You would probably need around 10 Bitcoin at the rate that it is going, 10 Bitcoin will be worth a lot in 20 years.

how much do you think it is going to worth in 20 years? many say $4000-5000 so only if that happens you will have 40K-50K dollar and that is not such a big amount to retire now with especially with the inflation rate in 20 years.

so assuming the price is not going there and the inflation is still there i say you need a lot more than 10 bitcoin.
That price range could happen if we continue to progress, bitcoin has a good future because we are increasing in numbers for the adopters, it does not need to be regulated for this people as long as it is not declared as illegal we will continue to use bitcoin and merchants that time will also increase IMO.

If to retire today you'd be satisfied with $2,000,000 you'll need around 200 BTC in 20 years IMO. Of course there are some predictions that Bitcoin will cost $100k or even $500k in 20 years, but I think $10k per coin is much closer to reality.
The real issue is not how much dollars bitcoin will be worth but what can you by with that amount of dollars, if bitcoin is worth 10k dollars but with those 10k you can only buy a bread loaf then bitcoin is not worth much.

For me you need to have more cash (fiat) than to have bitcoin in your retirement, we do not know what will happen in bitcoin in the future if it will be profitable or not but if you have fiat you are sure that is what you need in your retirement period.

Well, I think that is correct, we should not trust our retirement in bitcoin the future is uncertain although we are seeing that bitcoin is progressive now. We should always consider that it is better to be on the safe side and we do not rely our future on the risky investment, whatever the outcome whether we will be profitable consider that as a bonus.

I guess 10 BTC was very little for the next 20 years. BTC maybe we should have more than that. bitcoin prices are likely in the next 20 years will be very high, so if you can collect a minimum of 100 BTC at the time, maybe you can build a business that is promising and could make you enjoy their old age

Yeah you are right.  10 BTC would not be enough and we do not know how will it cost after 20 years.  As long as we can earn then we should earn.  I would not stop until I make myself clear and secure that I could make myself comfortable before retiring.  I wish I could retire earlier and have a life that I want.

you cannot just put an investment to a strange random altcoin ,
will be better to invest on a well-known coin like bitcoin ,
it has a bright future rather than any other cryptocurrency ,
you need to make a reserch , but i can suggest the best altcoin to invest so far are ethereum.

Yeah and we cannot afford to hold our altcoin for a long term as it is very risky as we are not sure how long it will survive but we can surely hold bitcoins in long term.

That is the right way to play with altcoins, and I don't think anyone will prefer to hold them for a long time as everyone is aware that it can die even within next few hours.

Yes that's why it's difficult to trade with altcoin without knowledge but if you'll already know you will learn how to be careful to trade with any altcoin.

higher risk higher possibility you can earn profit ,
isn't it a principle base of investment? no risk no profit ,
everything will worth to the risk you take , so take it easy ,
you just need to put a little money for long term investment on ethereum.

Agree if you dont risk at all then you cant earn much or you cant earn anything! Trading is a business ! taking risk is normal so that you can earn pretty lot from it!. If you are really into trading then you should risk your bitcoin or money! It is useless thing if you dont risk at all.

I'm sure you will need many bitcoins to retire in 20 years. 20 years are very long time, maybe you need around 1000 bitcoins. It's depend on yourself though, if you can live with low life, you only need less bitcoins.

When no one is spending, it is good because the price will increase as demand surges and that way, even 100 bitcoins are fine.
Or if you are unsure, just take the exact number of what you see it in price and that's 600, as 600 x 600 is $360000 which is not less to live a luxurious life after retirement.

Of course you need a lots of bitcoins if you are going to retire because you are going to save that and you have so much plan right ? you need to compute it all or save it more than you are saving i think you need to work hard to work for bitcoin until your bitcoin wallet looks like your keyboards number like 987654321 bitcoins.

It depends on the standard of living that you consider satisfactory, and the country where you will live, since the cost of living is an important factor. But I believe that anywhere, 100 BTCs would be enough in twenty years.
