In the mean time Monero wallet keeps crashing, doesn't sync. Doesn't crash in a predictable pattern - crashes when it wants to. It looks like an unfinished school project by a 5th grader... just one big mess.

And in the mean time all my systems are performing well... all other wallets are syncing, staking running for a weeks at a time...
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Does this mean we are about to see a big pump? Isn't that the way it has worked in the past?

You can't even really threaten me with anything you damn retard lol... you just make your whole community look like sh*T - which it certainly is.

I understand why their software works on some systems while it doesn't on others... Nothing wrong with my system... they are just literally sh*tty programmers... beginner amateurs at best... self taught... that's why I think they rest of the software is also very dodgy.

While I enjoyed laughing at the exchange today, let me politely ask, "isn't it funny the wallet works perfectly fine for everyone except you?" Try https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/ or https://monero.stackexchange.com/ for your specific problems, you might get the help you need.

I tried to search where I can learn cryptonote/cryptonight development and I could not find anything, no books , no video lessons.

Objective to learn is to contribute to Monero eco system, creating demo course about how wallet, pools and API works. So that other developers can also you and visualize how they can use monero and cryptonote for their app needs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Yes true, for the currently mining Monero unprofitable, I also turned its mining to Zencash. Hope to have the latest information and guidance so that mining Monero more profitable.

I found the XMR mining is more profitable than ETH.

What's up with this coin... when you mine it it's minimum 2-5 xmr for exchange wallet. Windows wallet doesn't work - third day now... Daemon doesn't start... wallet crashes... this thing doesn't work... how the hell is everybody using this coin?

All of that not true (except maybe YOUR windows wallet not working)

All of this is true. I test win64 wallet on 2 systems - both have almost identical OS. On first system Monero Wallet doesn't load up, it crashes, then I have to manually end process - pain in the ass basically.

On second system, it actually loaded, but then when I try to start daemon it hangs again for hours and never finishes the process, I have to kill it manually - more pain in the ass. It doesn't work. Hey when I see this coin software working, maybe I'll even buy it... doesn't look good to me so far... I don't understand why the price is so high for this coin with such dodgy software...

For both systems, what happens if you open monerod.exe manually? Just double click on it to open it manually. Also, if your system isn't able to sync, you can always use a remote node:

https://moneroworld.com/#nodes

I started monerod manually... after shortwhile the gui started syncing... I'll have to test on the other system to confirm. It should still work from the GUI though... maybe somebody on the software side should look into this problem, I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem with daemon not being able to launch from the GUI

What specific OS are you using? Also, could you paste the last 100 lines or so of bitmonero.log? It's in C:\ProgramData\bitmonero. Note that, by default, this directory is hidden.

Lastly, did you try a remote node?

Privacy matters, use Monero - A true untraceable cryptocurrency

Totally trash post - this Stack solution has no relation to Monero, rather it is copy-paste of SatochiPay, Monetha and dozen of other emerging crypto-payment processors, which dreams to take part from global e-commerce from Worldpay, Stripe etc. All of their business opportunities in Europe zone will be eliminated in 2018 due to PSD2 implementation, and sooner or later will be eliminated in other parts of world.

Is monero still cheap to invest ?
Do dollar cost averaging.
Monero's long term trend is up, but its price is extremely volatile.  That's why I suggest dollar cost averaging.
Let's say that you have x amount of cash that you want to invest in monero.  If you spend all that cash right now on monero, the price could drop by half, and you wouldn't feel very good about that.
So pick a timeline over which you want to make your investment and do it gradually.  You could buy a certain dollar amount of monero every week for the next six months, for example.  Or, instead of caculating it based on dollars, buy a certain amount of monero as priced in bitcoin at a weekly (or whatever) interval on poloniex or bittrex, or your exchange of choice.
