it really interferes with the attacking efforts made by the Man United players.

Man Utd is in great need of a very good defensive midfielder that has a good defensive mind, at least one. For years, Man Utd hasn't had such, instead they kept leaving this role to Pogba who isn't a CDM and doesn't thrive as one and sub par players like Fred and McTominay. I don't see any reason why Eriksen will be playing upfront he's a midfielder for goodness sake, he's playing out of position today, also if maguire is not bench, Man Utd will have a long way to go this season, dude has not been on a fine run, always commiting, he ought to have gotten red card today he was just lucky

They need more than a defensive midfielder. Lisandro Martinez was a great addition but they need one more stopper so they can bench Maguire. They need a better right back than Dalot. Eriksen is not ready yet and I dont know if he will be ready at all after the incidents he had. Manchester United need to score goals and Eriksen don't fulfill this need. If you can't score you can't win games. Ronaldo's situation is still uncertain and he's clearly not happy there. So it's hard to expect performance from him. Realistically speaking, we shouldn't expect any success from Manchester United this season.

Liverpool was a suprise yesterday, but that ManU lost today is really unbelievable. Do they want to help Manchester City win the title right at the start of the season?  ManU in particular annoys me a lot, they played at home and simply don't learn anything from their mistakes in recent years. City will definitely get the win today and after the first week they already have a lead.

2 goals are very difficult for them to equalize or even reverse. But they are not completely over because there are still 45 minutes to the second.
But I didn't enjoy the games they played in pre-season. Really a difference I feel here. Apart from that, Brighton have a very impenetrable defense and their attacks are effective.

Brighton played pretty neatly at the back. they don't have much possession of the ball but the attack they build is very good.
Man United looks in a hurry to make a goal. yes, they did need to equalize soon but their possession and attacking arrangement was always broken by the Brighton defense. in the first half Man United didn't make many shots, they had to find a solution for this soon.

Brighton were absolutely solid in the first half they played brilliantly well even without Bissouma, Cucurella and Eriksen with Welbeck threatening Man Utd defence and got a well deserve win for the first time in old trafford, unfortunately it's the same old Man Utd no noticeable changes in the team, they have a long way to go with Maguire at the defense and the pair of Mctominay and Fred who are awfully poor in their midfield and the whole squad not hungry to win the match as well as not playing like a team, the introduction of Ronaldo changes the game this shows how important is Ronaldo to the team, they should try and keep him else the club will ensure another disappointing season.

I'm really disappointed with Manchester United's performance today. I was feeling confident about a good start for them but it was a terrible one instead. Being unable to defeat Brighton in Old Trafford is a sign for really troubling things in the future. But I'm still trying not be prejudiced too much as it was Erik ten Hag's first ever league match. He deserves many chances now as they gave to Solskjaer as well. If nothing changes at the end of the season then they must just figure a way out to bring back their good old times.

Yes, it's like nothing has changed at Manchester United at the start of the EPL match and also Ronaldo, because Ronaldo really needs a friend who understands his game who can continue to provide good passes to score goals.

Was a disappointing game for Ten Hag and Manchester United, it was as if am watching Manchester United game of last season, there was no improvement at all, especially the mentality of the players, now I guess ten Bag now know the job he has at hand, he needs to work on the players concentration and focus and for him to be successful in it, he needs time, and thank God the transfer window is still open he still needs to strengthen,his attack power is very low, Marcus Rashford has lost his desire and I don't see him becoming the player we hope he could become.another ten hag needs to know that Maguaire is a problem.

Manchester United squad is not serious this summer, imagine the unseriousness in today's game against Brighton. I was really upset with the Players performance especially Maguire and Mctominay. Although there were still several mistakes on the defense line, Like Shaw and Dalot always bringing the ball back wards. The only player that impacted the game was Eriksen, he's a creative Midfielder and did amazing crosses to his opponents half countless times but Jadon Sancho and Rashford couldn't break through and net a goal. United boss, Erik ten Hag still have more spaces in the team to cover with quality players.

Man City style of play is always fast, accurate, and precise. They performed optimally with a fresh formation of players. Throughout the first half minutes have led the game. Although no goals have been scored, if you continue to watch this kind of fast game, it does not rule out the possibility that Man City will undoubtedly win the match. All 3 goals could be attributed to defenders not being prepared and coordinating with each other. One decisive through ball and the defense was in shambles. Can't let that happen when you are a team with Champions League aspirations. Already the fans weren't happy with how things were going in the transfer window and the direction Manchester United is heading and now with the loss, it looks even worse. The only bright side is that Ronaldo played the match and that could be a sign that he'd stay for the season.

This is why I guess if pre-season cannot be the cornerstone for the official league game.  Seeing the first goal I was astonished by Maguire, he misplaced. Even on some brighton occasions he always lost to grab the ball. In addition in this game I saw the Man United game more interesting when Ronaldo came in. Lots of chances to make goals, but their finishing was poor. A poor debut for Ten Hag.

I remember that so many fans were taking from the result of pre season match as a data to predict the match in the EPL. that's totally unpredictable. Ten hag must think again about that. A very disappointing debut for Erik Ten Hag in his first match with Manchester United. He must not equate the atmosphere of the match in the premier league with the Eredivisie because in the premier league, small teams are able to provide tough resistance against big teams. even the line up for manchester united was unexpected because erik preferred to reserve Ronaldo in the first half and this of course would be an important point for their opponents to put pressure on manchester united in the first half and they managed to do quite well.

Man City lead 1-0 over West Ham for a while. I don't think there's any reason for Man City to lose this match because they totally dominated the game. Even though they played as guests, it didn't make it difficult for them to win possession. Well, once in a while West Ham can strike back but there is no chance that really threatens Man City. I think this match will be an easy win for Man City.

Even though manchester united immediately pressed brighton since the match started but brighton managed to get out of pressure and made a surprise with Pascal first goal in the 30th minute, brighton front line was coordinated well enough to be able to give a lot of surprises to the manchester united defense, I think the main mistake of Ten Hag in today match was to reserve Ronaldo in the first half and it was clearly seen when Ronaldo entered in the second half, Manchester game began to improve after Ronaldo became the motor of Manchester United's attack.

Like i knew it already, Haaland is going to make them proud, he is such that got the talent and skills needed to deliver, but so sad for West Ham on having this not upto expectation, they need to strive hard and do better than they had performed last season.
