Why should I buy now and not after the second PoW stage to avoid to get burned on a dump?

we expect a slight dump when second pow kicks in due to mulitpools profiting but that will mean cheap coins for us

its like any coin you gotta ask yourself .. will it go lower and stay lower, all i can tell you is that many people here regret not buying in at 800 sats only 1 week ago

so like any trade its your guess .. will it go up will it go down .. we don't care as we are more interested in the long time value and for us that means a steady rise until it finds its true level.

I do not know what the effect of these phases will be, but I feel it may lead to a better distribution and, thus, less dumping.

Both sides are valid, we can't really know what the price will be during that phase.

It was 500 sats a few days ago which is incredibly low for 30 million supply I don't think we'll reach that again. Why? Because we're just starting with marketing and look at the effect on the price, also we'll keep on releasing weekly updates so I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of buy support during the last phase, and so the price will not fall as low as it was. But once again we never know what will happen, you may pay more, you may pay less but my bet is on more .

As for the lock it's sorted and yes it was about giveaways, so please once again giveaways happen outside of this forum.

@ShiThing many giveaways going on, but the best way to win silkcoins is to write a blog post if your blog is not fresh new you'll get 1000SC bounty

Introducing Operation Shock & Awe



What is Operation Shock & Awe?

Operation Shock & Awe is the internal name for a social initiative spearheaded through a series of giveaways from various outlets. The aim of operation shock and awe is to do a blitz of SilkCoin and get as many people as possible to hear about SilkCoin, download our wallet, learn about our features and in the process get listed on further exchanges.


How will Operation Shock & Awe work?

Operation Shock & Awe is a 2-part initiative.

Part 1, which is currently underway and will continue all the way through to the 2nd PoW phase, will be used to spread the word around about SilkCoin and in turn get listed on MintPal. This will provide us some stability and foundation going through to the 2nd PoW phase.

Part 2, which will collerate with the start of the 2nd Pow phase, will be a full on social media blitz to get as many people as possible to hear about SilkCoin. We already have some big crypto names in social media lined up ready for part 2. The names of these social media accounts will be anounced at the start of part 2.

We are currently at the POS stages. It will go back to POW at 50k block.
You can mine it then as per normal =)
It has 2 stages of POW for a fairer distribution.

I do wonder if it is a good thing to target Mintpal "before" the end of PoW period.  That would help the multipool dumping and, in fact, would hit "keepers-miners" as many here are.  But hey, at least that will give us relatively cheap coins to buy - but wont look healty.

If multi pools want to dump they can also do it at the othet exchanges and even if they do it, that means cheaper cpins for us, because the price on which pools are dumping doesn't reflect the actual value of the coin.
