I'm loving it, mining zcash with nvidia to buy cheap moneros, good times.

Seriously ?

https://www.coindesk.com/edward-snowden-zcash-is-most-interesting-bitcoin-alternative/

Asked for his thoughts on monero, a competing private currency, Snowden said it was "amateur crypto" and pointed to traceability issues within the tech.

Maybe you would better do the opposite.

He linked to old non-relevant info - so at the least he is uninformed and not updated.

"We are just fools. We insanely believe that we can replace one politician with another and something will really change. The ONLY possible way to achieve change is to change the very system of how government functions. Until we are prepared to do that, suck it up for your future belongs to the madness and corruption of politicians."

I'm betting my money where my mouth is. Are you? Feel free to dump your moneros, I'll buy them all.

Snowden is free to collect his bounty if he pointed to a monero flaw.

Some of the issues were in cryptonote.

The very early users knew all security stuff wasn't implemented yet, we were the alpha, beta users.

there is still more coming and the coin moves from tech strength to tech strength.

I urge Monero to rise up and overthrow the cryptocronies.

Or something...   Cheesy

i buy and it drops..im sick of it i just sold it all  Angry

You must be doing it wrong... buy when the price has just dropped so the risk is smaller. Of course you will lose money if you buy at the top

He is doing the opposite - Of what the paid shill is saying.  Clearly snowden did zero research, and read the script he was given.

Or coindesk just made it all up...

Neither would be surprising.

Anyone else get the feeling that Monero is still massively undervalued?

I'm feeling $1000 in the next 2-3 years and at least $200-300 by this time next year.

Can't snort crack through a rolled up bitcoin Wink

What's up with this coin... when you mine it it's minimum 2-5 xmr for exchange wallet. Windows wallet doesn't work - third day now... Daemon doesn't start... wallet crashes... this thing doesn't work... how the hell is everybody using this coin?

All of that not true (except maybe YOUR windows wallet not working)

All of this is true. I test win64 wallet on 2 systems - both have almost identical OS. On first system Monero Wallet doesn't load up, it crashes, then I have to manually end process - pain in the ass basically.

On second system, it actually loaded, but then when I try to start daemon it hangs again for hours and never finishes the process, I have to kill it manually - more pain in the ass. It doesn't work. Hey when I see this coin software working, maybe I'll even buy it... doesn't look good to me so far... I don't understand why the price is so high for this coin with such dodgy software...

Me, too. The difference between Monero and other coins is huge. I think Monero is unique and will hit $ 200 by the end of the year.

He linked to something which has been debunked:

For both systems, what happens if you open monerod.exe manually? Just double click on it to open it manually. Also, if your system isn't able to sync, you can always use a remote node:

I started monerod manually... after shortwhile the gui started syncing... I'll have to test on the other system to confirm. It should still work from the GUI though... maybe somebody on the software side should look into this problem, I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem with daemon not being able to launch from the GUI

I've never had a single problem from the software that I can remember and I've been here since 2014.

All the same, think the same coin price greatly underestimated, a year will be much higher than the price of the coin.

Have you tried importing the bootstrap before you run the daemon again?  It usually fixes stuff like that.
This is how https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/3243/how-to-synchronize-the-gui-wallet-using-the-blockchain-bootstrap

Curiously, I checked his recent posts and the guy seems to have all kinds of problems with wallets (sumokoin, signatum, now monero.) Me thinks it's his computer setup...? Just don't like how he bashes the software when no one else is having those same problems... especially with the latest Helium Hydra wallet!

Snowden is trapped in a bubble for quite a long time now.

We all love the internet, but imagine that was your only source of information and experiences.

You have to feel sorry for him,
