 Well their lack of concentration in games especially when having 2 goals up is usually what affects this team. Like in the game against Man United, they lost concentration and this had a negative effect on them. They lost all 3 points and even struggled not to concede more than 3 and this is what they should try to work on as a team, else they'll miss their chance of qualifying for the top four to participate in the UCL tournament season.

I think Aston Villa's chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season are very big and I'm sure they will be able to qualify. But honestly I don't see any chance of them becoming champions unless they are able to do what Leicester did in the 2015/2016 season. But it was a miracle like a fairy tale. If you look at the opportunities, I think in this modern era it will be difficult if the team is not able to perform consistently and has good squad depth. But let's just wait and see what Aston Villa can do at the end of the season.

The Premier League is finally back with the second part of the season.    What do you think about the Newcastle v Manchester City and Manchester United v Tottenham matches?

Newcastle's chances are smaller than Manchester City's chances of winning.
The most likely option, in my opinion, is that this match will end in a draw because Newcastle and Manchester City are experiencing several deficiencies, including several of their core players.
Manchester City are a little better because their attacking midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne, is back, although their top scorer, Haaland, is still doubtful to play.

Manchester United may continue the bad trend. Doubtful if betting on Manchester United winning.
Tottenham also lost Son, who played for the national team in the Asian Cup.

Aston Villa in the last 1year have been the highest point takers in the EPL. They've been exceptional at their games, winning almost always and ensuring that they stay at the top chart. No one saw them coming and they've been able to be consistent, keeping home win records this season and they've not failed to cause troubles for teams. They really need to stay that way and maintain their consistency to keep their hopes of qualifying for the UCL alive.

 They've got the capacity to remain on top but I really don't think City who's now below them would let them stay there, so if at all there'd be a change in the standings, then Villa won't go below the 6th position. They're so good to even try qualifying for the UEL next season. As competitive as the EPL has been this year, so far Villa have proven to be strong enough to fight back threats and create value and confidence in the team too.

Chelsea... I just can't figure out what is going on with this team. If only they were more capable at finishing up their dangerous attacks with goals... I mean things would have been much better for them now. They had to move on with Jackson in the centre-forward position. Losing Nkunku had a big impact on Chelsea's performance because Jackson was still playing below expectations. But I heard the news that Nkunku is definitely not injured for that long. This is certainly good news. Hopefully Nkunku can play against Middlesbrough in the second leg. In today's game both teams are very strong, comparatively I think Chelsea team is stronger. The Fulham side did enough to earn a goal. Manchester City against Newcastle, I can't day, but with the zeal to go on top, Manchester City would deal with Newcastle United who will be at home hosting the defending Champions.

Losing three times in a row is certainly not a good result for Newcastle, but Howe is optimistic that he can silence ManCity in today's duel, playing at home Newcastle should be able to make it difficult for Manchester City to get the full three points today, but apart from that Manhcester City is on fire where several of their players are quite complete now, including KDB, who has returned, considering the previous strength, currently Manchester City is ready enough to steal the full three points at St James' Park.

I thank heavens I am not the only one who thinks Chelsea needs to sign at least two new strikers specifically for the task of scoring. Nkuku is among players being rotated to find a balance for the team and although he did try to be instrumental in their win, he still isn't enough to carry the team hopes of finishing as top five.

Manchester city will try as much to regain their top spot mostly as things are beginning to take shape in midfield with KDB back, but it might be sometime for him to regain form or find a new one that would help the attack secure more goals. I would have loved to see him, Haaland and Doku play for long and find a rhythm, am very sure they be good combo upfront.

It's one of the games when the advantage on the field doesn't convert into the final score. The full-time result was 1-0 to Middlesborough despite Chelsea being the dominating side. They still have 2nd leg to play on 23rd at home and I'd still expect them to go through.
They have no real chances of finishing in the top 5 of the Premier League, so I don't think they'd be giving up on the EFL Cup that easy. Their fans want to see some trophy.

The second match will be played at Chelsea's home ground. This will be an advantage for Chelsea who plays as host. Although I predict Middlesbrough will try the bus parking tactic because they have an advantage in the first leg. But that would be very risky because they only lead by 1 goal in the first leg, which means that if Chelsea were able to score just one goal then the score would be a draw and it would continue with extra time. I think a mediocre team like Middlesbrough must be able to maintain their lead and score additional goals because if they make the slightest mistake, that will be Chelsea's chance to turn things around.

Chelsea defense though, ( SMH ) they have to dxxz better, it was a good day to keep clean sheet even with all of that pressure from Fulham.
The late freekick from former player William also wasn't good enough to see them hold Chelsea down. The midfielder's alongside, Gusto did pretty well and how they linked the attackers, you can't just rely on a player like Broja for goals and the same man leading that attack.

They did better to score in the second half but Chelsea had a good walk which was very calculative. They'll miss the experience of Thiago Silva whenever he finally leaves for good!

For the first match I see Manchester City being a solid favourite to win the match. De Bruyne is finally back which must have made Guardiola and fans both very happy. Because De Bruyne is one of the game changers for Manchester City as you know. His creativity and individual skills are really valuable. He made difference in his first match after injury already. I expect him to be in the starting eleven against Newcastle as well.  

The other match is also very attracting.    I think this match could be similar to the Manchester United v Aston Villa match. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tottenham scoring first and then Manchester United trying to make a comeback. I'm confident about both teams to score but it is hard to predict how the match would end.  

Manchester United new owners would be around to see the game for the first time at Old Trafford, I feel like Erik Ten Hag has to convince them he is the right man to work with them.
Also, winning tomorrow against Tottenham Hotspur will see him go ahead of Sir Alex Ferguson winning rate also, it'll be something I love for him since I feel like he should be backed as the man for the club.

The English Premier League game between Chelsea and Fulham at Stamford Bridge earlier today was actually a very tough game. It was a closely contested game which did not produce as much goals as it was mostly predicted before the kick off.

That was the first game of today and just like many, I expected a more entertaining match that'll produce more number of goals than we saw but surprisingly it didn't as the home side made sure they protected the slim lead till the final whistle. That was Chelsea's third straight win in the league and hopefully they'll continue with their current performance to move further up the league table.

The only Chelsea player who I always praise in every match because his performance is always above the average of other players but it is unfortunate when he has a pretty good performance but is not accompanied by the performance of the whole team because in every match Chelsea only 1 or 2 players can play well in 90 minutes of game time.

Palmer is one of the players who has potential, it's just that until now he hasn't got the right club because looking at the record of the club he defended he was very good when at Manchester City but the competition there is very strong and difficult for young players like Palmer against some great players like bernardo for attacking midfielders and for strikers also in the end there are Alvarez and also Haaland. Palmer at Chelsea can be placed anywhere it's just that the club's performance is not supportive so this is also unlucky in other respects for Palmer.

Chelsea was not able to win the match against Middlesbrough. But I think that was expected from almost everyone. So I don't think it is going to make a lot of difference in the perspective for people.

Many fans were excited and had high expectations for the match against Preston, confident that Chelsea would come out victorious, especially since they were facing a seemingly easier opponent like Middlesbrough. Yes, I think I could be wrong. Chelsea really lost that match. And a lot of people obviously wanted Chelsea to win that much. But they were unable to do so. At this point, I do not know what to expect from Chelsea, to be honest. The Preston match was easy for Chelsea. And we did not think that Chelsea was going to lose the match after that. And to be frank I do think that they need to change the coach. Because he is not bringing in the best results. Pochettino and his wrong choices made Chelsea go down against Middlesbrough and this is purely a disaster. Chelsea is a big club and they shouldn’t be found behind Middlesbrough, it was so embarrassing to watch them lose, cause they were definitely the favorites to win that game. They better do all they can to win the 2nd leg.

 Palmer as a striker is an insane decision that cost the team because he missed so many chances that a main striker could probably have converted one or two. I think Pochettino needs to think carefully before approaching a game so that he makes right choices especially in the 2nd leg. He needs to play the players in their main position and not to try out some experiments in a semi final.
