I think it looks like West Ham have a very slight chance for even getting one point against Arsenal on paper. Because in addition to West Ham's horrible run so far, they have been really bad against Arsenal since the last time they defeated them. They played against each other in six matches in the league in this time period and Arsenal won five of them without losing any of all these matches. The statistics are all pointing out Arsenal's big dominance over West Ham in short.

In this season these teams are completely the opposite in the standings. Of course there has been a World Cup break but I still expect Arsenal to come back strong. Arteta would keep the discipline level the same hopefully and they should be getting a comfortable win even in the absence of Gabriel Jesus.

If Arsenal are unable to beat West Ham and have to lose points there then Manchester City will slowly shift Arsenal from the top of the standings, that's what I hope as a Manchester City supporter hoping they can win the English league this season  

I know West ham United is a good side but they have been in the best form this season. They have only won 4 times in 15 league games and it’s a very poor outcome. Arsenal are in a good form, irrespective of the World Cup, I think they’ve been playing some friendly games and I have seen flashes of their usual performance so I believe they will beat Westham United. Besides Arsenal will be playing in the Emirates, so I expect a positive result for the Gunners.

Although Arsenal has improved this season the last time they played with West Ham in June, it was not an easy match for the gunners. West Ham lost the game by 2-1 but they were outstanding in that game. It took set-piece goals from Holdings and Gabriel for Arsenal to win that game. West Ham even had more ball possession and a good number of shots on target.

David Moyes's side is currently 16th in the table and they would be doing everything possible to escape from relegation, hence they would do everything possible to get at least a draw from this match. And we also hope that Arsenal would keep playing good football in this second section of the premiership.

I think the premier League is very open, I don't think arsenal will win the league,I don't know why I feel so but I don't think they will still have momentum that they have before the break,I think Manchester city are the favourite to win the league, they have the qualities and depth in the squad, Tottenham Hotspur will improve,with Conte experience I think they will go far,then Manchester United I still don't know what they are made up,let's wait and see after the Ronaldo sagas I think things might be different.

Just watched the Liverpool vs Milan Dubai Super Cup match, it was quite good with the performance they played so they could win with a score of 4-1 I know this is not an important match but like a lot of the main squad playing it means there will be new motivation for Liverpool to ready to face the Premier League which will start 26/12 Klopp as a coach has prepared everything to do his best as long as the league will start later.

Now the favorite team isn't too bad. I'm looking forward to the match against Aston Villa, which has a new coach, Unai Emery, but I'm optimistic that it can be Liverpool's victory to continue to chase points that are too far from the top of the standings.

And I also agree with @hyudien that Newcastle United is going to surprise us in the transfer market this time. I am quite sure that they are going to bring in some big names to the squad. A reason for that is they are currently in the third position on the table. This is a big chance for them to prove that they are also a worthy competitor in the English Premier League. But staying in the third position is obviously not going to be easy at all. And honestly, I have my doubts that they will actually be able to do that.

This season Newcastle looks serious and chasing bigger targets. Last season did not really show its existence, but seeing the progress they are currently running in the Premier League and being able to steal starts from giant clubs makes this rich club more confident that it is taking advantage of the situation with its ideal position that needs to be strengthened in terms of players. Qualified finance is clearly a strong main capital to encourage the Newcastle club to maintain its position.

But keep in mind, Newcastle stability in the standings may not last long either, there are Man United and of course, Liverpool who are in a transition period to optimize their players by bringing in new players.

Newcastle United is currently in the third position on the table. Now, if they were not in the third position on the table, I don’t think they would have taken this so seriously. But once they got the taste of being on the top of the table, they are going to try to hold onto that position. I am quite sure that they are going to try to bring in new players and improve the squad so that they can finish in the top four at least.

It is not going to be easy. Because Tottenham, Manchester United, and Liverpool are right behind them. There is going to be high competition between these teams for the top four spots in the English Premier League. So nothing is certain for Newcastle United right now. But I would like to see Newcastle United Try their best to stay in the third position.

Yes indeed, Liverpool were able to win in the last two matches before yesterday's break but the fact is, Unai Emery was also able to make two consecutive wins before yesterday's break for Aston Villa when they played against Manchester United and Brighton in the Premier League. With the same result with two consecutive wins, I don't think Liverpool will be easy to beat Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Even if I consider their head to head results obviously Liverpool are better, but I'm still not completely sure about Liverpool.

Arsenal is currently participating in Emirate Cup in Dubai and brilliantly performing well thus majority of their players are fit and ready to play against West Ham and I am sure the other players who represented their country in the World Cup must have joined their colleagues, Partey played against AC Milan except injured Gabriel Jesus who will be on sideline for three months, Arsenal will continue with their fine form when the league resume and I am optimistic that they will continue with their winning streak against West Ham who  had been struggling in the league currently placed sixteenth on the table.

Well not an excuse but manager often tries to rest players who he doesn't think can give their 100%. Maybe they can be switched on but by playing them they know their risk and they might lose a player for an entire season if injury is a bad one.

Yeah I am confident about their form. One thing that I like the most is the chemistry that Arteta is building inside the squad. Its not only the regular squad or senior players, but young players are getting involved too. I like the way this is headed. No wonder Ronaldo praised Arteta and rooted Arsenal for this season in Piers Morgan interview.
