I agree the name is a pressing issue. I have been pm'ing daily with C_Z about the name. He has very high standards.
The person with the winning name gets 150 BBR!!
Time to think outside the box. Not ending in coin, note, etc.
The problem is dev may well have different tastes to the community.
No disrespect but initially I think honeypenny/ boolberry are poor choices for such an innovative project.
somewhat akin to dogecoin or bbqcoin thought thankfully not as bad as dafuqcoin.
It projects a playful & childish image of what is underneath a professional project with strong technological merit and potentially hinders serious adoption. I think dev perhaps russian, bulgarian etc.. certainly not native english speaker to see. marketing is a big deal.
Obviously I am biased with my own suggestion of keccash - I think it ticked all the boxes; not an existing word, 2 syllables (ie ripple, facebook, google, apple) relation to both currency and crypto without using tired -coin extension, all domain available, no google hits etc. I think there some other good suggestions posed in the thread also which do fit the criteria requested of a potential name.
Frankly I have become kind of used to the term boolberry by now, almost like you become used to a bad haircut. It grows on you and it certainly is unique.
.
I believe dev is more likely to stick with his choice, we can be here forever listing ideas, It's a shame but this altcoin market is so fast moving a coin can rapidly lose interest. So I'd prefer to just call it a day and begin to go forward with the exchange integration and let this issue that's hindering fall to the wayside. Perhaps if it remains big issue it can be brought up later.
