I read some news about Diogo Jota that he couldn't join training because of catching flu however the source wasn't very reliable. Is there anyone who knows about this topic? By the way how many of you transferred Elijah Adebayo who is playing for Luton? Even though Luton have blank space on gw26 they have double gameweek on gw25 and gw28 both. I'm very regretful now for wasting my wildcard early.

As far as I know, he's ok for the game.
There has been some talk about the flu yeah, but doesn't seem serious.

I start badly as well, with KDB benched. Luckily I did not choose him as captain, he was my 2nd choice after (yeah buwa, have your fun) Running chicken Nunez.

As I have read some news about KDB and Walker to be likely to be substitutes right before the deadline I have decided to bench both of these two players. I assume that Pep Guardiola wanted to rest De Bruyne because of having an away match against Copenhagen on Tuesday.The only people who don't have Haaland among top 7 players are us. I hope that Haaland has a bad week.

I removed Alvarez and Saka to make a room for Haaland and another lower value midfielders then obviously captained Haaland for this game. 20 points for being a captain from Haaland, I think he is back on track already. Two goals with one assist from KDB really pick up the pace for me as I have both of them on my team, hope to pick up more points from the rest of the players this round

Well, congrats! I didn't want to make any major changes for GW24 because I plan to use those free transfers for GW26 when I will need them the most so I'm settling for a low-points with KDB, Alvarez and Foden all under-delivering with low points returns — I wouldn't blame them much because Everton put up a really good game today.

I watched Haaland today ans he looks good to go. I will get him in the coming weeks just need to deal with GW25 and GW26.

I mismanaged the Haaland situation in literally every game of the season - which is proving to be extremely costly.

And that is precisely the reason while I always have him in the squad when he is fit.

You can try and play without any player and it feels ok if you have good squad, except for Haaland. You just know everyone has him, everyone is giving him the captain and City will always make some opportunities for him. For instance I wasn't feeling bad about not owning De Bruyne for a second but I am not gonna make myself watch City play and not having Haaland in the squad.

I expect his effective ownership in DGW to maybe even get close to 200%. Among the active ones probably even something like 230%.

I watched Haaland today ans he looks good to go. I will get him in the coming weeks just need to deal with GW25 and GW26.

I never did let him go, I knew it will only a take a few games for him to be back to him usual goal scoring self. My only loss is that I only Vice Captained him for the GW, and Captained KDB, not that KDB was a completely bad choice, but I would have maxed on Haaland's brace today.

Darwin Nunez was not just misfiring today and getting near goal experience, he scored today.

Gabriel saved my GW, otherwise it would have been a total shitshow. 6-0 Arsenal, I didn't see it coming - expected a really close game.
I guess the Salah situation will be the biggest doubt of GW25. I thought I'd surely have him because I expected that he'd be a part of the last round's team, but seems way too risky now.

Will be hard to select a proper captain, I feel Liverpool's got the better fixtures. Nunez to outscore Haaland? If he could tap one in an empty net, I'd say for sure. But can he?

I just went back to check on their scores against the big teams that they have played in the premier league this season and I say you are also not wrong about their abilities to score again big teams.
Luton were able to score four goals against Newcastle in Newcastle's home, four against Brighton when they came visiting, two goals against Chelsea when Chelsea visited although they did not win that game, One against Manchester City when Manchester City visited, Also three against Arsenal when Arsenal Visited, but just one against Liverpool and non against Manchester United which still sprinkles in some doubts.

I still hope for one or two surprises but don't feel too confident anymore.
Maybe I absolutely overestimated Luton Town and Adebayo and somehow totally ignored the fact that their away record is weaker when it comes to goals against big teams.
But I need differentials just not sure where to find them.
And it looks like Triple (C) is now a must for Haaland next week.

Too find differentials you need to think outside the box or take risk with certain players, and blank weeks and when a couple of premium players are injured or unavailable are often the best time chances to get them, but great differentials often last for only a week or two before they come a trend, e.g: If you look at Brighton, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and West ham, they've all got some decent fixtures ahead of them, and you can easily find one or a few differentials from this team, but you need to be convince that the differential you're chasing isn't going backfire, especially if you taking them against players with owners with good form and fixtures ahead too.

I'm also thinking of calling my triple captain chip too next game week, but it just might not be on Haaland, Chelsea and Brentford aren't as awful as they're portrayed and Man City are playing their CL first leg this midweek, that could mean a possible 4 games for Haaland within 10 days, I think Guardiola could be cautious with his talisman, a Liverpool player would likely be my call, if I were to go ahead.

And yes, I took a lot of hits to get here, but this week the projected points from the incoming players cancels out (eg. Turner => Flekken, Areola => Raya, whatever Hwang gets => Foden and so on).

But hey I don't feel like I got a chance to break in the top 5 but you never know.

If Trent is confirmed out I won't replace him but I might even captain Bradley. I think he will become the next John Stones 27 pointer.

Some of my transfers went bust though.

Selling Foden was a mistake.
Buying Walker was a mistake.
Buying Hee Chan is also a mistake (for now)

If you need differentials, might as well stockpile them.

FPL could be such a trier and error chance at times. I got Palmer on my team and had him on for GW3 & Gw4 and he proved unproductive in the two game weeks and just now that I have him on the bench with Chelsea playing from an away side against a Crystal Palace that have got most of its squad back from the international competitions, Chelsea gets to beat Crystal Palace in a 1:3 victory match with Palmer getting 2 assists and match bonus to earn 10points, 10points on the bench while, Richarlison, Foden and Bowen didn’t often anything worth their time for the game week, being in my midfield.

For the DGW, am still looking out for who’s best in Liverpool and Manchester City but, can’t make a pick. I already have Foden and Haaland for City but, no Liverpool player because, am not quite sure I could settle for Darwin and Salah have got a probability on his playing chance.

Thanks for that info now I feel better about my hits. I am taking -4 almost certainly and even thinking about -8. So you are still in the lead for now but I am looking forward to taking you off that spot as soon as possible.

Only way I am not taking a hit is if Foden gets injured today and all my players look certain to start in GW25.

Fuck it, I'm gambling it all on Darwin Nunez. It should have been Salah, everything was set up for him to return and to be triple captain in double GW.
Now I need to pick a 3rd LFC player and there's nobody I like. Diaz hasn't really contributed, midfielders rarely score/assist and Trent is a cointoss.

I just hope that all City players that I have remain healthy - otherwise my whole plan was for nothing.

but not sure for new week, although Brentford seem as good chance for scoring show
Arsenal had show last week against West Ham, don't see him next week playing same scoring festival

You still have a very big advantage against me as I don't have any wildcard. Frankly finishing this season in 2nd place would be quite enough for me. However for this I might need to compete against players like som3aa,spack1997,Brahim012.

You are right however I bought Haaland early because of being afraid of his price to increase again. I was right about my fear about this topic as well. His price increased again after I bought him. I'm very regretful for not buying him at 13.9. 0.4 million is an amount which can make quite a difference while building a team.

Foden started today's game, which raises the possibility that he may miss Chelsea's game this weekend and play Brentford midweek. I just hope KDB and Halaand are subbed off as soon as possible; I don't want them to be burnt out before DGW. What about Allison? Is he back?

I'm thinking about TC Diogo Jota for the DGW as this could be the shot I need to get a few steps ahead. There was little to no movement in the last round.

You said this just the way I’ve thought of it.
I don’t really fancy Darwin Nunez but at the moment, he seems like the best choice for a DGW from Liverpool. The rest are just unreliable, neither is Darwin Nunez but, it’s easy to expect him make out a goal or two within the DGW. If Salah was available, it would have been a much different story.
Diogo Jota might seem like another nice option but, I don’t place much hopes on him either.

We just might be rocking Darwin Nunez after all and have his price go up.

Eh, according to stats I have seen on FPL sites, I'm #1 in benched points in this league   Much of that was also because of the living zombie Sterling.

But I'd be cautious about putting too much time into FPL, cause that tends to mess with 3-5 GW plans and the grand scheme of things.
