Tonight, the the first legs of the Group Stage of the UEFA Champions League will be played. I will prefer to watch Paris Saint-Germain - Borussia Dortmund match. The result of the match between PSG and Dortmund is difficult to predict however in my opinion, the favorite team is Paris Saint-Germain. The match will be a tough fight between PSG and Dortmund but I feel like we will watch a very enjoyable match.

Paris Saint-Germain's starting XI against Borussia Dortmund : Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Lucas Hernández; Ugarte, Vitinha, Zaïre-Emery; Dembélé, Kolo Muani, Mbappé.

There's alot to expect in the opening game. PSG are the hosts and would always portrayed more pressure on the visitors without hesitation. Luis Enrique have another tests to pass if he still wants to maintain his position as headcoach of Parisians. While Edin Terzic will likely settle for draw, moreover Dortmund are good when it comes to defensive strategy. Paris Saint-Germain vs Borrusia Dortmund is a tough fixture, I will just buy cheese and relaxed, wouldn't missed out on the game because I will be delighted to see entertaining performances from both sides.

It is indeed really going to be an entertaining one for the both teams,but will also be full of tension as the two teams with be looking forward to getting their first win.Paris is not really inform at the moment,but with the presence of their fans,they will want to pose a threat on the Dortmund defence, likewise Dortmund,they haven't been doing bad,and would want to prove their form by winning or getting a draw at Paris despite the fact that their odd for the game is bigger.Its about 4 odd,but I will go for a draw in this game because I don't see  Paris winning this one.Just as Milan and Newcastle ended in a draw,this game is also going to be a draw.

It is really unbelievable that Milan still couldn't manage to score any goal. They have wasted so many opportunities generously. Rafael Leao's fail after great moves was really a disappointment. He wanted to score an artistic goal but messed it up. The first half was completely under control of Milan. I would have expected them to finish the half by a few goals ahead to tell the truth.

Milan are still fighting with their everything but there is still no goal while there are 10 minutes left to the end. Newcastle are defending them with like all of their players at the moment. They just want to secure one point after struggling a lot against this Milan dominance. I would love to see Milan winning this as they deserve it but let's see.

Milan had very good dominance in this match but unfortunately, Milan did not succeed in turning the opportunities they had into goals. Although indeed, with statistics like this, Milan should have scored in this match, but Milan couldn't do it well. Of course, a draw at home is a bad result for Milan, unless Milan doesn't have good statistics then it's probably natural that the result is a draw. But yes, a draw like this also at least opens up opportunities for Newcastle, maybe they will produce the same result in the next match. Because honestly, it seems that in this group phase we are quite looking forward to the results that Newcastle will get as newcomers to the Champions League this season.

Well at the end of the day both club ended the match on a 0:0 score which is one settling point point for both clubs,  AC Milan vs Newcastle is a game of clubs that are in the same category and there for to get one to defeat the other is will be by chances and not skills since both clubs have same level of lineup,  but more also AC Milan seems to have hard the dominance in the match but failed to convert those chances into goal all through the 90+ minutes.

Even in their last match,  their also failed to score any good point and the season is graddulay progressing and very soon their will start facing more tougher clubs in the leagues.

The match between Borussia Dortmund and PSG has already started and 18 minutes of the game have passed where the scores of both teams are 0 so far. PSG has formed an XI with the best of all the players they have. Mbappe and Dembele can turn the tide of the match against Borussia Dortmund. If these two stars can perform well then PSG can win this match. PSG must be more focused on their defense if they want to win this match because I saw several weaknesses in their defense in these 18 minutes. However, PSG have had more of the ball so far as the game has played out and PSG have made more accurate passes.  

In addition to keeping the ball in their possession, PSG must try to counter-attack at times, only then will the goals come.

Milan still dominated attacks in the second half and they really tried to score goals. Some of the opportunities they created were not able to be converted into goals, but we all know that Milan had good game play and they really threatened Newcastle's defense.

The tension in this match was very high because Milan, who did not want to end the match with a draw, still made a lot of efforts by building attacks from various sides. So far their efforts have not been successful, but I think Milan need to take advantage of the few minutes remaining in the match to score and win this match.

The best chance for a goal was Leao but he didn't maximize it well. The result is now a 0-0 draw with AC Milan dominating with 25 shots and 9 shots on goal and with possession too.

Basically AC Milan's attack was good enough to tire the Newcastle defense but on the other hand the opponent's defense was really strong so the few times the attack came they could overcome it, this is a fierce match of course, but my prediction is not up to a draw but it is according to the facts now.

For Milan it was important to start well in the Champions League, they played a good attacking game but it wasn't enough to undermine New Castle's defense, unfortunately their group of teams is very competitive and for Milan I see 2 points lost along the way more than having earned 1 point! the next one will be played against Dortmund and it will certainly be a very difficult match, because the stakes will be very high, they should also hope that Dortmund don't get full points against PSG this evening

AC Milan 0:0 Newcastle United

A disappointing result from the AC Milan team who failed to make use of their opportunities to score against the Newcastle team that was seen as the underdog in this very game. AC Milan wasted all the 8 goal attempt they had they couldn't convert a single one to take all 3 points from the visiting team who didn't do much but to defend till the end of the game.

I think the hero of this game tonight should be the Newcastle goal keeper Nick Pope he deserves to be the man of the match.

Although AC Milan suffered a humiliating loss to Inter in their most recent game, I was still expecting them to win this game because they are playing at home. However, as you pointed out, they failed to take advantage of their chances, allowing Newcastle United, who have lost their form this season, to earn a point in their first match away from home.

The fact that Newcastle had one of the best defenses in the Premier League last season allowed them to withstand the pressure of the AC Milan attacking.

I believe, Milan defeat in Serie A by Inter will not have a bad impact on Milan performance in the Champions League. Because after all, basically the teams in group F are all experiencing a decline in performance but I think, Milan is still better even than PSG. Because after all, last season when PSG still had Messi and Neymar but in reality PSG was only runner uup under Benfica. So yes, even though in group F it looks like they are big teams but in fact, they are experiencing situations and conditions that are not so good at this moment. Therefore, I personally believe that no one is really a favorite in this group F, because I think the teams in this group F have the same chance.

That is what makes the group F so interesting. Last year we would have said that Dortmund has no chance at all against that former PSG squad and Newcastle in top shape, but since all 4 of them are now having their own set of issues, I think everything is possible. PSG has one ace up their sleeves and I think during the group stage that ace is called Mbappe. He can really make a difference against those clubs in group F whereas I am convinced that Mbappe would not be enough in a knockout game against Manchester City or Real Madrid.

Yes the odds are quite balanced at the moment, where the teams in Group F are not performing consistently in their respective domestic leagues. Talking about Milan, I was a little doubtful after seeing the defeat they received from Inter, even though they were superior due to historical factors, but of course this was not enough. Newcastle, who have returned after a long absence from the UCL competition, will be very ambitious to go further this season. I think the chance of a draw is quite big for the meeting between the two teams, because if you look at the depth of the squad it is also balanced.

The Milan squad is in a state of crisis of confidence, the only definite advantage is playing in front of their own supporters. Even though Newcastle has a worse record than AC Milan in the domestic league, Pioli must be aware of the playing speed of EPL teams quite well.

But I have to say that they played a great game against Newcastle United and really deserved to win it after they had this horrible game against Inter Milan. They have raised the pressure all game long and Newcastle could only breath when they managed to keep the ball within their own lines. But as soon as AC Milan had the ball, it literally meant an attack is to come against Newcastle. It did not pay off in the end though and losing points in this group is tough. Of course every point counts in every group, but since this will be very close between all of the four clubs, not winning a home game can be a costly mistake.

Barcelona are leading Royal Antwerp by 3 goals to nil and Porto lead Shakhtar Donetsk by 2 goals to one.

While typing this FC Porto have scored a third goal giving them a 2 goal cushion. It is to early to call, but I will expect both teams leading now to make it out of the group with Barcelona finishing top of the pack.

The fact that Newcastle had one of the best defenses in the Premier League last season allowed them to withstand the pressure of the AC Milan attacking.

They were able to shake off the pressure from the first half and play better in the second half. This compact defense contributed to them not losing the game. For Newcastle, it is an impressive result but to AC Milan, this is not good at all. Maybe their huge loss to Inter Milan before this game reduced the confidence of the team, but they seriously need to improve. Newcastle can celebrate this, they have a result to build from and hopefully progress. After this game of denying AC Milan a victory in their home, they will know that they can actually go far in this tournament if they set it as a target.

Barcelona vs Antwerp, this match was dominated by Barcelona. They the most comfortable team today, they are leading and already got 3 scores now yes. Against a weak team like Antwerp is not a difficult match for the Xavi squad, and it's not impossible that Barcelona can add another score, because Antwerp also can't defend very well. Also Antwerp don't have any opportunity to scored, because Barcelona has a better defense.

Milan hit a lot of shots, but Newcastle are showing real English football. I don't know if they can hold their defence for the rest of the game or even win, but I think Milan deserve to win more. Although it wouldn't be surprising if the game ends in a draw.

If you look at the statistics, AC Milan should be able to win, but that's how football is, sometimes luck is really needed in a match, and in this match luck was not on AC Milan's side. In that match, AC Milan recorded 25 shots, but were unable to score against Newcastle, only 8 shots were on target. Meanwhile, Newcastle recorded 6 shots with only 1 shot on target.

Indeed, if you look at the statistics, the draw was probably unfair for AC Milan and that is what football can do. In conclusion, I saw that in this match, AC Milan's front line was less effective in finishing, while Newcastle's game was less calm, too rushed so they didn't know the direction of the game.

Maybe this is because AC Milan has just been devastated by losing to the Derby recently. So their self-confidence has not fully returned. If you refer to the correct statistics as you stated, the result is quite unfair for Milan, they completely controlled the game and Newcastle never even had a dangerous chance apart from the shoot that occurred in the last minute. AC Milan repeatedly failed to convert opportunities into goals, which frustrated the Milan players and disrupted their concentration.

What makes me a little annoyed with Pioli, he rotated Reijnders which didn't make sense, spent 60 minutes with Pobega who was mediocre, Musah played quite well, what was strange was that Giroud was not replaced even though he was already experiencing a deadlock in scoring goals.

Of course Manchester City will get an easy win tonight against a team from the Serbian Super League, FK Crvena Zvezda who I have never watched how they play. Manchester City must not underestimate their opponent if they do not want to experience undesirable results.

The most enjoyable game could be PSG-Dortmund. I will watch this game and Milan-Newcastle tonight.

This is a tight match. Many people are pessimistic about Newcastle's success in the UCL, including me. Newcastle will show their supporters that they should not be considered easy to beat among the other teams in this group.
Maybe with many people thinking that Newcastle will not be able to get through this extra tight group, this will be an encouragement for them to do their best which can break all the analysis about them.

I think Barcelona and Porto will get 3 points tonight.

I don't think Barcelona will win easily by getting 3 points tonight against Porto. Porto is not a weak team that can easily be beaten in the UCL.

Manchester city is having a hard time in converting their chances,  the crvena zvezda goal keeper is a hell of keeper, the save's he has had is   really giving an extra energy to his players.
Manchester city is playing them half field, crvena zvezda might end up having a goal down before the the end of this first half.

Antwerp wouldn't be able to equalise these goals as Barcelona is dominating the game as usual and winning all possession. I think this is a good start for Barcelona in the champions league. Although their opponent is a weak team for them to have difficulties to win, so I am not surprised. It is still 3-0 in favor of Barcelona.

With the circumstances of the last game I am not even very sure Man United can get points in this UCL. Their opponents are much better statistically than Brighton. Even coupled with the team's poor condition. Relying on Højlund has not been effective. He hasn't fully performed at his best. I think Man United's best choice is to defend deeply and rely on quick counterattacks. But let's see, I just think badly because the result of Man United's last game was very bad.

No doubt situation is not good for the Manchester United and boss Ten Haq with pressure is mounting on them after having poor performance, and now they are going to face German giant at Allianz Arena with very long list of injured and inactive players but still we can expect something positive because sometime playing under pressure helps few teams and Manchester United is also one of the biggest clubs in Europe even in last few years they are suffering but still they are capable of giving their best in all circumstances.

Their defense is surely the biggest issue for them with attack having good potential but still not able to give their best and too many expectations from the Højlund are also mounting pressure which is surely not good for the youngster.

I'm not surprised about Barcelona's win in this match, that's as it should be. But by the way, Barcelona did not play at the Camp Nou during this time, but they played at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium while the Camp Nou was being renovated.

This is also a game played in their fortress, the Etihad stadium where they rarely loose games. In the second half, and within the very first ten minutes of starting the game, I believe Manchester City will score back to get leveled and from there go on to win the game.

It's half-time and I see 3 nil on the scoresheet, there's alot to take in from the visitors who have absolutely no plan to bounce back rather they will defend their territory inother to prevent Barcelona from invading and scoring more goals. Joao Felix and Robert Lewandowski goals puts them infront, we should expect more goals in the second half. Barcelona having nice moment thrashing the visitors at Camp Nou. The game was even easier than we expected it to be, Xavi Hernandez having good mappings. It's crystal clear, Royal Antwerp are no match for the blaugrana.

I was watching the game between AC Milan and Newcastle United, and it was a fairly normal match. AC Milan came close to winning especially in the second half. The Newcastle team was playing a highly defensive strategy and seemed determined to secure a draw. It was unfortunate that Leao missed that opportunity to score a goal but that's all right.
I'll be tuning in to watch FC Barcelona in a bit.

Newcastle got a draw in their first match in their return to UCL I think it's not a bad performance after defending almost throughout the duration of the match and got their only shot on target during stoppage time while AC Milan were very unlucky to score a goal after missing some goal scoring chances indeed poor finishing  by their final third especially Leao was their missing link  I hope those misses would not later cost them chances of group qualification, meanwhile Newcastle needed to win their home matches to stand a chance of qualifying for the next round, meanwhile Barcelona is presently leading Royal Antwerp 3-0 while Man City is losing 0-1 against  Red Star half time.

It's the first half of the game between Manchester city and crvena and so far it's been an electrifying moment. As man city dominates with possession and the ball seems to stay too long at the goal post of crvena, although we weren't expecting any less of man city so I would say they are playing within expectations. Crevena seem to have a good defense as all efforts by man city to penetrate has been blocked or saved.

The keeper on the other hand seem to have vowed to keep a clean sheet in this game as he has an outstanding performance so far with fantastic saves which I will say was least expected of him because he is been faced by a good team, it was expected that at most by the 40th minute of the first half mancity should be leading but then the keeper seem too prepared for that.

Wow what a surprise as crvena just scored a goal, wow this is far more than unbelievable as the first half just ended with Manchester city a goal down, tho mancity has a good play but a counter attack is something you can never predict, I still believe mancity will get a comeback as crevena is not a good enough team to really contend but then I must say the tried and became lucky with the first half. Let's see how the second half play out.

For Barcelona, it is getting an easier challenge in the first half of 3 goals so it is possible that the goals will increase again in the second half, Royal Antwerp is not so impressive behind Barcelona's opponent.

Porto? Although away looks this will be their victory but Porto is much stronger than Shakhtar.
Now look at the other score Manchester City are a goal down in the first half, but not sure this will be their defeat at least in the second half should be a good situation for Manchester City.
