This world cup I am expecting an underdog to lift the trophy. In the history of the World Cup competition no Asian or African country have won the world cup. Qatar 2022 might be different. I expect countries in Africa or Asia to win the world cup because they are coming to this competition with alot of experience and quality squad. Although these teams might be comparable with thier counterparts in Europe and America, but when Mother Luck is by thier side, anything is possible. Please watch out for teams in especially Africa.

I remember very well that in the last world olympics several totally unknown teams and athletes even took Olympic medals, so I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened at the Fifa World Cup.
In all categories, people's sports skills are very balanced.
I'm Brazilian and I support my country's team, but it would be very interesting to see an African country lift the cup and give a moral lesson to FIFA and to big teams that think they are the favourites.

I think the 2022 world cup will be the last world cup for some football stars, not only messi and ronaldo but pepe, modric, di maria and maybe even lewandowski and muller also have the potential to retire, some of these players are now entering the end of their careers in the national team and of course the regeneration of players will make countries competing in the world cup better than continuing to rely on old players, indeed their performance in playing is still very good but sometimes age is an important factor to be considered by national coaches.

Dont know if Messi will be retire after that world cup , but ronaldo, pepe and modric they will be to 80% !
About Müller its maybe the same as Messi and he will be making a few years till its the time for say good by to the National Team.
The old players are needed sometimes for the team spirit.

For a long time, the team which has been winning the world cup is getting knocked out from the group stage of the world cup and I wonder if that might happen with France this time.
I don't think that is going to happen because France is a very strong team but I am not going to be very surprised if that happens either .

I can't imagine a world cup with the absence of some big names in world football,,,the likes of Argentina's Angel Di'Maria,,, Portugal's Cristiano RONALDO,, Argentine's Leo MESSI Brazilians Marcelo,,French's Karim BENZEMA,, Polish Robert Lewandoski,, Uruguay's Luis Suarez and Edison  Cavani,, German's Manuel Nuer,, and so many others that will be calling it an end to thier international careers they will be missed but the good thing is that upcoming stars are always available to replace them and that will be advantage to the different national teams that will be affected.. but surely they will be missed... It's gonna be an interesting world cup because this players that might be playing their last world'cup will want to call it an end to their international career with at least a successful world cup outing..

By the way, today Roberto Baggio spoke on this topic, saying that such a format is insane and the European champion should automatically qualify for the World Championship. I tend to agree with him, there is 100 percent logic in this.

I agree that the European champion and other continents champions should directly go to world championship, but at the same time do we really want a team that was good enough to win Europe, but then became not so good and just be there for everyone to beat them?

I want them to fight for it and earn it, otherwise what is the point of it? This is why I both agree and disagree, I agree that one achievement should be rewarded, but I think maybe something other than entry to WC right away? Maybe something else, like maybe easier path to WC? Or better things for next Europe one? I do not know, but direct entry to WC shouldn't be it, because one team could get worse between Europe win to WC entry.

Yes this really surprised us how could the top team beat with a big score or the ability of the Belgium players has faded or just an unlucky day

I think this may be the saddest World Cup for many around the world. Because a lot of soccer superstar that we have come to love over the years would be wearing their national team jersey for the last time on a World Cup stage, players like leonel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni kross, Sergio Ramos, Neymar, busquet, Alba and many more the list is long, But so far Argentina matches has had the most sort out ticket by fans so far this means that Messi would be missed the most.

This World Cup edition become last time for several star player like Cristiano Ronaldo until Lionel Messi. Fans expected both them could reach until final, between Portugal and Argentina not really interested for discussing because I think noth countries can't achieve good result on World Cup. But very sad will have between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will announce retired from national country after this World Cup edition ended. I really sad with my national country Italy failed reach to World Cup this time.

The European continent is where you have the most competitive and famous leagues, so it is natural that they also have the best teams for this world, but unfortunately Europe has lost against the American continent when it comes to having great players in the main team, an example of this is that argentina and brazil, which are two strong teams, have more than 70% of their players playing in europe and when it comes their turn to play against a european country they easily win

There is no nation other than italy back in 1934 & 1938 also brazil back in 1958 & 1962 who managed to win the world cup in two editions consecutively.

I can't believe that they have announced that they will retire after competing in the World Cup for their last edition match, we have lost 2 star players at once after the World Cup match ended, I hope they present spectacular matches for each country until the final match.

I think every referee should give at least 5-10% precedence and advantage to Ukraine for what they are suffering right now in their country although the referee should be 100% neutral no matter what.Based on this fact and the fact that the recent games of both teams showed Ukraine as somewhat better compared to the last game of Wales it looks like Ukraine will make it to the World Cup.

I know Wales has Bale which is clearly the best player in this game and he may be decisive to give Wales the victory,all the team from what I see is focused on playing to assist Bale and if they manage to do so,there is nothing stopping Wales from going to the World Cup.

Yes, the result was honestly unexpected. But to be honest I don't think anyone cares about this match because it is basically a friendly match. Denmark actually tried their best to win this match and hats off to them. They actually played really well and also to my surprise defended very well. I really think France actually took the match very likely and it is very evident when we look at how they have played in that match.

I really don't know which team is better but I don't think Ukraine is in the best spot right now. And the same thing can be said for Wales. But seeing the recent matches I also think that Ukraine might actually end up winning this match. I expected Wales to win their last match but they did not perform as I expected. And that has certainly brought down my confidence in them. So the thing is I don't know about Ukraine but I don't trust Wales.
