Question: Should a portion of the unclaimed coins be made available for those that missed the swap?
Yes - We have enough to spare, even for late-comers.
No - Sufficient notice and time to complete the swap was given. It wouldn't be fair to those that were punctual.

In both the techie and the financial worlds, COFFEE is a staple commodity and an essential (legal) substance without which no human being could survive or succeed in those or any related fields of work.

Therefore, among all the possible coins in the universe, COFFEE coin must endure and thrive, by operation of natural law.  The very notion of a crypto-economy lacking a "coffee coin" is as incongruous as that of a planet having life without liquid water.

The previous dev was quick enough to recognize the value of the meme.  I hope that the new devs are sincere and competent, for their sakes.  Because if you guys screw this up, you will be offending the primal forces of nature and upsetting the very space time continuum of our universe.  We are talking about cosmically bad karma, the wrath of the titans, reincarnation as an intestinal parasite, etc.

So, gang, please get this right.  Stay motivated.  Take no chances.  Put all your hearts, minds, and souls into this.  You are not just running a crypto business or a mere coin platform, you are now the stewards of a supremely potent meme which, if mishandled, could alter the fate of our entire solar system.  CFC has unlimited potential.  Woe to the dev who offends CFC.

I know.  That was over the top.  But this thread needed some life.

Actually, I might be more correct about this than you can possibly imagine.  You new devs better serve these coffee coins well, because your eternal fortunes are now intertwined with theirs, and nature is already extremely pissed off at our species.  Your work will determine the fates of many  Wink

Sorry.  Bye.

I <3 you so much right now. Coffee is a very marketable commodity, indeed. Hence the reason I jumped at the opportunity to take this out of the previous dev's hands and turn this broken coin around. Once we've gotten a solid foundation built, i.e. working wallet, recognition of legitimacy, diverse input from the community, etc., I can turn my focus to building CFCGuild.com into the international coffee empire it's destined to be. One bean at a time, my friend...one bean at a time.  Wink

So if I buy Coffeecoin now and just keep them on Bittrex they will automatically turn into CFC'V2', correct?

Yes. Just be sure to withdraw to the new client when Bittrex says it's time to do so.

And the when does the new client become available?

My target is by this Sunday, but it really depends on when OCdev can get it to me for testing. I want to make sure it's up to snuff before I release it into the wild.

Oh, it worked. Still in Stake Balance but it's a bit more now and the blockchain is up-to-date.

Glad to hear! Hurry and get your coins to an exchange before something else bad happens...once their out of stake balance, that is.  Grin

It's not just you, even I'm having syncing issues. The former dev left us with one hell of a coin/wallet, didn't he?  Roll Eyes

Managed so far to get just under half (slowly) to the exchange, via sending then repair wallet then repeat, sometimes getting back what didn't arrive, though now wallets says fine, with over half mia Sad....I'll keep playin

We're almost there, bud, hang in there. I've got vested interest in this coin (a legitimate business in the works), so I'm not abandoning it any time soon. I'm not saying throw all your trust in me (a complete stranger), but know that I'm doing my best.

Verify:
You have the most recent client (brown logo, not green/white).
The two nodes listed in the OP are in your coffeecoin.conf file, and that file is in the folder with your blockchain, not your wallet executable

Try:
Delete your blockchain and redownload it (NOT your wallet.dat).

I noticed there seem to be big gaps of 8 to 10 hours on the same block, then loads of blocks get found really quickly. Hopefully the blockchain should start moving again in a few more hours.

The current network is borked

As long as the transaction is loaded into the blockchain, it will EVENTUALLY get confirmed. Sometimes this takes several hours due to the unusual block times we've been experiencing lately. Send your coins and be patient...that's the best advice I have at the moment.

As for the syncing issues, I've experienced them as well and I'm out of ideas. It comes and goes, not sure why. For those with major issues during the relaunch (can't send coins at all) I'm devising a plan to handle your swaps manually. As of right now, that might take place after the exchanges are fully updated to V2 to deter fraud.

What I'm trying to avoid and why I don't like the manual-way:
A user feigns wallet issues, but already has their V1 coins available to send/sell. I send them V2 coins while exchanges are still accepting V1 for the swap. They sell their V1 coins, wait for the exchanges to swap to V2, then sell those too.

I could use cfcguild.com somehow to handle manual swaps, just trying to work out how. Perhaps a secured form where a user can upload their V1 wallet.dat, wallet password (if encrypted) and a V2 address. I manually extract the V1 coins, then send the same amount of V2 coins to the user.... Just playing around with ideas, here.

That's a great suggestion, but it doesn't quite apply to our situation. I will only handle manual swaps for those that cannot send their coins to the exchange due to wallet issues. Any one that can send is encouraged to send their coins to an exchange as soon as possible. The manual swap will most likely be done after the exchanges are no longer accepting V1 coins, to prevent double-spending.
