For 1 year? Why not 11 months?

It's garbage that has nothing more going for it other than shills pushing it, kind of like are doing here. Not to mention the paid sig campain that they are calling an airdrop. It is nothing but one big lie and as long as you scumsuckers get paid to shill it it will continue to drag idiot n00bs into it.

Bitcoin had tor functionality for a very long time. I don't see that to be any advancement in technology or even an interesting idea, it's just a charade for the uninitiated, additionally tor has its set of issues as well. And how can they claim anonymity and privacy when they have a fucking rich list http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:1VuuQ3jsIRMJ:explorer.deeponion.org/richlist+&cd=3&hl=en&ct=clnk

Use your head people, don't be sheep. Running an aggressive signature campaign does not validate their pointless shenanigans.

Onion had really picked up in the middle, the prices had soared, but the airdrops i guess killed it or may be the devs dumped hard, still hope this can get back in someday, although personally not holding much
also had a friend who had problems with the wallet tried to contact the dev but did not get much response or help and lost his coins

Lots of speculation probably. Price will drop again and rise, as do all altcoins. Monero probably has a big future ahead of it though as it is directly competing and improving over Bitcoin on some important aspects like privacy.

You mean like a security patch. Lol

This shit is integrated into chips microcode can always be rewritten anyone knows that. It is a design flaw whether intentional or not. There are backdoors in everything now. Hold onto you old hardware. Hell you can stick a usb stick on your system and it can rewrite this without you even knowing.

The amount of vulnerabilities is astonishing https://security-center.intel.com/advisory.aspx?intelid=INTEL-SA-00086&languageid=en-fr
Classic bofs? In 2017? Surely they have some old linux distro embedded eh? So old vulnerabilities became new? Interesting times.
Hopefully none of them can be triggered remotely.

Hello everybody from the Monero-Comunity Smiley
i have a question regarding the anonymity in Monero.
Can somebody explain to me how secure it is and how does it work ?
Is there any possibility to trace the transactions?
Regards

Hi there, good starting point: https://www.monero.how/

https://www.monero.how/how-does-monero-privacy-work

https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/5zgail/rmonero_newcomers_please_read_everything_you_need/

(And no the transactions can't be traced since Monero has an opaque blockchain. Try for example the Monero Rich List compared to Bitcoin's Rich List, or have a look at a recent Monero Block and its transactions)

- You can figure out what will happen, not when /Warren Buffett
- Pay any Bitcoin address privately with a little help of Monero:
 on.your.mark, get set, go!

Never said it was pointless (putting words in my mouth and then arguing against them is a logical fallacy as you well know Tongue), I said the vulnerabilities are cooked in, back in the days when a Processor could not be changed from it's instruction code then it was safe as soon as you allow microcoding that can change instructions you have opened up the entire platform to vulnerabilities. Tell me you understand this?

Lets not say you guys were not warned. Wink

Hopefully none of them can be triggered remotely.

Unfortunately the list of vulnerabilities that exist can be triggered remotely is extensive and not limited to ANY OS or manufacturer, I am of the opinion they are intentionally placed and then patched when found and exploited by the people not cleared to use them. But thats just me and my tinfoil hat. Smiley

Yeah intel has a long list for sure.

https://security-center.intel.com/advisories.aspx

And Linux had a vulnerability for 20 years that just got "found out" a few years back, It's an OS that gives it's users a sense of security but like apple users, it doesn't keep you safe alone. TYhere are some nice OS's being developed with security in mod first like Qubes that I like.

That's pretty much why I care about this project, your right to not be spied on is freedom and we do not have that right nor are we legally allowed that right and I believe that is wrong. People think the constitution gives them that right and are raised to believe that when it is completely false.

There is always a "Possibility" of tracing something it all boils down to how much time and effort it is worth to put into that task. Monero is the toughest nut to crack afa the world in general knows. Meaning it is the safest coin atm afaik.

Sorry, I was not clear.  Fixed it.

If it can be remotely re-written, what then would be the point of deleting it?
