Over the week I've not been very active although I tried to be active sometimes but here is my 4 new entries , I followed the last week format as it was much more flexible to me 1st entry (90 PUs in three sets) 2nd entry (80 PUs in two sets) 3rd entry (90 PUs in three sets) 4th entry (90 PUs in three sets)

Your 4 entries seems to add up to 350 pushups for those 4 days rather than 300 pushups. Thank you JJG... another silly typo error but I did get the total sum up My last entry on the table before this current entry was 3725 so I added 350 which sum up the new Entry 4075 I didn't know why I made the mistake of writing 300... still thinking if I had any related issues with the digit 300 yesterday that made a continuous loop in my brain ... thank you

The weather was much very favorable for exercise in my countryside and I took advantage of it with my push ups exercise. However, consistency is the key if this push ups challenge and am happy that am part of it, I have been receiving complements for the visible and significant changes in my body. Yesterday I did 4 sets of push ups. I did 60 push ups in the 1st set and 60 in the 2nd set and 50 in the 3rd set and 60 in the 4th set. Yesterday I did 230 push ups.

If you haven’t gotten compliments about your body in a month or two months after you started push-ups, then you haven’t been doing nothing just yet. My lady friend actually asked me to slow it down for real, that I was getting too muscular and stronger. I don’t know if that came out of intimidation or she’s just getting scared of the build but, I admit I had to slow it down, reduced my reps and skipped days. That’s why I’ve been a little quiet on this thread but, am trying to pick up the pace once more. Today, I’ve been able to archive; 65 wide-arm push-ups, 50 Standard push-ups and 25 Diamond push ups. I’ve got plans to spice up my push-ups in the coming days. Introducing different styles to the exercise.

yesterdays routine was change up a bit.
20 flights of stairs 3 backwards flights of stairs 20 modded pushups but not the 4th stair step angle the 3rd stair step angle every time I lower a star step they get closer to a normal pushup.
No bike or resistance bands as I walked 2 miles at six flags great adventure.
Back to more normal routine today.

Report of 3 days since 28th... 28th- 4 X20 29th- 4X20 30th- 4X20 =240 100k,CoinMin3r,35,2190,2024-06-30Since I joined this push-up challenge, yesterday I went to a gym center, and I did a chest workout of 5 sets of 20 reps with a 40 kg barbell weight, 2 sets of a military or shoulder workout of 10 reps with a 20 kg barbell weight, 2 sets of a squat workout of 20 reps with a 20 kg barbell weight, 2 sets of a barbell row workout of 20 reps with a 20 kg barbell weight, and I placed my hand in the barbell rod to do an average of 150 push-ups. After I ended my exercise yesterday, I took milk to help me develop my body easily, and I also rested my body to allow me to see the benefits of the workouts I did yesterday. I was able to do 2400 push-ups in 16 days, with an average of 150 push-ups a day. My next push-up target is to do an average of 200 push-ups a day, so that I will gain my stamina back and be able to do 50 push-ups and above in a set.

Wow you're doing so great. You seems to be a strong guy. I know you can/will be able to do 200 a day soon coz once we prepare us mentally for a thing and make up our mind, we can do anything we want.

That’s why I’ve been a little quiet on this thread but, am trying to pick up the pace once I checked the push-up table to see if I could find your push-up details and know how many days you have spent doing push-ups to gain a big muscular body in a short time, but I didn't find your push-up details in the push-up table. I doubt if your statement is real because your push-up details are not on the push-up table; that would have helped us know how many days and how many push-ups you have covered in this push-up challenge. Can you tell us the techniques you used in doing push-ups so that we could use them since we haven't gained the type of muscular body you talk about, even though we have been in this push-up challenge for a longer time than you?

I am not opposed to other kinds of exercise and ideas about nutrition, health and physical fitness, yet of course, in this thread our main focus is pushups, so if you are able to add pushups into your routine (whether you do other exercises or not), that is our main focus in this thread. Whether or not this was your intention, I think you have a point here and you convinced me. I will join you guys from tomorrow on. Why not, it is a nice challenge and I haven't been doing pushups as a regular exercise, so I do have a goal worth pursuing: to what number can I push it if I do pushups on a regular basis and my nervous system adjusts optimally over a long period of time? We will find out here Ever since I started in this thread, I have also been generally keeping track of some other exercises that I do, yet my main focus is the pushups.. and of course, in this thread I mostly try to focus on the pushups too, even though surely some of us will end up describing other aspects about health, nutrition exercises, and surely in my current health status (and age), I cannot do as many exercises (and/or daily activities) as I had been able to do in my younger years.. yet I still feel really good about being able to do pushups and to measure them with specifics, and mostly doing a lot of that on a daily basis. If it doesn't go completely off-topic, I think side topics are an integral part when discussing sports, even specific sports or a specific single activity like pushups. For example, doing pushups nonstop for a very long period of time while neglecting your rear deltoids can lead to significant imbalances and serious pain down the road. Monotonous movements over a long period of time is usually not the best thing to do when you want to avoid inflammation and wear and tear of your ligament and tendon apparatus. But no worries, our bodies can handle quite a lot of stress, but omega 3 would certainly support the system in fighting inflammatory processes. See, that's where all these things intersect although it is just about pushups. I cannot really give any guarantees of anything that I am able to do in the coming months besides pushups, so I know that if I were to add some other exercise or activity or give it some kind of a priority to some other exercise or activity, then there are good chances that my pushups could end up suffering.. which may or may not be an o.k. as trade-offs and balances. Totally fine and it is absolutely legitimate to focus on one specific goal for a while. Rather stick to what you know you can handle before risking to fail achieving your primary goal. In the last 25 days, ever since I had decided to reduce my pushups off of its 200 per day average for the earlier 120 days of my participation in this challenge, my average has been right around 141 pushups per day, which has brought my since the beginning (145 days) pushups average down to about 190 per day.... so maybe I am kind of O.k. with where I am at right now, even though the pushups still hurt I am able to feel that i can do other things too.. so having lower numbers of pushups per day is a bit more achievable for me right now, even though I still kind of wonder if I am maintaining my pushups' strength with my lowering of my pushup amounts.. and so I feel that I just have to play it by ear (stage by stage), and maybe continue what I am doing until maybe I might make some other goal for myself, and I suppose that there is some kind of value having my pushup numbers in front of me on a daily basis (and looking back historically) so that I can see if there might be some reason to make some change of if any change that I might make might be something that I will want to show on my own personal push up numbers side of the ledger, even though I am mostly ONLY reporting the pushups part. Since the body reacts to progressive overload when it comes to building muscle, adjusting the nervous system and strengthening any peripheral tissues, lowering the pushup number will necessarily lead to a decrease in strength of some sort to whatever level you then maintain. But muscle memory ensures that you can go back up quicker than you were able to get there at first. Regarding one of your earlier points about exercise contributing to people living longer, I am not really sure how that plays out or if the empirical evidence supports that kind of a claim, yet of course, one of the reasons that I exercise is because I would like to live longer, but surely I also want to have the strength as I am aging to do other things or at least to appear that I am able to do other things (such as being able to defend myself somewhat).
Every serious medical research publication in the world finds that physical activity is significantly associated with longevity. No serious publication will say the opposite. There are of course things like diminishing returns and statistical individual outliers, like the smoking guy in the neighborhood drinking beer on his couch while celebrating the 97th birthday. But physiological (and psychological) research shows that physical activity prolongs life, one reason being accelerated cell turnover or cell cleaning (getting rid of defective proteins). But this would go too far now and is probably a topic for a dedicated new thread. But please keep exercising and even if it were not for a longer life, it is certainly for a higher quality life as your joints and your muscles will ensure moving feels comfortable for longer than for someone who hasn't been exercising at all. JJG you got a very good average, really. Extrapolation brings you to almost 70,000 pushups in a year. I assure you that makes a difference! Keep going!

Since I joined this push-up challenge, yesterday I went to a gym center, and I did a chest workout of 5 sets of 20 reps with a 40 kg barbell weight, 2 sets of a military or shoulder workout of 10 reps with a 20 kg barbell weight, 2 sets of a squat workout of 20 reps with a 20 kg barbell weight, 2 sets of a barbell row workout of 20 reps with a 20 kg barbell weight, and I placed my hand in the barbell rod to do an average of 150 push-ups. After I ended my exercise yesterday, I took milk to help me develop my body easily, and I also rested my body to allow me to see the benefits of the workouts I did yesterday. I was able to do 2400 push-ups in 16 days, with an average of 150 push-ups a day. My next push-up target is to do an average of 200 push-ups a day, so that I will gain my stamina back and be able to do 50 push-ups and above in a set.

Your prospects are extraordinary, my friend, from consistently doing push ups, to pushing yourself to train in the gym. This will certainly have a positive impact on your body (muscle mass and body fitness). So the muscles you have will definitely get thicker if you continue to do push ups regularly and also train at the gym. But to be honest, I was a little surprised by how heavy a barbell you can lift when training in the gym. Remembering that it seems like this is your first time training at the gym, but you are able to lift weights 40 KG-20 Reps-5 sets (chest muscle training) 20 KG-10 Reps-2 sets (Shoulder muscle training) 20 KG-20 Reps-2 sets (Squat/Leg/thigh/hip muscle training) 20 KG-20 Reps-2 sets (Barbell row/back and shoulder muscle training) Push up 150 times If this is your first time working out at the gym, I think you are an extraordinary person. Because being able to do these exercises in one session on your first experience of training in the gym can be said to be extraordinary. Because I have also been involved in the world of sports for a long time ( Chalistenic and Gym), I know that the portion of training you do is quite heavy for someone who is training with weights for the first time. Because if you look at the types of exercise you do, you could say you train all the muscles in your body in one training session. So you can be sure, you will definitely feel quite excruciating pain again after the training session is finished. Because in my experience, push up training using weights or barbells is an exercise that has different side effects. This means that even though we are used to doing 100-200 repetitions of push ups per day, when we train in the gym we will definitely feel like we are starting from the bottom again. Because when training in the gym and also practicing push ups, the weight lifted by the body is clearly different. If push ups only rely on body weight, then if you practice at the gym you will definitely use barbells/dumbbells. Therefore, I am sure that you will definitely feel pain again after the training session is finished. But after 2-3 times training at the gym, your body will definitely start to adapt again. Apart from that, I have a suggestion for you, when exercising at the gym, I suggest you exercise in 2 sessions (if you have more free time in the week). Divide the training by training the upper body and lower body on different days. For example, on Monday you do exercises to train your upper muscles, including your chest, back, shoulders and triceps. then the next day (Tuesday) you can train the lower body muscles, which include the abdominal muscles, thighs, hips, waist and calves. So basically the training is divided into two sessions like this, the aim is to develop the muscles being trained and get maximum results. Because the energy you have will not be divided too much. ( But you can do this if you have enough free time in the week. And if you too busy, you can still do a full workout like you did). But don't forget, you have a challenge of 100 push ups every day. So you can be sure that if you do other exercises by dividing them as I suggest, you will definitely be able to do push ups better and more regularly. I did 150 push ups in 3 sets on June 29th. Yesterday we had rain here so the weather was cool. I could not leave the house all day because of the rain yesterday. So I did 6 sets of push ups yesterday, I did 300 push ups yesterday. Yesterday I set my highest push up record in one day.

.. right now my pushup reps tend to be between 30 and 55, and so 30 would be pretty slow, and 55 would be faster pushups (and not as good of form when I do the pushups faster)..
This is pretty much where I am as well. I try to keep round numbers though so I’d say my sets are usually between 30-50 with an occasional 60 tossed in. I probably need to push myself more if I want to hit 100 at once someday. Looking at the price today though, I’m wondering if I should go for my goal of hitting BTC’s price in reps in a single set. Today might be the day… The maximum push up I ever did at a go is within 25-45 of which occasionally....also a maximum of 5 set depending.. To intentionally increase my go on a set mostly or probably the first set to see the possibility of hitting 100 at a go is a new vibs that I am catching as we hope BTC hit 100k. Also catching the fun and vitality @Ognasty, just keep giving it a try since there will definitely be a result even if not what is expected... ANOTHER VIB how many pushup will you do the day BTC hits 100k In retrospect To do as much push up as possible in my first set. I was able to run 3set in 55, 25, 20 as opposed to my first set maximum of 45... How I wish it will be consistent (increase in the first set also) Well, it is a brand new month... Last night I managed (2 X 10) - This morning, just ten pushups and this evening I've completed (3 X 10) making sixty push-ups since my last report. 100k,Timelord2067,18,620,2024-06-30 Does anyone see any body changes already during this challenge?
If I reach my shoulder with the other hand and track down about half way... That muscle was fairly sore for about the first ten days and over the last week *seems* to be slightly more noticeable to the touch.
