The one I am taking about ended up being a Ponzi scheme. This was a site which said they did the arbitrage with your money. Arb is just trading the difference in price between multiple exchanges.

Ok thanks. I thought it was something like moving your coins between exchanges on a frequent basis, in order to buy cheap here, and sell high there. But with the time it takes to withdraw, run through the blockchain and deposit, the difference in price would be gone or even reversed.

So how would they be able to do it in a fast enough manner in order to make money like that?

You will have to search for it. Many threads about I do not want hijack this thread any more then we already have. Now if you have a question about SYNC we can entertain that here.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

I think SYNC doesn't have enough problems, so add one more from me Cheesy Wallet crashes windows if left open (is overnight long time??? is 3-4 hours long time???). It crashed my system twice already, running no other programs but OS and wallet. I think it causes windows to BSOD.

I'm Windows superuser so don't even try to tell me to do some bulls**t, like install updates or drivers. My system is Win7 x64, has all updates and drivers and other stuff and it runs just fine for long periods of time.

Probably just an issue with your machine then, I have had my wallet open 24/7 and never crashed my Windows machine

I have i5-3210M and 4GB of ram. Computer is new. Before SYNC I run other wallets without problems for weeks, including Bitcoin Core.
THERE IS PROBLEM IN WALLET, like it or not.

@raskul - buy me a mac, there is BTC address in my signature. I'm not going to spend couple thousands of $ to buy a sh**ty mac.

Well since you are a superuser, look through the .dmp generated on crash to look for your problem

Yeah also just raised a ticket with them as my sync coins havent arrived to my wallet been 12 hours, did see on a earlier page that their might be a wallet update, but wallet links on page 1 dont seem to be working.. not sure if wallet outta  date would prevent coins arriving as my wallet does seem to be fine.

ok guys Richie Lai responded to me (that was pretty prompt!), looks like their wallet was on block 8321 when mine was already on 8325. He will kick the wallet again and I am sure it will come through. All good! Just received another stake!
