There are only a handful of DNSCrypt compatible resolvers worldwide, and fewer still that additionally support DNSSEC validation, support Namecoin resolution, and don't log DNS requests.
There is no way to ever know the servers don't log. The operator might not even be aware of the logging, if his server was compromised. We can't honestly sit here and talk about masternodes being compromised and then assume that a few special DNS servers aren't compromised. The only safe way to do this is with a hidden service, so the server can't log because it doesn't even know the client's address (assuming you trust Tor/i2p), or not at all (i.e. just use unaliased addresses for maximum privacy). Maximum privacy at this level is a fantasy until we integrate i2p though, so for now I wouldn't worry about it in practice.

Fully agreed - there's no way to know with absolute certainty that the resolvers aren't logging (since the OpenNIC Tier-2 resolvers list and the DNSCrypt resolvers list are based on operators indicating whether they keep logs or not). Although leaking DNS lookups is a lot less innocuous than anything else;) I do agree 100% that using actual addresses or OpenAlias lookups over i2p to a resolver eepsite are the only ways to do this long-term.

Anywhere I can bet on Superbowl with XMR?
It's not up just yet, but Tippero will have this enabled sometime in the next couple days. It was supposed to go up for the cricket games in february but this seems like a good occasion to debut it early I'll post details when it's ready. do me a favor and PM me a s well.

Let's say you have a wallet with a balance of 123.45 Monero and you want to transfer all of it. As a fee will be deducted, how do you do this if you don't know what the fee is ahead of time?
Start at <total> - 0.01 XMR and work your way down from there? :-P We'll have to add a function to flush a wallet at some stage. That would be good. I have a wallet with around 600 'dust' mining deposits from early on (each <0.1 XMR), ~125 slightly bigger mining deposits at 0.2, and a further 100 at 0.5, plus some larger deposits. It would be great to clean this up at some point with the minimum fuss. On another topic, and chance of a missive landing soon? Thanks, Q

So where does the Per KB transaction fee go? Does it go back to the miners or is it used for something else like development? Its my understanding that after all the XMR's are unlocked from mining (some unknown future date) the transaction fees will go to the miners but for now is that true?
Also how many coins/XMR's can be unlocked in total? Is it like 25 million or something close to that? Once these are unlocked will there ever be additional coins set up for mining or unlocking? I assume that if XMR takes off and becomes popular there might be a need to add more coins to the overall supply. Trying to get an understanding on this.
Thanks

The parameters are in the OP. The base supply is 18.4 million and then there will be a minimum maintenance reward of <1% per year additional coins for mining.

Tippero has grown since last time! He can now play bookie. You can bet on real world events (sports games, etc). The first book was just open for the upcoming American football Superbowl game. To see open book: !bookTo bet 20 monero on a particular team: !bet seahawks 20Tippero bookie games are not made on specific odds, but based on all the bets on this book. Winners share the total amount (minus 1% bookie fee) bet on a book, so if total bets are roughly the same on each team, winners will get about 2x their wager. Similarly, people betting alone on the underdog will win more if the underdog wins. You can only bet on a single outcome per book. Books are expected to be closed to new bets when appropriate to stay fair to people who bet earlier. For sports games, this will be roughly when the game starts. Be sure to place your bets before that time. World cricket championships are in february, and games will likely be included, so drop in in #tippero

Yes. Its run by Fluffypony. Does some magic where your private keys are always kept client side, so yeah. I've kept some monero there for a while. Of course, has all the stipulations of a web wallet. (server could be launched to the moon and then you have a really cold wallet you can't access) re: GUI - word on the street is that its in development. My general understanding (and it might be just mine) is that dev team wants to get internals right before releasing GUI, because a fancy GUI with shitty internals is just a polished turd. As far as I know these internals include the database branch, which has been running stable for me for over 2 weeks. (gets the blockchain out of memory) I forget what some of the other internals are. I don't know if i2p is something they're trying to do pre-GUI. Probably another they're pushing is smart mining - operates similar to BOINC client, wherein your CPU will hash monero while your computer is sitting idle. There's been some other pull requests, but I don't understand them all. Gingeropolous, with your unofficial noob hour monero dev report, signing out.

Of course, has all the stipulations of a web wallet. (server could be launched to the moon and then you have a really cold wallet you can't access) Thats not true. You have access to your funds by the mnemonic phrase, and simplewallet is being made compatible with this type of seed

@Gingeropolous, it is my understanding that the devs are not trying to complete i2p before the GUI is implemented. I am however unsure if anything needs to be completed besides the database
As far as the MyMonero server being launched to the moon, isn't that where everybody is trying to get to?

I didn't know that was in development. I don't think this is true at the moment. I'm pretty sure the mnemonic key you get from mymonero.com IS NOT compatible with simplewallet. It can only be used on the web wallet. I think there are plans to make them compatible, but I don't think they are right now. Edit: I see GingerAle said "simplewallet is being made compatible", which I think is the case, but you couldn't restore your web wallet with simplewallet today or tomorrow.
