Yeah, thinking of the same of removing the fans so that I can at least be able to better stack them.

Wondering the new Firmware would do anything to improve (on not) the Watts usage ?

This has nothing to do with GAW, but if anyone wants to see an actual photo of a Blizzard, check it out.

Thanks for the pics.

*I better get bigger pockets, cause that's not "Pocket Size".  Shocked

Can one remove that FAN that is like placed in such a bad spot (stacking wise), how do you stack these ?

I'm sure I'll be taking those fans off (gridseed 2.0). I'm thinking of putting several on their side and hitting them with one exterior (quiet) fan.

That might work if they're not stacked too high. We are talking about ~35w of heat that needs to be dissipated so at the least you're going to need a fan blowing on them. GridSeed's are only using about 6-8w of heat; huge difference.

I'm just going to leave the fans on mine; longer lifespan for the components on the pcb, happy chips and higher clock speed.

With the opens ends, stacking these with a couple push/pull fans on the sides might be fairly effective.

Instead of stacking, why not buy a Black Widow, saves you some stacking and will surely save you quite some space.

If you have that type of cash it makes sense to purchase something with more hashing power, but if you are easing into this with what you got (remember for some it's a hobby) then you will start off with a few and work your way up to a more powerful miner... issue here that now its used equipment and it won't be that easy to replace.

But I do agree, purchasing a bigger box from start makes a ton more sense.

Guys,

Have spent the day emailing back and forth with Gaw Support and I couldn't be more pleased. I have sent 4 emails and have received 4 detailed responses most within a few minutes. Luke and the GAW team have been great and look forward to getting my miner a few days early. Will order from GAW Miners again. (Price Drop, Early Shipping, and Increased Hash Power) What more can I say.
Care to expand on "Price Drop, Early Shipping, and Increased Hash Power.  Was this made for you specially due to a problem you were having.  Emphasis on Price Drop. Roll Eyes

Sure, did GAW not drop the prices last week on all hardware and offer store credit/refunds to everyone that purchased before the drop. I believe that GAW posted today that units had already begun shipping and we could except them between Tuesday-Thursday (release date was May 26th). Firmware update that is suppose to increase hash rate above advertised numbers.

I didn't get anything extra from GAW and I did have issues. I am a customer that originally purchased through PayPal. Didn't receive anything but my money back and I elected to reorder my falcon.
no drop or credit for hosted units even though Josh said initially that would apply to boh types...that did upset me some

edit:
problem solved and customer very happy now  Grin

Hi, there was a drop and credit issued. If you did not get it (sounds like you did not), please pm with your order number and I will take care of it Wink

Great I got the tplink ones.

I looked on zenminers website but didn't see what the connection requirements are. Any one have any ideas what ports are needed to connect and run your miners on their cloud??

They'll start piling in our our doorsteps Monday morning and trickling in throughout the week. I don't know of anyone in the U.S. that ships on Sunday.

Gooooood Morning everyone!!! I know nothing can quite fill in the void while you wait for your GAW Miner (we feel the same way). But, I have the next best thing! Here are some pictures from the packing process.

PS. we even got the company that makes all the packaging for Apple to make the boxes that your new GAW Miner comes in. Just because we love you Smiley

I must say, those are sexy looking. I'm glad you guys moved the PCI-E connector to the rear of the miner. It made no sense having it in the front.

Can't wait for my hosted war machines to come online!
