I read some news like Solanke got injured. This is quite bad news for me. He couldn't play in the FA Cup match last night as well. When it comes to the FA Cup KDB played for 90 minutes last night. I still don't understand why Pep doesn't give him a chance in the league. By the way no matter what I'm thinking of using a free hit on gw29.

And yet if you keep injured people like Solanke, Estu, TAA, Salah in your squad all season along with people like Alvarez, Watkins, Salah, Son, Foden, Gabriel, Saliba, and Pickford, you can actually have a pretty sick rank in the top 10K and floor this ML. (note: No Haaland)

It is a crazy stat I saw in r/fantasyPL more than once.

I have to say, people who madly sell and buy players every week in FPL are kinda like bald frauds.

So I will keep Solanke even though I know he blanks in GW29.

It is so very team and manager dependent. Problem is you don't often have the right info. Rule of thumb for me is player price. If somebody as expensive as Salah is out for long time I will sell him and redistribute the funds throughout the team. If it is someone like Hee Chan this week with price of 5.5 I am happy to let him sit on bench until wildcard.

By the way guys this is the week when rankings will be made or lost. I don't mean just this week but the plan for whole season. This is the one when you should plot out your plan for the rest of the season. We now know who blanks in gw29 and your plan when to free hit/wildcard will should be the driving force behind all transfers.

Unfortunately I don't have as much time as I would like to plan that so probably just a rough plan and some sure thing transfer like Son in.

I really just can't help but that wonder how significant those points for 5 Haaland goals and multiple KDB assists would have been for me, especially coupled with the fact that I had my triple captain chip on Haaland, damn!

I still can't believe Robertson's leaving the game right after getting a yellow card in the 59th minute. It made me sad to collect 0 points from him in a match Liverpool didn't concede a goal. It is also an unlucky incident for me that Areola collected 13 points by saving a penalty on a week that I left him on the bench. If it goes on like this I won't be able to take my place in top 5 at the end of the season.

The Robertson change was what gave klopp the three points from that very tough game for Liverpool. Nunez for me would have scored more points had he come on earlier, because in the few minutes he played for Liverpool from the 60th minute, he was able to make his presence felt, and was more effective than Robertson. I was able to just get Five points from him, would have been more. It was a crucial goal Nunez scored to keep Liverpool's hope alive of winning the premier league.

Captaining Watkins in recent few games is what's still keeping me alive. It remains to be seen what Haaland will do tomorrow though, I do expect a good game from him.

Team full of injuries again, the main question for the next GW will be Solanke's fitness. Salah should be at least on the bench.

According to the latest I read, Solanke is already in training and he has traveled with the team. Considering how important he is for the team I sort of expect him to pay this GW as well.

So far so good, all my players with the returns. Probably gonna be a some disappointments tomorrow. Like united beating City 1:0 and Arsenal conceding a goal to rub in points Areola got on my bench.

I've solved this problem by filling up my whole squad with "essential" players, so now I've got all of them in my squad bar Haaland.

Saka, Son, Bowen, Foden, TAA, Gabriel, Solanke, Virgil, etc (would be Saliba but I already have Raya).

Only other person missing is Watkins and I just got him back in.

It might have been because my squad value is 102.6m excluding funds ITB, but even from next season, when we start with 100m, it seems to be affordable if you switch Salah with some 8.0 mid (assuming he goes to Saudi), and use whatever is remaining to get a back four of TAA - VVD - Gabirel - Saliba - some 4.0 DEF and then cheap out at GK.

Haaland is not really essential nowadays, his FPL points can be covered by Alvarez and 1-2 premium DEFs.

That is all very nice but Salah & Haaland have the price which they have for a reason. And trust me you are gonna see why sooner or later. What would you say if that cup game where Haaland scored 5 and De Bruyne assisted 4 were a league game instead?

I am also gonna argue that you did not mention Palmer and he is in my book the most essential player this season.

Well yeah, I forgot to mention Palmer. My post was about what might be a good lineup next season. But there's only 5 midfield spots and after Saka / Son / Foden / Bowen, if I had to choose between Salah and Palmer it is definitely Salah who is getting in.

My theory is that City were only able to run rampant against Luton in the FA cup because the latter were dead tired from playing an extra game (against Liverpool). So I guess nobody's really missing out on KDB's points in the Prem for now at least, and as for the robot, it obviously isn't ideal to go without him, but the budget doesn't allow for me to get him along with all these other players.

Of all the players in my squad, Watkins is the permanent fixture I wish I'd just captained from the very beginning. For a very long time it was Wilson but since he stopped playing, I haven't restored him to my squad.

Nunez not giving me nearly as many points as he deserves, mainly because he just doesn't get enough minutes even when he makes an appearance.

50% chance on FPL translates to 80%, more or less, in my experience. I used to fall for that injury tag, benching or even transferring out, only to see them play more than 60 minutes. Solanke case in point.

Everybody's got a bad round it seems, but City assets are yet to be counted. Considering that I have only Alvarez who is starting from the bench, I hope for a quiet derby

Solanke played, which means one less transfer to do for the next round. Lucky for me because now that KDB is back, Alvarez is not playing as many minutes as he used to.

The problem with Haaland is that he is so good we are judging him by his own last year standards. I mean the guy has scored 28 goals in 31 games this season. Not bad stats for any attacker no matter the name.

That being said, he missed unbelievably good chance today in first half, Darwin vibes all along.

Haaland got the third goal for Manchester City after the mistake from Amrabat. That goal will be a consolation to that very huge miss from him in the first half. The best player for Manchester City and the most valuable asset to own in this club is Phil Foden, he is on very good form and his confidence keeps increasing with every game, and this season has to be the best season of his career.

Manchester United today were very poor, they could not put up a fight against Manchester City, Rashford missed some chances, and the entire team lacked the fire to win the game. Onana was the best player for Manchester United for me until after Foden found a way through.

Foden is playing a fantastic season, yeah. I made a mistake when I transferred him out, I did it for Saka so maybe he'll repay the faith tomorrow

City is where you win or lose this season. If you manage their assets well, you'll be 200-300 points ahead of the guy that does not. I'm the guy that does not.

I don't know who the most unlucky player in this pool have been if not me, I was forced to used my Free Hit last game week, and this week I had absolutely no choice but to wild card, and not as if that as turned out to be the in my favour either, my starting 11 player all have 47 points combined, while just the 4 players on my bench have a whooping 36 points (all goes to waste), and yes I got rid of Foden too, despite myself emphasizing that's he's currently a must City player due to his form and versatility 

It sure would be considered a great use if anyone can get 36 points for their bench boost chip in any FPL season.
