Why don't the dev just hire someone from the outside to help fix this issue or offer a bounty. I'm just saying. Dev Rat4 from Blackcoin helped fix Cinni Wallet, Mint wallet, and I think one more but I'm not sure. I just want this coin and its features fully working. I holding coins and not selling because I believe in this coin.

1. As usual go into:

-Windows
  %appdata%\Roaming\VeriCoin

-Mac
  ~/Library/Appplication\ Support/Vericoin/

2. Keep wallet.dat and delete everthing else (best to backup wallet.dat too)

3. Install wallet:

-Mac
  download wallet place anywhere and open it up, the block will sync may take a little while.

-Windows
  we now have an installer, uncheck bootstrap.dat if you don't want to hard import the blockchain (can take 5-10 minutes) and just download it like normal.  Keep it checked if you want to hard import the block to avoid being stuck.  Follow install instructions and run.



-If you get a wallet.dat error on the wallet window, you have a corrupted wallet.dat file follow these steps:

Click on the help menu, then Debug window, now click on the console tab.
In the text field type in this command with your receive address (public address)

dumpprivkey <address>

copy and paste this key into a text file.

Close vericoin-qt

Now delete everything in directory mentioned above including wallet.dat (best to keep a backup)

Now open vericoin-qt and let it load full block

In console tab mentioned above now type this with your private key from text file

importprivkey <privatekey> ( may take 5 minutes or so)

Fixed a bug in the staking protocol that caused some clients to hang and lose sync with the network.  Also limited connectivity to the newer more stable clients.

I had recently been knocked out of sync and now this new wallet is getting caught on blocks whilst trying to update the blockchain with a fresh wallet. will check back later and hopefully will be fixed by then.

ALl i know is I cant figure out why im constantly out of sync. Im not a guru, im not a programmer or coder. Why isnt this built in the wallet download. I cant even use my Vericoin cause its stuck in 'stake' and not spendable. I restart wallet over & over, always out of sync, even after 24 hrs of leaving it running. Please be more end user friendly. PLEASE.

I did that, yesterday, and even added the nodes that some one posted here, but not that 'staking=0' part. Ill try that now, ty for the help.. sorry im not a guru... this is just very frustrating.
