GAW Miners is a US-based company that used to sell Gridseed and Zeus Scrypt miners and hosting services, and has now moved to providing "cloud mining" in the form of The Hashlet.

Their pricing and service is on par or better than most vendors in this industry, however they were deleting unfavorable customer feedback from their bitcointalk threads, which prompted me to post this. Feel free to add your feedback, positive or otherwise. GAW is welcome to comment. I will not delete anything from this thread. Thank you.

I was THIS close to leaving positive feedback here... and yet - my miners came without USB cables as was promised here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=520191.msg5773309#msg5773309

Seriously guys, you need to step up with the quality of your service. I'm going to lose nearly a week of mining for a simple $10 cock up on your part, since I have to order cables now and they won't come until next Monday or Tuesday (or I have to pay ~$50 to have them shipped overnight). Had I known you are not going to ship them I would have ordered in advance and would be hashing tonight, power cables and everything done and ready. Not cool.

Personal message from GAW (after the above was deleted):

Hi, before you post your complaints, it would be great to have the opportunity to look in to this. What is your order number?

Fair enough. My reply:

I have already contacted you via website so you'll have an opportunity to look into this. I'm not interested in having my forum identity tied to personal order information.

I don't appreciate you deleting posts you don't like. You're welcome to visit the thread I started and respond publicly. I won't delete anything.

When I first read this I thought that it must be an isolated incident.  I ordered two gridseeds and they shipped immediately.

Something strange is going on with GAW though.  They posted that they had Gridseed blades for sale yesterday.  The removed all mention of them from their forum posts and website.  I asked why this was and my message was deleted.  Why are they deleting so many messages?  This is not the behavior of a legitimate vendor.

To be fair, I have so far received almost everything I ordered except the USB cables mentioned in my post above. But they have not met any of their self-imposed deadlines, all my shipments were significantly late, even hosted miners, which didn't need to be shipped still were late to come online by a few days. Customer service has responded to 1 of 4 support tickets, although they have no problems sending me marketing e-mails. And now deleting their own promotion from the forums... (it's back on again: http://www.gawminers.com/5200-kh-s-gridseed-asic-blade-miner/ )

Mine shipped the same day and I got them in four days.  Mine came with both the USB cables and the power pigtails.  It was a bit worrying to see them deleting posts, but their explanation holds water https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=529093.msg6064365#msg6064365

Don't wait for refunds, if they do it, takes a lot of time and exist many users waiting for it...

This thread was useful for solve someone problems. Finally, the refund take place via PayPal and BTC (I paid with both). I get it this problem with Alex02 (when he wasn't part of the GAW Miners team, yet), but GAW Miners help me with the solution.

Thanks for your time and work.

Good Morning,

Due to the extremely high demand of of orders, there have been delays in shipping.

In all cases, we try contacting the customer to let them know. We have always stood by our "We deliver in 5 day business days or we pay for your mining time Guarantee" And offer a credit typically twice the amount they would have made for the missed mining time.

This is a policy Our customers have been extremely happy with, that they can not get anywhere else. Over half our orders are repeat customers Smiley

Next week we will have double the inventory, and we will be able to ship same day again!

I have yet to receive the order I placed on April 9th #1911. I was emailed about the credit card issue and provided a free single as compensation but that has not arrived either. I also placed an order for a blade that has yet to be fulfilled. This is after my first blade order was cancelled #2272. How much longer for order #2562? Will I get any of the hardware I ordered before the end of the month? This is getting ridiculous.

update.......

Within 48 hours I was finally provided the correct tracking number for order #1911 and all is right in the world again. Order #2562 is marked as completed but the tracking number doesn't work. Hopefully the tracking number is just mixed up again? I'm not as concerned about it as before since according to my PM conversations the order has shipped. I was also offered store credit for lost mining time. Thank you GAWminers for quelling my fiery consumer rage. The ASIC world has not been kind to me in the past.

I have had good experiences with single units. Shipped fast and included USB and power pigtails. The last 2 singles I bought came with actual power supplies so I was blown away.

I decided to try a hosted miner and I am beginning to see why it is free.
My experience so far with it is that it is not stable at all. Lost a whole day of mining due to support tickets going unanswered.

I have also not had the best experiences with the support staff.

Found out the hard way you have to be invited to access the remote UI for the hosted miners.

Just keeps getting better.

Guys - Is anyone with the hosted miners having an issue getting in to manage their rig? I was set up Saturday morning at 1AM, and I haven't received a welcome email (or confirmation that my rig was up and running) nor do I have an email telling me how to access my rig to move it to a different pool. I've read all kinds of posts about miners moving their rigs around themselves, and with a lot of scrypt coins peaking right now, I'm missing out on big profits while they aren't responding to pool move requests, calls, etc.

They are answering calls (their receptionist) and taking messages, but my responses to my ticket and emails are going unanswered.

Please let me know here or via PM.

Thanks,
r00tdude

P.S. I haven't had my post modded yet on the main thread... all I'm waiting for is control of my hosted miners - but that is three days waiting so far, and no response to my messages, VM, etc.

The haze has finally cleared. I received my first order #1911 today with the free miner. Thank you for that. To compensate for lost mining time I am to be provided store credit. GAWMiner made it right. Kudos

I had issues with them but they did resolve them. They went above and beyond what I expected. Patience is a virtue.

I have ordered a few days ago but have not been able to receive a phone call back or reply

I can understand high demand and a delay. Waiting multiple days for a response to hope that there will actually be a compensation is already as difficult as hoping your order gets shipped or you get what you pay for.

Below is my thread which was deleted from their moderated thread.  I did receive a PM from GAW stating they will look into the order and will update it as it goes.

I have been a little frustrated with GAW so far.  I decided to get me a Blade and figured with the good things I had heard about GAW, would order from them.  When I saw the promo to get a Blade and get a free mini, figured it was good time to order.

4/22 - Placed order.  Got shipping notice with USPS tracking # later that day.  Was really impressed they were that quick.  Was happy that I would have it running by the weekend.

4/23 and 4/24 - No history showing still on tracking #, so was obviously not shipped yet.  Sent support ticket asking when it would actually ship.

4/25 - Received response from support ticket saying it was USPS's fault, that they reuse tracking #'s.  Which isn't the problem, there was no activity showing on it, not old activity.  Then turned around and said it would be shipping that day (4/25).  On this day, I also receive another tracking email notification saying that my order has shipped via DHL, so now I am really confused.  I check the DHL tracking # and it shows a package that is in Hong Kong and is being delivered to Austin, TX.  Which is even more confusing since I am in NC.

Which brings me to today (4/28) and I still have no clue where my order is coming from and who is actually delivering it.  USPS tracking # still shows no activity and the DHL tracking # shows it out for delivery in Austin, TX.

4/28 Afternoon Update:  DHL just delivered the Blade and PSU/Cables.  Why DHL tracking showed the order in Austin, TX, I have no clue but that is not GAW's fault.  So it is here, just waiting on the Gridseed Mini and power adapter.  Going to guess that is what is supposed to be coming from USPS, just hasn't been shipped yet (even though I received tracking number on the 22nd).  So overall delivery time for the Blade is within the 5 business day time GAW promises.  They caused a lot of confusion though by saying the entire order has shipped via USPS, when actually most of it came via DHL.  The whole "Process it as shipped and provide tracking #, even though it has not shipped and will not for days" routine, hopefully they will stop doing that.  I am not so impatient that I can not wait a couple of days for shipping but don't tell me it has shipped when it hasn't.  Hopefully the rest of it shows up soon.  I had been debating ordering another blade from them but this has definitely not pushed me towards it.

kcheel, I did not get my mini, nor was it 'plug and play' as they stated. I requested a refund and am awaiting reply.

{EDIT}
currently awaiting parts to show up on my resolution. They are back feeding me what avg mining is on LTC for my hashes and paid out in BTC. Its something, not the coin or expectation I had, but they are working thru the issue I have!

Will update once up and running.

quote defcoin ==== LOL... oh no, the coin is dead cause $DEV doesn't live on BCT! When will you people learn that everything on here is completely irrelevant next to useless. Devs need to stop using it all together, only then can crypto begin to flourish. It's such a shame that people consider this shit hole to be the pinnacle of information when it comes to developments. I don't blame $DEV for not coming on here, and frankly I am embarrassed that I even check BCT myself.

Got my reply via msg and call.
Happy with where the resolution is headed!

Not a scam site, just got in a stuck place with how this order went thru. They are working it out even tho most of it was not their fault!
