PSV really lost points surprisingly. No one expected them to lose points in this match. Willem II really gave them a hard time. Even though they were not effective throughout the match, they managed to defend it well after scoring the goal. The important thing is to leave the match with a point and they managed to get a point. Ajax now has an advantage over PSV in the Dutch League.

I'm beginning to observe relatively too many inconsistencies with PSV, I'm hoping it doesn't affect their chances at the title this season. Against Willem II I expected  a probable epic victory just like they have done with others earlier,  where they had their victory by three to five goals difference but then it was different in this case,  Ajax is been pushing really hard and maintaining some good consistency in their last games and so it's possible if they maintain that pase carrying it on till the end of the season.

This is just a system error, and if we look at other leagues, of course the goal difference still affects the standings when there are two or more clubs that have the same number of points.

From what I see from the standings table, Ajax Amsterdam has more games left compared to PSV Eindhoven, so maybe this is why Ajax is in first place even though PSV has a very large goal difference. But I don't know because on the other hand we also can't be sure that Ajax will be able to get three full points in their 22nd match which will face Heraxles.

I dont re-check but this pass quite often with some sites, who dont take so serious their stats, and they put a default tiebreak, so maybe they took the H2H and not the goal diference.

I check now in other sites and they also show Ajax above PSV but in the tiebreak they said is for goal diference, pretty strange.

After seeing your post, I immediately did a search, initially I thought that Google made a mistake because some time ago there was also an error in calculating our currency exchange rate there. But it turns out it wasn't an error, you guys can check it in this news.

It seems that the calculation in the Eredivisie after the equal points isn't from GD first, but the number of losses. Look, PSV has 3 losses while Ajax Amsterdam only 2. Anyone who follows the Eredivisie, can explain this?

That's bizarre.
It does not look like a Google error, as even the the official knvb (Dutch football association) website shows Ajax as a leader:

I cannot find any official information regarding tiebreaker rules, but all the unofficial sources (including AI tools like chatGPT/DeepSeek/Mistral) say it's decided by the goal difference in the first place. Weird.

Today we have a very interesting game, I'm talking about the game between PSV Eindhoven and FC Utrecht. PSV is in 2nd place while FC Utrecht is in 3rd place. These two teams have something in common: both in the last 5 games they had only 1 win, 1 loss and 3 draws. The risk of seeing another draw is very high and I'm sincerely rooting for PSV to lose or draw because that way they would lose points and give more space to Ajax.

Its not only a google error i visited some other sports news pages and app to follow results and they also are showing that, Ajax above PSV without a reason. The only we can think is the admin of the datacenter is a fan of Ajax  .

Yeah this is really awkward. 



Normally as long as these two teams haven't played against each other twice, the ranking must be according to goal difference. Even if they played the tiebreaker rule in the Eredivisie is still score difference first by the way.

Therefore I agree there is something wrong with this. PSV are literally smashing Ajax when it comes to this statistics as you can see.

Ajax is currently rightly at the top because Eredivisie is clearly indicating in case of equal point's tiebreaker could be match between two teams and right now Ajax is having advantage as they beat PSV in Eredivisie first leg game at home second leg game is still to come which will surely going to be good impact on league table as well because now PSV will host Ajax at home.

Until now Ajax played 21 games while PSV is having 22 this is another advantage for the Ajax which is leading league table now PSV needed to be improved their performance with also they have to wait for poor run from Ajax for having their chances back into title race which are not looking good with their current level of form.
Today PSV going to host Utrecht and tomorrow Ajax going to host Heracles which is also on good run in last few games and looking for coming out of danger zone.

Well, my only problem is that they made me lose my bets today otherwise, I have no other reason to support them in this trying time because they humiliated Liverpool when we played them in our last UCL fixture.

I'm not too surprised at Feyenoord draw but it was unexpected. The most surprising game for me was seeing PSV draw their 3rd consecutive games  which means their title race progression have slowed down in recent weeks as Ajax has done a good job to win all their last 5 games and put pressure on PSV.

This looks strange,  literally by the table PSV should  be ahead as they actually have even more goal difference but then they are at the second position which I'm trying to get an explanation for that and know where the mistake is coming from. I hope PSV gets back on track winning with points so that it becomes even more clearer because this which we are seeing we cannot place an explanation to it at the moment.

NAC isn't that bad after all so getting a point from Feyenoord is not an impossible mission, especially that Feyenoord is not getting positive results lately. It is indeed the shock of seeing PSV Eindhoven missing their performance and letting potentially Ajax Amsterdam to move in front of them! The remaining matches might give Ajax 5 points difference in the end

At least PSV is now ahead because of the 1 additional points from the draw against Utrecht and this is good result because Utrecht could have beaten PSV yesterday but yes we know PSV still has good defense.
But Ajax will can take over the top of the standings again and that is more absolute because of more points, two match are the key for Ajax to be on top of the standings and we will see today Ajax can definitely bring 3 points in full considering their opponent is Heracles team that really does not have the strength to be able to match Ajax.

I lost big funds due to this match because goalless draw was the last option I expected from that match. My bets were on both side to score at least one goal each and on total of at least three goals. None of these came through instead none of the teams scored and that was how many money vanished because I played the match in all the bets I made this weekend. I had the thought that Feyenoord would use the motivation from the champions league beating of AC Milan to play the match. Little did I know that they will resort to resting after that match they gave up so many things to play.

Just as I thought, PSV lost points, as I said in my last comment, both teams had a lot in common, they had only 1 win in the last 5 games, they had 1 loss in the last 5 games and the most important thing is that they had 3 draws. So the risk of seeing another draw was very high and that's what happened, they drew. PSV's next opponent is doing well in the last few games, maybe they can also make PSV lose points again. these are excellent opportunities for Ajax to top the table with a big points advantage, I put ajax in my parlay today

Second half of this season and start of 2025 is clearly not good for the top teams in Eredivisie they are inconsistent which is hurting them badly only Ajax is able to have good results with all wins which now giving them good chance of winning title which could be big success for them as in early rounds of this season no one expecting change like this.

Third spot race is wide open while top two are going just for PSV and Ajax which currently have 1 point difference with 2 matches in hand of Ajax due to their amazing consistency and winning streak from start of 2025 now Utrecht, Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar on same level who is having better tempo for staying it's going to be interesting because now just 12 rounds left in current season and heat is going to on full for top spots.
