G-blades are the same chip as the GridSeeds. Just a lot more of them.

OK, I finally made some progress.

CGminer: removed the API stuff from the json file. Still doesn't detect anything

BFGMiner: After a series of reboots it started working...  Huh

Will try now to balance pools  Tongue

Same here with cgminer...

I didn't get it, right after I got it going after a few reboots I am not shutting it down at all. It's a pain to get it backup.

Hmm, usually a reboot or two will get rid of the spinning wheel of death (lol). Anything else I can try?

Hoping for some advice from the techies in the room.

I ran across this thread today when researching a better software solution to run my 160 Gridseeds, I am currently running them with Hashra Controlla as I see many people in thread once did as well.  I like Hashra because it is EASY, I am a pretty techie guy I guess.......but not so much with all this mining stuff......at least not yet:-)  I really liked not having to do a bunch of manual tweaking and researching for optimum settings with Hashra.

I have however had a couple of problems mining a few different coins, a couple I get huge rejection rates which I am told has something to do wtih BFGMiner that Hashra uses.....I dunno though.  Also have never been able to mine Solar Coin for some strange reason, never could figure that out.

It looks like Minera may be a good solution for me and sounds great that it uses a few different miner programs offering more choice, if I am understanding that correctly.  I honestly do not understand half of the technical stuff being discussed in the many pages I read in this thread.

Has this Minera software gotten to a point of ease of use and setup from a somewhat novice at all this?  Trying to figure out if I should give this a try!  60 of my Gridseeds are at another location as well which I control remotely via remote access to another Windows machine at the location, Hashra has dealt with this pretty well.  This is another reason I went with Hashra originally.

Thanks in advance!!

And GREAT job with all this man........been waiting for better mining solutions for these things:-)

Please everybody try to update the code (don't need to run upgrade script):

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
sudo git fetch --all
sudo git reset --hard origin/master

Then, please I absolutely need some logs, without those I cannot do anything to support you.

So if there is still the problem with the loading in the dashboard, do this:

* open the URL http://<ip>/minera/app/stats
* check this page hasn't PHP error and report them if there are
* If the page looks ok please save it and send to me
* Check also the logs under: application/logs/log-<date>.php please send latest one to me if you are still in trouble (DON'T PASTE IT HERE!)

Please let me know.

ok guys, I think I solved the problem with the infinite looping dashboard, just do a git pull/fetch:

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
sudo git fetch --all
sudo git reset --hard origin/master

Next time, please, try to open the web inspector (Firefox/Chrome) and look at the console error to find if everything is working well (in this case there was an error preventing the dashboard to terminate the refresh process).

Thanks

HOLY CRAP..........where have you been the last 2 months since I got my Gridseeds.

Dude...........this fricken thing ROCKS!!!!!!

I obviously decided to give this a go before waiting for a response to my above post and I am in awe with what you have done here man, seriously...........PROPS brotha!!

As stated above, I don't understand half this technical stuff being discussed so not sure how to do what you just posted, but I did run into a problem with the update via the console.  I first installed the available image, 0.2.3 and tinkered with it for a bit..........was AMAZED watching this thing auto tune my freaking GridSeeds.......WOW, lovin that!!  Slowly the hashrate got better and better.

Then I decided to do the upgrade and experienced what I guess is a problem you were working on, db just stuck in refresh.  So reloaded the SD card with 0.2.3 and got it back up again.

Can you explain to a noob how to do upgrade, should I just wait till the upgrade in console will work?

Haven't tested SolarCoin yet, but the other problem I mentioned has been fixed using your beautiful GUI:-)  Not a single fricken hardware error yet.......I was getting over a 100% rejects with Hashra on this coin.

Never been able to monitor my temps with Hashra.  What is an acceptable temp for the 5 chip Gridseeds?  I am seeing 65 celsius but it is really hot here right now.

Lastly...................THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Noticing now too with 2 of my miner tabs open with Minera running on them, that Firefox freezes up for a second every minute or so.  This normal?

Well, serious now, if you wanna I just updated the image file with the 0.3.0, so if you follow the link to download it again, you should get the latest one.

BTW, with the 0.2.3 or 0.3.0 you have to update the code cause I just fixed one bug, do this:

* get into the raspberry via SSH (use Putty if you are on Windows) username and password are "minera"
* when you are in copy and paste one line by one these commands:

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
sudo git fetch --all
sudo git reset --hard origin/master

and if you are on 0.2.3, please do also this latest one:

Code:
sudo ./upgrade_minera.sh

You should be ready. Please let me know.

Cool man, headed to bed for the evening but will jump on this first thing tomorrow.

If I re-download the image, can I skip the Putty thing......I suppose I can figure that out but have never done before.

This is extremely simple:

download putty: http://www.putty.org/

start it up once you've downloaded it(no install required)

input the ip address of your raspberry and click "Open" at the bottom

now put these in one line at a time(beginner tip: copy the line and right click in the putty window):

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
sudo git fetch --all
sudo git reset --hard origin/master

and if you are on 0.2.3, please do also this latest one:

Code:
sudo ./upgrade_minera.sh

now do this to make sure it has updated:
Code:
sudo reboot

Hmm, that doesn't solve anything for me...

I'm on chrome 35.0.1916.153 m

I keep getting the infinite loop and it seems to come from this:

Code:
GET http://192.168.13.182/minera/index.php/app/stats 500 (Internal Server Error) jquery-2.1.1.min.js:4

It looks like this:

Code:
A PHP Error was encountered

Severity: Notice

Message: Undefined property: App::$miner

Filename: core/Model.php

Line Number: 51

Code:
git log -n1

Did you save the settings at least once after updating?
