I simply need to sustain momentum in this round, and you're screwed; the top place appears unlikely, but not impossible.

I wanna make a full switch. I have a decent team but if the games turn out how I think they would German and Spanish defenders won't be worth much and neither will Portuguese and French defenders.
I'm considering shuffling it all for QF and then hoping that for SF it goes my way.

How many transfers do we have for the semifinal round?

I'm thinking about balancing Germany and Spain assets; I now have 3 Spain pain and 2 Germany; it's a 50-50 game and one must go home, so balancing the players on both sides will have little impact on the semi-final squad.

Spain vs Germany looks more like 60-40 game to me though, I have multiple players from both sides bit I’m not to worried about that, I’m worried which of those players could get me points for the match even if it’s the expense of them getting eliminated, my transfers could cover that.

I am also at knife point whether to pull wildcard this round or not. I can get to 15 players with free transfers no problem but most of them aren't actually players I would pick on Wildcard. Wildcard now gives much more upside but wildcard in the semis guarantees full team and we could have a lot of surprises in this round.

I will probably decide at last possible moment.

This matchday will only have one certain team to back and that's Netherlands against Turkey , though not to be written off they certainly have the capacity to pull another upset, but the rest of the games at hand are all tricky to predict...the next best game if we want to score some easy points has to be the England - Switzerland game, but I fear the English team for the lack of bite in the attack department and berest assured the Swiss aren't here to play and they won't spare England...though looking at the head to head the fixture could favour Southgate but it's not history that plays football and am still going to side with the Swiss, let's go!!

Now I have 3 Germany assets + carvajal out for the entire of the tournament and possible 2 of France/Portugal left to join the list and no WC left. I knew quarterfinals was going to be bloody hell but i didn't expect it to be a booking rumble.

This is the most important round for everyone, Semis and final are just cherries on the ice.

Perphaps thought you were trying to take out the competition using this strategy, but lesson learnt we shall follow the Sheriff's advice going forward 🫡.

The results from today's games were all extended, games from tomorrow will be different, I expect many goals tomorrow especially from the Netherlands game as they are the best performing them so far in this competition with Cody Gakpo and the top of it all.

I am now in the competition for fun, I know I was not a contender to win it before now, but it is now certain.

It is always team dependent. You are right that upside in group stage was highest but then again I had my best score in GW2 anyway and with WC I would maybe have less. It was also easy to set up the squad.for GW1 and GW2 from begging.

Netherlands & England missing out will certainly be bad for most of us , but with 4 transfers available in the semi's...I think it's more than enough to get a good team fielded unless you have a combined total of over 8+ players which technically means 4 less players and this is some scary possibility that could happen!!!

Btw I see some manager's still have both chips unused and team looks very well balanced to go all the way and already doing fine in the pool

Those are usually managers who had a good MD1 squad but didn't care much about MD2 and M3. Mine was messy and could have gone worse if I hadn't activated WC in MD2. I could have avoided it anyhow. Not yet, buddy; I just lost a spot with 5 guys out and no WC, as well as Gakpo MOTM points; you have a WC, and the gap between you and me is breakable if you can find the proper players. I'm honestly focused on finishing third, and this one allows me to kill two birds with one stone.

It must have been that bad to force an overhaul, and from the look of thing's it should have paid off as your points show a gradual increase  

BTW, how did you leapfrog your way to third place? You were not a problem, but you became one.

I don't know maybe I got lucky, or went for it when everyone choose to play it safe with their Wildcards but I saw an opportunity & went for the kill and hoping to stay there with a couple of matchdays to go, but not to get ahead of myself let's see how this goes with unreliable teams like England still in the competition

Hey guys, just to let you know I have transferred the money collected from the fees to icopress. He will be the one dishing out the rewards when time comes since I am running of on holiday and was too lazy to figure out a way to take this escrow wallet with me

Fees are low at the moment so this will also serve as a nice way to consolidate a lot of inputs and will probably even save some $ for the final rewards.

Damn, wildcard gives too many options. I'm quite bad at stuff when there's so much to choose from.
Considering that I'm chasing, a smart move would be to bet on 2 teams and pick max of their players. But there simply aren't that many that are worth it.

I'll probably do a mix of them all and have a similar team to Igebotz, who I'm trying to catch.
