Since all your coin data remains on the block chain, not in the wallet, forever, one backup of wallet.dat is all you need to get your coins back after a failure if you haven't changed passwords or private keys. That's not too much to do is it? We should ALL be backing up our machines on a regular basis anyway. Don't think I'm not sympathetic about his loss but, we need to be more responsible with our data. |

In my vision, nowadays banks become CryptoSafekeeps, they will work as now, but they will store people's cryptocurrencies. They will be the cryptobanks for those who can not take care their coins safely. |

The new 1.5.1 wallet is a first step towards making backups more visible, we do acknowledge that this is something that needs to be dealt with as we head towards mass adoption. More will be explained when we release the update. |
