BCCI Announcement About Dot Balls in IPL Playoff

Who noticed a tree icon on every dot ball instead of a dot? Maybe you are wondering why suddenly, TV broadcasters are showing a tree icon instead of a Dot. Here is why; BCCI announced they would plant 500 Trees for each dot ball played in IPL Playoff matches. This means Each time you a tree icon, BCCI will plant 500 Trees. Later, TV broadcasters decided to put a tree icon instead of a dot ball icon to spread awareness of this campaign. This is one of the most unique initiatives I have ever seen, and I appreciate it. This is a new addition by BCCI for four games in this year's IPL playoffs, BCCI is looking to take a landmark step for the Indian Green movement. They will plant 500 green saplings instead of each dot ball in the four matches of the IPL playoffs. This is undoubtedly considered to be a landmark step by BCCI towards tree planting in India. Harsha Bhogle, one of the spokespersons of the Indian Cricket Board, presented the matter clearly. But in tomorrow's match Gujarat Titans bowlers shami bowled a total of 10 dot balls and in this case BCCI will plant a total of 5000 Greens 🌲 trees.

Hopefully these tree saplings will be looked after as well, until they are self sufficient. Otherwise, actual survival rate of planted trees will be much less. Anyhow, a great initiative by bcci.

Yeah.. BCCI is swimming in wads of cash, from the IPL media rights sale and the increased allocation from the ICC. So they can indulge in these face saving activities. But at the same time, I really hope that they give some importance to the existing infrastructure. Despite being so rich, the BCCI still doesn't have a single stadium with retractable roof. And it will be very helpful to have one, given the number of rain interruptions in the last few years. Also, it will be good to have cricket stadiums in some of the scenic hill stations in addition to Dharamshala, such as Shillong, Gangtok, Imphal and Aizawl.

I thought Gujarat Titans was the better of the two teams but then the experience matters most in the big matches. Chennai super kings is an experienced team and with Ms Dhoni in their team, you expect them to be more mature and handle the pressure better than the opponent of the likes of Gujarat Titans.

172 runs was not a big score to chase but then due to the pressure of the playoffs Gujarat Titans only managed to score 157 runs and now they have to play another match and win it in order to reach the finals.

After watching today match I am really shocked and feeling they not deserve spot into last four because with this performance they were doing things like shit team nothing good at batting even they have done some better in bowling because once I was feeling MI can go past 200 runs, but they have done good job and stop their batsmen from playing freely but in today game all top order batsmen from LSG were completely down and out specially Pooran and Bishnoi were big disappointments which give big below to them for having anything positive.

Akash Madhwal was really hero after having 5 for 5, 81 runs win is surely big win for any team in play-offs but today Mumbai surely deserve this win with their performance in all fields.

LSG absolutely lost the grass of the match after 69/3. It was the start of the breaking point of LSG. They did not have any meaningful partnership after that. In a space of 32 runs, they have lost 7 wickets. This was absolutely incredible performance from Madhwal and Jordan. Mumbai Indians proved that even with a moderate target they can absolutely win by defending that target. So far GT and CSK were looking like the best teams in this IPL season. But right now it feels like the best to our Mumbai Indians and Chennai super kings.

That's true, LSG is not to be placed on the top four on the points table. Matches used to change, but what we watched today is the worst performance from LSG. It is like Mumbai Indians thrashed LSG. In a total of 182 losing by 81 runs is really not the expected performance from the viewers. As usual Stoinis did his role and he's the lead scorer for LSG in the entire season. The top scores from LSG is 40, 18, 15 runs. Remaining players were of single digit score.
