Francis Ngannou though will have to wait on who he is going to face next.

Time will come but probably not happening this year, he made a good impression, sure the fans will watch his fight and promoters would not have a problem promoting the fight.

Many including myself want another boxing match for Francis Ngannou for sure after that incredible showcase that he had against Tyson Fury that is, that is why I would like Francis Ngannou to fight Tyson Fury again or maybe even other heavyweight boxers like Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, or maybe Oleksandr Usyk will do

For me, I think Francis Ngannou will still fight whoever boxer that wants to fight him and he knows that it is a big money to fight in the boxing ring so for sure he will keep on fighting boxers for sure, while PFL will be readying him to fight

That might be the case as it is already reported that it will be a double header fight,

- Fury vs Usyk
- Joshua vs Wilder

Bust since Fury is not going to be physically available on December it changes the picture of the undercard as well. There were reports that Wilder wanted to go to England to chase Joshua, not sure if he did continue with this plan. Seems he didn't go though as this reports resurfaces that they are going to fight a different opponent this December as tune up fight. Hopefully they will be ready in February and should come out unscathed against Otto Wallin and Joseph Parker.

Well, the fight between Tyson Fury VS Oleksandr Usyk was called off for the time being because Tyson Fury was in bad shape because of his fight against Francis Ngannou sure Tyson Fury didn't expect that he would have a hard time against Francis Ngannou sure accepting the December fight against Oleksandr Usyk because he was underestimating Ngannou which is his bad take because he got an unexpected result,  well Tyson Fury's fight was move to an unannounced date in February 2024 for the Unification of WBA belt,

Yeah, he really did underestimate Ngannou, regardless of what Fury says after the fight, we all know that it is not true. He said that the did train hard, but it was obvious that he was out of shape and there's no strategy in his corner. They just want to survived in this fight and this is exactly why the score is very close and very controversial. So this could be a blessing for Usyk as he can continue to train but not overextend to the point that he will overtrain.

So February 2024 might be just right for Usyk and all the pressure now is on the shoulder of Fury as this is the first time that we have seen him vulnerable in a fight and seemingly doesn't want to engage. And it might carry this kind of mental state when he fought Usyk this February.

@Jating. However, there is a skeptical way of thinking about this. What if Tyson Fury only made it appear that he was weak vs. Francis Ngannou? It might also be that Tyson Fury did not want to overtrain and have a higher risk of injury because he wants to prepare for the heavyweight championship unification vs. Usyk. The Ukrainian should not make the mistake of reducing his training schedule.

It might also be that Tyson Fury did not want to overtrain and have a higher risk of injury because he wants to prepare for the heavyweight championship unification vs. Usyk. But if you look at Fury fighting style and preparation in facing Ngannou, it is really serious and the fight is quite an important fight for Fury, if he really loses to Ngannou it will be very embarrassing and it will even be bad day for Fury because he has the nickname of an invincible monster.
Moreover, the fight for the heavyweight championship between Fury and Usyk had to be postponed because of the fight between Fury vs Ngannou, so it can be concluded that both of them are also very important fights.
Even though this fight caused lot of controversy because Ngannou should have won, we were quite amazed by what Ngannou showed in his first debut against heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

But there is something interesting where Usyk tweeted on Instagram that he didn't want Fury to get injured when fighting Ngannou because he needed Fury for his fight schedule.

And that's valid, we can see also from that angle but then what we witness give us all the opinions and from what we see Fury is weak and Ngannou got this one from him, though maybe it will be an opinion base and from those who fully understand how judges score the fight, and it's already over and Fury will focus now with his next possible fight, while Ngannou will go on and also prepare for whatever the next stage of his carreer.

If you look at Fury's history, his past fights, you will not see that he wanted to appear weak, he is already assure of a win in the first fight against Wilder, until that last round wherein he got knock down and it was just a miracle that he was able to get up and finished the fight and then it ends in a controversial draw. In the second fight, he didn't look weak, and on the contrary he is the more aggressive between the two.

So we should throw that out of the window because I don't think that any fighter wanted to appear weak as his opponent will go and try to get your head off and we was almost upset by Francis. Definitely, Usyk said that he won't made that mistake and underestimate Fury because he look very different against Ngannou.

Does appearing weak imply that he didn't take the fight seriously? While the bout against Ngannou may not have been a championship fight, it was an official one. Losing would mean a blemish on Fury's record. Therefore, let's not assume he didn't train hard for Ngannou; that would be disrespectful to a UFC professional transitioning to boxing who came close to defeating Fury. We need to move past that and see how Fury matches up against Usyk. Personally, I still think Fury would come out on top, and I believe the public shares the same sentiment.

For me, I think Francis Ngannou will still fight whoever boxer that wants to fight him and he knows that it is a big money to fight in the boxing ring so for sure he will keep on fighting boxers for sure, while PFL will be readying him to fight
And he needs to get into a fight because he is getting older. I know that this is his desire, to be a boxer but when he came in he ain't young, not in his prime, and he won't be able to do much if he waits longer. At 37 years old, this is where most sports athletes are near their retirement because they can feel the burden of aging.
Whoever is promoting him, they need to find him a fight be it on the low ranks of the heavyweight or someone in the UFC who is ready to fight in a boxing ring.
But this is somehow surprising.
https://www.bbc.com/sport/boxing/67303165
Francis Ngannou fight an option for Anthony Joshua, says Eddie Hearn
Quote
"As we start to plan AJ's next six to 12 months we just want to know if that is an option," Hearn told the BBC.

"We could have that event in Saudi Arabia or other countries in the Middle East. Africa sounds incredible - can they come up with the money to do it? I don't know.

"All of a sudden that fight between two giants, they're carved out of stone, it becomes a massive fight. We're definitely willing to consider it."

UFC Ngannou fans plus Joshua boxing fans, I believe this could also become a big one just like the Tyson Fury fight. I mean, most eyes in heavyweight boxing are in Ngannou now because they want to see more of him. I bet even the boxing fans are also looking forward to watching him in the boxing ring once more.

Wilder is also interested in the same crossover fight. This is somehow exciting, and I think they should hurry and make this happen while it's still hot. They don't want the hype slowing down or it will be a problem selling tickets and PPV.

Wow, I didn't know that fight was official, I was sure it was organised as an exhibition.
Anyhow, that's the beauty of all fight sports, if often doesn't go the way everyone expects. When you have two strong guys, both with 2 hands and both knowing how to throw a punch - anything can happen. It actually can end up pretty well for Fury. After the fight with Usyk, he could fight Francis again, maybe for even bigger purse. And if he wins decisively, no one will even remember the first fight.
Lets face it, apart from Usyk, there aren't too many exciting names in heavyweight boxing at the moment, so rematch with Francis makes sense. It won't be for the belt though.

I really like Oleksandr Usyk here than what Tyson Fury was showing in his fight against Francis Ngannou actually I bet for Ngannou on this one, but I lost the bet and I had really risked this one as I knew that Tyson Fury could win here but I never really expected this to happen as for sure Francis Ngannou have surely outperform Tyson Fury and could win this one fight, but for sure it was the controversial decision of the judge that got Tyson Fury out on having a lost to an MMA fighter and that is Francis Ngannou,

For sure Francis Ngannou has shown that he deserves to fight again that is why a promoter like Eddie Hearn has another big fight for Francis Ngannou for they are planning on who Francis Ngannou could fight any boxer for sure that wants an exhibition fight against him,

Actually there are, Joshua and Wilder are still a good name in the Heavyweight division. However, since Usyk and Fury have defeated this fighter, they are the top two right now and they have all the belts and will be fighting to unify the division. As for Ngannou, his name just pop up because of his performance against Tyson Fury, if there will be an award for best performance in a losing fight, Francis could be the winner. No one really expect to win, much more to knock down Fury. But the did and almost win the fight. So he has a lot of options in the future, but he need to wait as Joshua vs Wilder is also scheduled in the future. They will have their tune up fight this December and if everything goes as plan, Fury vs Usyk and Joshua vs Wilder will be in the same card February in Saudi Arabia.

How can we know if Tyson Fury's training was very serious for Francis Ngannou? Everything they show on video is to hype and market the fight to make it a certainty that we would be the payperviews and for those who want to go to the event, the tickets. Fury clearly underestimated the Cameroonian born MMA fighter. He might have thought that it would be something similar to Conor where Conor became very tired on round 10. Ngannou appears to have fixed this weakness after his loss in the UFC against Stipe.

@danherbias07. Joshua might not be a good fight for Francis after Joshua's loss to Usyk where he was cheering hiphip hooray hehee. The Bronze Bomber might be a better pairing and it would be more thrilling because Francis and Wilder can win with a knockout.

This is exactly what my thoughts are. The fact that Fury was a little out of shape tells us something that he might have not been very serious with his training. Despite the fact that Ngannou had an experience with boxing not professionally but it's still in line with his main sport.
One of the main problem with the MMA fighters fighting against a pro boxer in a boxing match is that, they tend to easily gas out at a later round, yeah just like what we've seen in the McGregor boxing fight. Ngannou turns out to be so aware of that common mistake.
Now, I have this crazy thoughts that they made such controversial decision deliberately so they can once again sell more in the 2nd match.

For sure Tyson Fury might have won that fight whether he was saved by the judges or the count of the shots might have been accurate as scoring with MMA and boxing are pretty much different so there is no given accuracy to count the score for boxing so for sure I may be wrong that Francis Ngannou won the fight but for sure he has put up a fight against Tyson Fury that is for sure and many are indeed intrigued because of this that is why they want to see Francis Ngannou fight again in a boxing match

Not if the fighters say something about it then that will be the time that we will know that they didn't train for their fight for sure but you are right Tyson Fury did underestimate Francis Ngannou but we can never tell if he did something to research Ngannou or something but for sure Francis Ngannou got his camp and they did a full research on Tyson Fury for sure that is why Francis Ngannou knows when he will strike and for sure the weakness of Tyson Fury got exposed,

Joshua vs. Wilder is an enticing matchup, but being on the undercard of Fury vs. Usyk would benefit them more. Now, they might just be adding some wins to their records, and people will continue to talk about them. Of course, they should win their respective fights for this significant matchup to happen.

Although Fury vs. Usyk is the main event, these two fighters were once champions, so people will also be interested in watching them.

Some big fights lack interesting undercard fights, but this one is a sure double-header.

Of course, it will be block buster card, I don't know, but I can't remember a fight in HW that has the top 1-4 in the same card. So this could make history as well, and definitely with the Saudi's beginning to be the biggest backer of boxing right now because of their old rich nation, it make sense that promoters like Eddie Hearn and Bob Arum are going in the Middle East and having a good connections to the billionaires in that country.

So it's a wise decision and we should expect this fight to be happening next year. Fury vs Usyk is on February. But it was reported that AJ and Wilder will have a tune up fight first just to make them busy as originally the fight is scheduled this December.

~snip~
We could see it when the fight started and after Fury received a punch that made him fall, it showed that he was trying to remain stable and could survive until the end round, even though Ngannou really dominated the fight but Fury was able to maintain it.
Yes, I also know that the excitement before the fight is done just to create hype and make the fight look really interesting in order to produce busy broadcast and also massive ticket sales, but it not just about the money, it about the name that will be able to gives bad view if he loses to Ngannou.

But it true what you said that almost the same as Conor, only he looks quite better than Conor appearance.

And talking about the IBF stripping him of the belt, this is what Crawford has to say,

Quote
“Man, f--- the IBF! That’s what I say,” Crawford told a group of reporters after the Shakur Stevenson-Edwin De Los Santos weigh-in at T-Mobile Arena. “You know what I mean? F--- the IBF and they organization. I don’t give a f--- about, you know what I mean, the IBF. They stripped me damn near 2½ months after [I won] my title, not knowing what was gonna happen next. But it’s cool, though. I’m not mad at ‘em, you know? I got what I needed, and that was, you know, undisputed. And the rest is history. You know, I don’t care about none of that.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/crawford-f-ibf-they-stripped-me-damn-near-2-months-i-won-my-title--179278

Yeah, I think I will agree with what he says, he already accomplished what he needs to be done, to become undisputed at 147 lbs and the first man to do in 2 different weight class, 140 lbs and 147 lbs.

And if they elevated Ennis as their regular champion, still there is the a big question whether he can call himself the true champion as he hasn't face the best in the division, either Spence or Crawford.

^^ Perhaps the one reason why they stripped of him is that because he made his opinion public that he doesn't want to fight Ennis. It's not that they is afraid of what, but it doesn't make sense for him if we are talking about financial gains.

And it's true, Spence activated the rematch clause, and the IBF are well aware of it, but why they suddenly stripped him of his belt when he will have a upcoming rematch. Maybe it will be at 147 lbs or maybe not, but still they should have waited a bit for the fight to take shape.

@Yaunfitda, @btc_angela. This is a head scratching move by the IBF to give their approval for a unification and when it was unified the IBF removes the championship from the boxer who had won the IBF title.

Also, Bud Crawford might have expressed that he will not fight Boots Ennis, however, does Bud have an opponent for his next fight already? The IBF should have waited, I reckon.
